  • Did you know that Bruce Lee sometimes wrote/drew with his left hand!

  • If Bruce lee didn't die then I would spend my allowance on lessons with him

  • @bansheman I know this is an old post but you are an idiot. Dan Inosanto is a legend. How is it I know who Dan Inosanto is but I have never heard of you? I am sorry to speak so strongly but you comment is rubbish.

  • @bansheman your so incredibly ignorant theirs two parts of his system that you learn the jun fan that was bruce lee's style and then jkd philosophy and what bridges has he burned you need to know what your talking about before you comment on it

  • I respect Bruce Lee but no offence, since young, he was kind of a show off.

  • @SoulOne94 ...Yeah. He was human, buddy.

  • @ Ronbalicki: Did Yip Man really tell Bruce that?

  • @bansheman now where do you get your lies from.. the birth of jeet kun do was from the limitations of wing chun.... duh...JKD isnt a philosophy its a recreation or what works with the applying of principles he has gathered from learning various other martial disciplines... before you speak you must educate yourself in other forms as well as history... dont spread inaccurate rumors they hurt the reality of who Bruce was and is...

  • wow this commercial is amazing kinda makes me feel sad because Bruce Lee is dead :( im adding this to my favorites and ty for the upload thats so cool.

  • I had the honor of attending a martial arts seminar with Guro Inosanto. What a magnificent teacher he is! He has the energy of a man 1/3 his age, and a staggering amount of knowledge and skill.

  • learn how not to fight..means to fight is the last option..martial arts is more defense anyone can attack not many can defend..well thats my personal option nothing more nothing less

  • @bansheman why should people even look at your comments, you can barley spell correctley. Anways, what the heck do you know about Guru Dan. What Bruce Lee did was create a new style of kung-fu and I might be taking a bit of a risk calling JKD a kung fu. Anyways, why are we talking about this subject, this video was meant for anti-bullying.

  • backing away from a fight that's not worth it takes alot.

  • DAN is pure filipino

  • Guro Inosanto and his daughter, Bruce's God child are great people and personal friends.

  • wtf did that have to do with starhub?

  • awesome vid, Mr. Inosanto is the definition of class and grace..

  • @bansheman The level of a master is not always in a history of whos-who, but in knowledge, skill, and character.

  • @bansheman Hey Moron. I met the Man himself almost a year ago. He's anything but. He is the real deal which is why he was Bruce's number one student and best friend. That doesnt take anything away from Jerry Poteet, Larry Hartswell or his other students. Dan Inosanto is a very humble human being which is a key element in having a great martial arts instructor.

  • This is a very cool commercial . I met Dan Inosanto last year. The man is amazingly humble and still a great teacher. He's a great role model. And this was a great message about bullying

  • @bansheman

Did you ever train with him? Tell that to Vunak..His and Bruces philosophy have changed my life from the age of 14 yrs old, I am know 50,, my life would not have been the same with those 2 men

  • The biggest thing taught to me through Bruce Lee is how not to trap yourself to society or any established way of thinking or doing. We are all human beings but ultimately have our unique gifts and talents. Why waste it when you can free yourself from society and live life the way you want to live it. Isn't that how life should be lived? It makes complete sense to me,

  • What people fail to don't understand is that Bruce Lee woke up the world to martial arts.

Dan was another vehicle to continue the mission. I my opinion, Bruce and Dan could handle themselves on the street, they never said they were the best fighters in the world. Trainers maybe.

    clear combat fighting system

  • At least Dan Inosanto was Lee's student

  • @bansheman Boooo!!!! Thumbs down, man.

  • Dan Inosanto was the only student of Bruce Lee to teach JKD by Bruce himself. Dan Inosanto is a great man to me for keeping Lee's legacy close to home!

  • You are still the Man Mr Inosanto. Thanks for the message and let it lived on. Real Martial Artist knows this before making a statement to their opponent.Thai 12:48AM 6/25/2011

  • Obviously this guy bansheman has no knowledge of the martial arts or what a great man, human being and martial arts master Dan Inosanto is. It's really pathetic this troll has nothing better to do than to show his total ignorance of what is a great master and a very simple message that leads to a much greater meaning. Learning how not to fight to learn how to fight is the greatest path to peace. Bansheman, please get a life and learn

  • Many know him by another name...GOD!!!

