If this was the direction of their next record, I could imagine an even more tuneful, less shimmery version of their OKC stuff.

i think it would be a EP or things like COM LAG. Thom loves the piano much when he was doing Like Spinning Plates, Fog. But most of the time, things appeared in the album ended up to be electrically multiplied and enlarged and mixed....Videotape is a rare exception.
Oh please bear in mind, all Radiohead songs are always that tuneful!

first half like videotape, second half like bodysnatchers and bangers and mash combined...
that's be what i want to see the song become. there is an excess of piano ballads with in rainbows disc 2, not that i'm complaining of in rainbows disc 2.
