Thanks Dale I'm really liking your approach to showing how to play songs on your site. Wish you lived closer to my home for lessons in person. Keep up the good work my friend. By the way I'm working hard on the song Losing my Religion on the mandolin I got for Christmas. Fingers aren't bleeding too badly yet. lol. Best of the New Year to you and yours.
sure appreciate you giving your time to check out the videos and your kind words are greatly appreciated! If you lived close we'd be rockin it out sir!!! Have a great New Years and keep pickin....your friend, dale.
DUDE YOU ARE A GREAT GUITARIST AND A VERY GOOD TEACHER . I LOVE THE WAY YOU TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERY NOTE, AND THE DIFFERENT WAYS TO PLAY A SONG. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Dude! I've been playing my whole life, (I'm 41), and never bothered to learn this. Thought I would take the lazy way out for once. Great lesson! Beginners: Listen to this guy! Your tone translates well, sounds great.
Thanks Dale, had prostate cancer, removed prostate Mar. 23rd, now cancer free, :) ..just retired last week so lots of time now to practice your lessons..big classic rock fan, Bad Co. Foreigner, Who, Stones, etc. I love how you explain in detail (fret, fingering, which string etc.) as lots of guys posting lessons forget that it is hard to see exactly where the fingers are landing in the videos. Do you do "Deal with the Preacher" (Bad Co.)? Your lessons really appreciated.:) Brian
not familiar w/that guitar. are those pickups similar to p90s or minihumbuckers or the like?? great tone. what amp are you running through. sounds fantastic. super fat!!! nice job on the tutorial as well. thanks for your time!!!
the guitar is a Collings 360 and you are right they are mini-humbuckers by Jason Lollar. I'm using a Headstrong Lil King amp, basically a Princeton clone. Thanks for checking this out and i greatly appreciate the kind post.....all the best with your music!
hey man, this was really helpful. i looked up some tabs and they had the intro ALL wrong. i still can't arpeggiate in the slightest and i've almost been playing for 4 years lol. so that last little bit of the intro riff is like impossible for me to play... but all in all thanks a lot.
i like the tutorial but in the beginning you keep sayig the 7th fret when ur really in the ninth fret. that really confused me but other than that i like it
very sorry about that...i hate mistakes in my videos!!! I'll try and catch it and put an annotation it - appreciate the heads up - all the best with your music!
it does tell a grat story Dale, it tellls the true outcome of what happens when a rockstar lives a lfe of alcohol and drugs, and you absolutely nail every note, great
any chance of you getting a lesson of Wish You Were Here?
I just got a New Collings 360. It's unique in the aspect that it has a Gloss Black Finish on the Flame Cap and a Dog Hair Finish on the remainder of the guitar. Man, aren't these Collings the Best of Perfection! The Minnies are sweet. I've been reviewing your work on You Yube and finding some of it useful, Thanks. I also plan on sharing some major You Tube Work as well as soon as I get a good You Tube Cam Corder. Doc
thanks for checking out the videos and congrats on the new guitar. I've been a major Collings fan for quite a long time now - i'm glad you are discovering what many have known for a long time - Collings guitars are something very special. Enjoy your 360 - i'm loving mine!
Great job !!! love the song and your tutorial thanks!!!

You have a way of making the difficult look easy. I also like the way you show multiple ways to play the same progression with multiple voicings.