  • @bansheman Lol!...using that scale you're not even the dog crap on Frank's shoe.

Dan has issues? I think you're projecting like a mutherf*cker. BAN the she-man

  • bansheman, stand up mate your sat down i cant hear you in a 30 sec add do you think guro dan could explain jkd correctly? no so dont be a silly boy. there really s not a martial artist today that in some way has not felt the influence of guro dan and to argue other wise would show your bias, im gussing where your loyaltys lie in the whole jkd debate (tho i may be wrong) just remeber,

q-how many jkd(original) intructors does it take to change a light bulb? a- the same as it did in 1970 ;)

  • @bansheman How did you know what Bruce Lee wanted to do? You weren't there. You haven't met Bruce Lee. You haven't met Dan Inosanto. You don't know any of these men. You don't know the truth. You don't know anything at all.

  • Li Xiolong (Little Dragon)...He Deserve The Name...

  • @bansheman Sifu Bruce didn't want to learn Martial Arts. He wanted to Master it and he did! Dan White president of UFC titled Sifu Bruce Lee as the Father of MMA and he truly is. Because of Sifu Bruce MMA came about. Having no style as style. Simplicity = having no way as way. Use what is useful and disregard what is useless in a fight. And thats what MMA is about being able to adapt on standing bout and ground level bout.

  • @bansheman "having no limitations as limitations" BJJ who focuses on ground and submission that lacks striking techniques. TKD who focuses on kicks and lacks of ground/throws/punches/grapple techniques. And i can go on and on about these different STYLES. For you to say JKD is not a style then i suggest you reevaluate yourself my friend. Saying Guru Dan Inosanto is as much a Master as Frank Dux is like saying Humans is as much as a living things as Aliens. Everybody knows Frank Dux was a phony

  • @bansheman Funny u said this. Explain to us the other "styles" that are out there then ? Shotokan, Kenpo, TKD, Muay Thai, and etc. All these styles have their own philosophies all have different but similar techniques. The style of JKD is "the style of no style" "using no way as way" JKD is His honest expression of his human body, in the combative way as he have said many times. Compare that to any other styles in the Martial Art world who all have limitations. Thus come Sifu Bruce's saying

  • What the hell is banshe talking about! My God how idiots that have NO clue what they are talking about should just stay quiet! That way no one would know they were idiots!

  • @PMATSRS Seriously! What a punk. What does he know about Dan Inosanto or the bridges he's crossed in his lifetime? The only bridges he may have burned lead to the disarray of the "nucleus" groups and the "wednesday night" jkd club... a bunch of nobodies who came out of the woodwork after years of not training, seeing the Dan Inosanto was making JKD famous, and wanting to cash in on the fame- riding the shoulders of Bruce Lee's fame.

  • Very inspirational!!

  • @bansheman This guy is a complete joke. What a moron!!

  • Danny Innosanto and Mr. Lee, Pure Inspiration

  • @khamba3000 "how not to fight" which means how to avoid fight when u have the abilities to whoop some asses or serious injury someone.that's what martial arts is.I think u paid just a Lil too much on dish network, the money u spended on tv

Y don't u pay instructor Ron to teach u some real techni? It's worth than watch from tv!!just my 2 cents !!

  • "How not to fight", is avoid to fight when u have the abilities to whoop some asses or serious injury someone.that's what martial arts is,it's a self defense, never a thing to attack at first place.I think the guy paid too much dish network bill for those uFC and mma sport fights lol!!!

  • Learning martial arts first thing to do is how to avoid fight when it's about to fight!I remember this at age 9 back in china when my master gave us the first lesson of martial arts!!

  • The Art of fighting without fighting . Bruce Lee - Enter the Dragon. RIP

  • l already know how to not fight typical contradictory martial arts philosophies

  • This is so cool!!!

  • Good stuff. Thanks!

