  • that sounded horrible :P

  • you use a moogerfooger?

  • Awww, why didnt you go on 0.0

  • did he deliberetly fail at the end?

  • its the best part of the song, amazing

  • you should set that tremolo effect with a pedal so you could change the rythm... In my opinion !

  • could you share the guitar rig preset?

  • dont have anymore =(

try fuzz + harmonix + tremolo

  • @marcoc2 thats incredibly unhelpful

  • this is actually pretty cool, sounds like the song.

  • Check my other videos. I know how to play.

I just didn't know that Matt use a Whammy bar as tremolo..

  • nice! how did you manage the effect without the whammy though? i know some tremolo was added obviously... but anyways. sounded just like it.

  • Tremolo and Whammy Pedal

  • your using the detune setting right?

  • Using Guitar Rig

  • OKOKOK... I Know now that Matt uses a Whammy bar..

But i'm not a Muse fan, just admire them..

Not everyone could get this by ear..

  • matt uses the whammy's bar ¬¬

  • uhh...you know he uses a whammy bar right?

    not an effect

  • It was fine, well for the most part anyways, until the tremolo effect was heard with the last few notes. That sounded like some old GBA game lol. The beginning was fine.

  • tip: use a real camera, and not a cell phone one

  • oh man! thats a good tip! its VERY HARD to keep that thing stood up

actualy and need to dry my new phone. i think its cam is pretty better..

but a web cam should be a lot easier to handle.. unluckly im very poor =/

  • actualy I need to try my new phone***

  • Very nice sound, the tremolo part sounds extremely crappy with that effect though XD

  • how do you take out the guitar parts on songs like this?

  • ht

    tp://w

    ww

    .guitarbackingtrack

    .

    com/bts/Muse

    .

    htm

  • go to guitarbackingtracks(dot)com ;)

  • excuse me, guitarbackingtrack (without the s xD)

  • You nailed it!

  • you had the sound perfect

  • nicee.

  • that sounds awesome. My band is going to cover this song =D

  • If you could upload the guitar rig preset I would really appreciate it.

  • Sorry but i'e lost this preset =/

But its something with fuzz, synthetizer and tremolo

  • Did you use a fuzz pedal? / what guitar synth did you use?

  • it's all done on Guitar Rig

  • How did you create this beautiful sound!?!?!

Please tell me the effects you have used!

    Thanks :D

  • i can get that same sound by setting my digitech whammy pedal at 2 octaves down with the pedal up... :P but i agree...it is kickass.

  • You're awesome, dude! Keep rocking! I love your talent!

  • nice effect

  • mat bellamy uses fuzz factory and a whammy bar :)

  • A Whammy bar or a vibraro Effect

  • Thats pretty sweet, but I'm sure you can get the same effect with a whammy bar?

  • actually yeah, thats how i play it, but the synth is just easier to do instead of just killin the whammy

  • anyone have any ideas on Line 6 Pod settings that can come close to this?

  • thats not how muse does. but cool

  • wow that is spot on i wish i had that effect my effect is no where near lol

    check our cover out

    type Tacado knights of cydonia

  • sweet ass cover

I gotta ask if the GR-20 has any deep fuzzy synth sounds ala hysteria/tiro? Fuzz pedals and filters aint cutting it for me and I'm thinking about buying a gr-20

    thanks

  • Well Matt Bellamy uses a Fuzz Factory if that's any help. And for the bass on Time is Running Out and Hysteria, it's a big muff. But those are bass not guitar. And if you thought they were guitars...then you suck...

  • When did I ever say those were guitars? For Hysteria it's bass layered with Synth and same for TIRO. They used a Roland JP-8000.

  • That's possible, but when you are playing it on your guitar, do you layer it with a Roland JP-8000? No, therefore, that information is useless.

  • The big muff is for guitar... Chris bi-amps his rig to make up for the loss of low-end the muff causes.

  • Yeah, and they make one for bass too...

  • Well seeing as i posted that a month ago and the Bass Muff is new that was probably before they released it.

  • It's been out a lot longer than that I believe.

  • I just wanted to show the effect similar to this part

  • matt belamy uses a whammy bar to get that effect

  • yeah, hard to beat the real thing.

  • very nice

  • nice man! sounds just like it. 5 stars

  • is aDIGITECH XSW SYNTH WAH effect pedal good enough to get this sound ??

  • i dont know.

and i didnt know this pedal exist.

i saw some videos and, if you use less "envelope" effect and more "synth" maybe you can get it.

you will need good sustain too..

a fuzz dist can help you

  • mate whatis this effect ?? it sounds good

  • i used Guitar Rig 3 software

    it's a fuzz + a harmonix synthesizer simulation + a ring modulador (a kind of tremolo)
