@derekdean100 Anyway the main thing i'm trying to tell you is that the terrier is strong for it's breed, Look it up, instead of telling me bullshit about it being the weakest of the breeds. The dog in the video can clearly handle it's own bodyweight from it's jaw and they are both having fun. Yes the risk is there that the dog could hurt itself on concrete but no need to have a go at the lad or me for that matter :S because of the risks.
@derekdean100 And stop typing in Caps lock because you are making yourself look like a tit -_-' ... "UR SAYEN UD STAND THERE JUST LAUGHTEN NOT WORRIED AT ALL LIKE U JUST TEXT IN UR MESSAGE" And i didn't say in my comment that i would stand there and laugh, i'm saying my terrier walked away unharmed. Of course i got a bit worried, checked him over and he seemed fine so i let him carry on his venturing but why would i write you a story about this, the main thing is that he walked away unharmed.
@derekdean100 .... Hmmm i take it "cunt" is your favourite swear word :') And if YOU looked it up, you'd see (and it's a shame i have to repeat myself) The Small terrier breeds have an strong lower & top jaw as well as neck. This terrier in the video can clearly handle it's own bodyweight from it's jaws. Fucking hell man your stupidity is boring me. The dog is dangling a 1ft - 2ft off the ground not from his head height. If he was swinging the dog over his head THE DOG WOULD BE OVER HIS HEAD!
@derekdean100 Oh yeah and forgot to mention. The small working terriers, for example the parson & jacks, are bred for their equally strong lower & top jaw muscles and their powerful neck. And as fr the worry of the dog falling on concrete, i've seen them get kicked by horses, trampled by sheep and still coming away with nothing but a graze or a sprain. They are tough, powerful and vicious, perfect farm dog. Woops looks like the bubblewrap is falling off your dog, don't want it getting hurt now.
@derekdean100 ... And another thing... He wasn't swinging the dog around his head :') the dog was like 30cm off the ground, my terrier has fell off higher ground then that and walked away unharmed. Jeez.
@derekdean100 Haha look at you, keyboard warrior complete with your own CAPS LOCK!!!!!!! :') pffft you'd be pretty amazed at how strong a terriers jaw is. And in case you didn't know a Pitbull is a terrier breed! Yeah a Parson or Jack don't have a jaw as strong as the bigger terrier breed but it's still pretty powerful! Powerful enough to deal with the "fun" the both of them are clearly having so let them be. Oh dear best avoid concrete when playing with my dog, it's too dangerous. Hahahahaha.
That's how a terrier should be exercised really. They have strong jaw muscles and also need a lot of time jumping, running and bonding with the owner... You could easily see how devoted this dog was to doing each activity as well as spending quality time with it's owner... how could you say that video is cruel? if the dog didn't enjoy pulling on the rope then it would let go, simple as! I bet that the dog would be awesome at rat hunting :)
We have a dog at home and we just can't figure out if it's a parson or a jack. When she's overweight she looks like a jack but when she is normal she looks like a parson
We have a Parson ourselves. It's a very energetic non-agressive dog. Pull games it loves. Maybe not to worry: watch the dogs tail, as long as it 's up the dog has a great time. It likes the guy playing with it I think.
haha i'm trying to figure out if my dog is a Jack (which is what he was sold as) or a parson. he's SOOO tall. I just dont know. He's a nut though, thats for sure! and i love him either way!
@hevaC36 whats wrong with the way hes treating that dog? it doesnt look mistreated at all..quite the contrary; you've gotta spend alot of quality time with your dog to achieve some of those stunts.
secondly it's obvious that you don't understand much about how the breed evolved and the characteristics bred into it. my parson enjoys a 'to the death' style game of tug of war..and loves the odd exhilarating airborne moment.only thing im concerned about is the neck and teeth but if healthy. no prob
Nul ! Sa te plairait d'être à la place de ton chien ? Respecte le un peu c'est de la maltraitance la ... pas de quoi être fier de montrer sa en vidéo !
Not that the dog is not having fun... but you can damage its neck and foremost its teeth by doing that. My neighbour did the same trick many times with its jack russel, and one day, three teeth broke loose. So, better for the dog to take a bigger rope and just hold it; don't shake the dog around while hanging on to it or pul it firmly. Great dog: go a bit easy on him/her. This type of dog will never stop by itself.
damn the dog is having fun. as a matter of fact, he is loving it!
yes you can break you dog's neck if you swing it around your head etc but only if the dog has no neck/jaw strength. if you play with your dog and do this on his first time you will kill him but this dog seems to have some training and seems very healthy and strong.

@MsTommyknocker Look at the race-standards. The parson is higher on the legs and slimmer at the behind.
maneschijn3 1 year ago
My husband did that with our JRT and she has a neck injury. Keep it up and yours will too!!!!!!!!

this is so dumb, plus it can create very bad behavior in a dog, especially in a dog who's breed is a hunting breed.

Nice drive and intensity on that rope swinging arm workout of a dogger! Reminds us of Busy Bee Dog "Bonkers"!