  • This is REALLY XLNT!! Tkx a lot for posting!

  • great commercial. Thank you for sharing*^o^*

  • come to seattle meet the others that trained with bruce Ive been here and training with them four lil over four years

  • Knowing violence can help you truly understand peace. Gandhi demonstrated this through civil disobedience.

  • The Legend! Bruce Lee! :)

  • Very nice

  • such a great commerical, everything about it.

  • khamba3000, you're an a-hole!!!

  • @gjeetkunedo Yo, on what grounds? from your perspective anyone who doesn't agree with y'all is an "a-hole"?

I'm not of a heard mentality like yourself.

  • "Anti-Bullying" is a good message & I agree but why use Bruce Lee name? Y'all have his permission? His been dead for thirty some years. B. Lee & anyone else learned the Martial Arts to protect & defend themselves from Bullies. "How not to fight" is honorable & desirable in our society but we must also be realistic & practical. That's why you yourself are a Martial Arts instructor and like myself.

  • @khamba3000 The commercial was made with the Bruce Lee estates approval. Dan Inosanto was his best friend and maybe he heard this message from Bruce Lee himself. Outside of you everyone who has viewed this commercial has loved it. I guess that the saying, "you can't please everyone" rings true. Best of luck to you and I hope you find a commercial you like in the future.

  • @khamba3000

Shut the hell up. Your not a "Martial Arts Instructor", lame.

  • @tarik314 aYO,, take some communication skills, might help.

  • Sure enough & why not? Are y'all the only ones who have all the answers & authority on Martial Arts? I don't think so. I know a little history about the "old man", Yip Man. Who him self had refused to teach outsiders or non-Chinese, so let's keep it real. As an American & a free spirit, we don't have to kow- tow to anyone. We can discover the truth for ourselves in Martial Arts & other wise.

  • @khamba3000 Wow, your trying to turn this great message into something else. What I like about the message is that they are trying to stop bullying and be responsible with the power you hold. Do you disagree with that message?

  • @khamba3000 Man why r you tryn to turn a positive into a negative. They obviously got the right permission from the right people, I think BL would be proud to promote a anti-bullyimg campaign in his name. I think the video was awesome. Guru Dan wouldn't have made the comercial if he didn't think it was for a good cause.

  • @wckfo Not positive to negative? no Sir! I find it very interesting How Martial Artists can say "how not to fight" when all they do is practice fighting and or self-defence,unless you are a monk or a priest. It's easy to say "how not to fight" if you know how to fight already. I'm just keeping real. It seems some people use Bruce Lee's name to promote themselves always.

  • @khamba3000 What he means by this is, we train to be ready and know what the out come from a real fighting can be. For this reason we try to find other alternatives. We still train to be armed so that if there were no choice we are prepared. I think you can appreciate that, can't you?

  • @Ronbalicki Yes Sir. But the statement "how not to fight" is misleading to the general public(non-martial artists) because we live in a violent society and one can't always walk away from a fight or a serious threat to one's life. Just keeping it real. If anything I would advocate the practice of martial arts to the general public to promote health, self defense.& confidence. Bullies don't respect peace but they will respect pain.

  • @khamba3000 What you saying is some 9 year old bully should be handled with violence, not with education? My father brought me to a gun range as a boy. He showed me how to fire a gun at a target. He taught me that aiming this at a person and firing it could bring on circumstances that may not be reversible. I always remembered that realization of how I needed to be responsible with this deadly weapon. I find educating a bully versus beating them might be a better outcome for all involved.

  • @Ronbalicki I'm not advocating violence Sir, strictly self defense. The right to protect oneself regardless of age. "pain is a good teacher" and a good lesson to be gained or "no pain, no gain?" Have you considered the psychological trauma a bullied person goes through? Education? We want "peace" all our lives yet we are at constant wars. What's up?

  • @khamba3000 I have no idea what your talking about?????? I think that this discussion is over.

  • @Ronbalicki Simply replying to your comment about a 9 yr old & use of violence, that's all. Don't preach non-violence,"how not to fight" when you practice fighting. Just keeing it honest & real. peace.

