I wonder how all of those items got onto the Pikmin Planet. There are things like light bulbs, dumbbells, and even brand name batteries. You think maybe that the planet may be some form of Earth? Or that it may be Earth but Olimar, Louie, and the President see the animals in a grotesque way? For example: Bulblax looks like a mutated toad. Other ones like jellyfloats and blowhogs could be hallucinations or something. Not saying that they aren't there but they see other animals as those.

Duracell batteries!!!! UTTER PROOF that planet Pikmin is like a post-World-War-III Earth!! Did anyone else notice that in Pikmin 1, the "Distant Spring" was a somewhat deformed shoe footprint? You can tell from the intricate designs like the circles, the sqaures, how straight everything is, etc.
