  • Nice picking' man!

  • Nice!

  • Very nice. I'm slowly struggling to play Jitterbug Waltz on mando. You play beautifully. I have my work cut out.

I had a mando buddy who took mando lessons from Jethro while he lived in Evanston, IL. He influence was most apparent. And my mando friend play his chops in a Reggae band in Chi-town area, no less. You never know what mando players want to be when they grow up.

  • Very fleet! Like it a lot.

  • I appreciate your unique voicing of this classic standard - really makes me curious to see what Jethro did with it... Thanks for the tabs!

  • lets see you do it then

  • awesomeleddie, you post videos of yourself screaming. Why do you think that means anyone should take you seriously?

  • I love this one.

  • I really love that one Jim, Thanks!!

  • Awesome , oh and you look like the dad in king of the hill! :D

  • God you do way better than me!

  • Love it!! I heard Peter Oshtrushko do that tune and was amazed at how well a piano tune crossed over to mandolin. Do you give lessons????? lol

  • I give lessons -- if you're out in the south central Indiana area!

  • Nice job. Great stuff!

  • Awesome man, great tone too. I love it. Post more. I especially like .58-1.09 nice phrase.

  • You look uncanningly like Dwight Shrute

  • Love the way you play that tune .

Can you post the Tab for the mandolin !

  • did you do that by ear or did you get the sheet music

  • Learned it by listening to a tape of Jethro Burns that I have

  • Sounds like your well on your way to making it "yours" when I compare it to the fats waller version I have. Like the bend your getting on some of those notes- who says don't bend mando strings? I think the rrhythm you impart is great, too. Thanks.

  • Very nice rendition of this old time classic you're talented my dear as well as I enjoyed your west side sound and true respect to the music with the Forecasters ! Too bad that you're not playing any longer electric blues I really dig it

  • I don't know a lot about mandolins or music in general. But this is infinitely better than modern music!

  • neither do i but to say this is infinitely better than modern music is just your opinion i happen to love both does matter if its modern or old all that matters is its good

  • Hmm... just my opinion? Stating the obvious just a bit. Oh sorry, I forgot I wasn't supposed to voice my opinion!

  • If you are not a jazz mandolinist Jim, Bill Monroe is not the father of Bluegrass.