  • @khamba3000 Over and out.

  • @khamba3000

So when I'm driving on a road, and suddenly something happens in front of me, because another driver, that has been driving in front of me for a while, does something stupid. I manage to control my vehicle through good steering and just miss him by an inch., that makes be a good Driver right?

So when I'm in the same situation and I notice the driver in front of me acting careless. I can anticipate and prevent having to take any action at all, that makes me an even better Driver...

  • Interesting! "How not to fight"? Then How does one defend oneself in a real dangerious situation & does not have a choice but to defend oneself? Fighting is a very much part of Martial Arts & One fights to win at all cost to survive. The "old Man" built his reputation on fighting & it's efficiency, as a premier style in Hong Kong. Y'all keep it real.

  • @khamba3000 Did you actually right this? Are you kidding? Really...

  • What does it mean first you must learn how not to fight?

  • @toguro120 There are so many things it means. One thing it means is that you should not use your ability in a harmful or bulling manner. Think of countries that use their military might to bully smaller weaker countries.

  • @Ronbalicki or imperialism

  • @Ronbalicki

ok first of all lets get one thing straight,

AFTER Bruce LEARNED wing chun he was shipped to the U.S. BECAUSE he was fighting........

With maturity of age and understanding of how lethal you can become, comes a natural enlightenment (and of course his study in philosophy) of consequences.

  • @toguro120 Or it could mean how to not fight badly.

  • @toguro120 I think it was advice to Bruce (and to all) not to get into fights without thinking since he used to get into street fights/trouble a lot before his martial art training. This same advice can be found in Sun Tzu's writings and the sayings of the great swordsman Tsukahara Bokuden

Knowing how to defend oneself gives one the confidence to avoid fights. I believe most fights start because one has an inferiority complex so they fight to "prove" a point

  • @toguro120 Let me simplify it to you. It can mean different things to different people but this is what it means for me. Martial Arts is to protect not harm.

  • @toguro120 Another other reason is that fighting doesn't solve everything & you have to resolve issues in other ways.

  • @Darkson85 your right but knowing that you have the ability to protect yourself and the confidence to do so will enable a person to not fight...

  • @toguro120 your a dumbass for asking that!

  • @tyson55 and your a asshole and a retard for saying that.

  • @toguro120 Your a dumb fuck for asking that! For crying out loud they say the answer in the original Karate Kid!! are you serious?????????

  • @toguro120 learning how not to fight will enable you to approach an encounter with a better head and not be consumed with the fight but how to win whether it may be with words, actions or the way you carry yourself...

  • Wow!!!!

  • GOAT!!!!

  • Uh, wow.

  • very inspirational. bruce lee is my hero

  • Inspiration to us all

  • Well done! I am inspired!

  • I'm going to the Englewood CO seminar!

  • As an artist I think of Jeet Kune Do this way. Colours are made up of primary, secondary and treachery colours. Jun Fun Gung fu fighting system represents the primary colours the basis that we expand from, other styles of fighting are single colours.

  • "You can call it the art of fighting without fighting."

  • Great video!

Guro Inosanto is a legend himself. he's a source of knowledge and inspiration.

Meeting him during his last seminar in Spain was an unforgetable experience.

he's a real Great Master as a martial artist and as a human being.

    thank you again Guro.

  • great commerical ron ill have to show it to my young students in class

  • Thank you Sifu. Very timely and inspirational.

  • What JKD really is

Jeet Kune Do is the art of self-expression, a way of thinking, a philosophy, freedom, growth, a creative process, a tool, a path to total individuality. JKD enables you to go beyond style.

  • Guro Inosanto is the best. He is a constant inspiration to me.

  • nice!!

  • I love hearing Guro speak; you can't help but listen and soak everything he says in like a sponge ;)

  • Thank you Diana... Bruce was surely a martial arts treasure.

Guro Dan is also a treasure with his outlook in the arts.

He is our guiding light for the progression of each individual.

Hope to be in Los Angeles next yearly again.. See you soon.. Stay safe, Stay healthy

    Mike x
