I didn't do it for charity because it was a spur of the moment thing-- it's MY hair, I grew it, and I didn't want it anymore-- it wouldn't have been much benefit to anyone, unless I collected donations for St. Baldrick's or something to shave my head... I didn't really think it was a big deal. To be honest, if I'd known the reaction it would get, I'd have sold the clip to a fetish site and used the money to pay some bills. :)

I tried to donate mine but I dyed it brown and the stylist said they couldn't accept it because the dye will react with all the chemical treatments they perform on donated hair and ruin it...
