  • I have done what you said but 2/3 my macs keeps saying:

The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and your network connection and try again.

  • You're a champ.

  • While this will work you are setting up WINDOWS sharing to transfer files between 2 linux based operating systems. This is obviously not the best way to do things, especially considering how buggy snow leopard is connecting to windows shares.

  • Thanks!!!

This is exactly what I was looking for.

  • Can you access this folder from your mac as anything other than a guest? I tried accessing w/ my ubuntu login and pw w/ no luck. Though I can access as a "guest", I can't view any of the files in the shared folder from my mac.

  • I was surprised this was so easy w/ no hassles. Thanks!

  • very good, how can i do same , from ubuntu to windows

  • Dude this was awesome.

I think you should make some tutorials on more OSX things. I called myself knowing a lot about it, but i'm 150% you got me beat by a long shot. :P

    Great Job!

  • Ha thanks, but I'm no expert.

I'm thinking I might start making some more tutorials, just because I'm always very grateful when I come across a video that solves one of my problems. I'd like to help people.

  • Your just a beast with Mac. That's why it's so easy
