I just bought 3 fake mac lipsticks on ebay. She had them listed as 100% authentic mac. She said she'd give me a refund... what can we do about these fake mac sellers?

to be honest, as long as its good quality, and even if your doing a tutorial, no ones really going to look at, the small details like, "take this red shadow" then quickly flash the eyeshadow, no ones really going to pause it.

There's still ALOT of fakes on Ebay. I try to report the sellers whenever I see em, but there is just too many... I see lots of people buying and bidding on these so called '' Authentic'' MAC products. THEY ARE NOT REAL MAC!!! ....

I'm very worried, I bid on 3 of the "MAC" cream eyeshadow palettes (wholesale) and instantly won it, and 2 hours later I was doing some search on those and found out their fakes!! The seller is waiting for me to pay the items but I sent him an email telling I didn't want to buy them because it was suppose to be authentic MAC and it isn't. What should I do? :-(

Actually buying from America doesn't even solve the problem anymore. Search "mac palette" on ebay and you'll find loads of fakes sold by buyers in the States. I never realized what they were before watching debstan's videos on fake palettes.

this happened to me and i reported them to paypal. Paypal then asked me for a letter from an unbiased third party saying it was fake. The letter had to be in letter head and written by someone who was a dealer or had an expertise in this area. I had no idea how to get this so I just made a letter up myself and i made a letter head and gave an email address and phone number. I even sent pictures of the fake mac and ebay still denied my claim. paypal sux

I wish i had watched this video a couple of months ago, cause i bought a lot of eyeshadows from ebay and have just discovered they are 100% FAKE. The seller was removed as soon as i payed and ebay was no help when i queried this. Part of me wants to throw them out, in case they're not safe. But part of me wants to use them as the colours are gorgeous and they are lovely to use. So will now only buy from Mac website/shop. I really advise people to do the same

Hello to everyone that decides to use the fake Mac anyway you should know that the countries where they make those fakes (China, Tawain, etc.) use non-cosmetic grade ingredients that may contain things like lead and other toxins. Those countries don't have to abide by the same FDA standards as the US. Sad and dangerous but true. I would throw that crap away.

I recently bought a face e/s too, thank God its cheap and I only bought two so I don't feel too sad. When I tried the e/s, after 1-3 hours it creased, that's how I know its freakin fake. I still don't know how to tell the difference if you buy it online, from now on I'm just gonna buy it from original store/trusted seller.
