  • With the GoPro HD can you wear it on your head, like without a helmet?

  • "Just going to start from the outside...and go in...---thats what she said! uhhhhhhhhohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yayuh

  • whats better for mountain biking goproHD or POV1.5HD

  • After seeing the year of the video, I would have to say, 2011, it's important for all to know, the Looxcie is out. And it is about $160 from start, depending on what you get and where, it is a lot more compact, it has applications to record directly to your iPod, or w/e you have. It is a little hard to keep on your ear (Kind of like a large Bluetooth, it also has that build in, btw) The looxie is great once you get used to it, I highly recommended it!

  • i have the older version...

what do u think about this new model?

  • "...get this thing wet." Eh, got me hard. JK lol.

  • it felt like you were breathing on my neck

  • nice vid nice camera but you gotta admit it looks like a controller lol

  • only thing I dont like about this is the fact that you need batteries I though we were to an age of everything being rechargeable....

  • they do a HD version of this now!

  • Reminds me of the vagina cams....Can you zoom in with it?

  • The hard drive it comes with is only 4 gig, can you upgrade it?

  • Does it come with a mic and cord?

  • How can you say the gopro is better? It doesn't boast even half the features the pov comes with.

  • Why has nobody mentioned that you can plug a MIC directly into this unit. Isn't that a feature we all want. I like GO PRO but you can't plug a MIC into it. Which means more time editing. B&H video is selling this unit cheaper than anybody until 12/31 2010.

  • with the go pro u cant see wot yr recording:-(

  • so i really like this because of being able to see while recording and looks easier to use than the gopro hd (since i no very little about cameras) but is it worth it? like how great is the go pro for a beginner? jw please answer

  • Hi where is the mic situated?

  • You are shaking as fuck!

  • Would you prefer this, the Contour GPS, or Contour HD 1080p ?

  • Haven't really read any of the comments but would you mind elaborating why you suggest the gopro hd instead? Is it because of the cost, or is the video it makes simply superior? I'm thinking of getting one or the other rather soon, I was leaning towards the vio just because of the small design.

  • @shaggytwodope666 much better quality, easier to mount(no cord to deal with), Shoot 60 fps (smooth slow mo's). And, it's cheaper.

    GoPro's are a great cameras.

  • @FeaturedProduct Ya thats what I figured, it's to bad because I really like the the sleak design of the vio and the way I could mount it on my goggles. Also the fact that you don't have to have someone help you turn it on everytime as well.

I wonder if vio is ever gonna catch up and offer HD anytime soon.

  • @FeaturedProduct VIO has just released it's HD version, the only helmetcam to shoot in actual 1080p video. VIO POV.HD

  • @FeaturedProduct I was looking into the Gopro Camera's but was turned off by their lack of a viewing screen and not having a remote not to mention they look so bulky mounted on a helmet.

  • @MrSpeedfightRichy I would suggest the GoPro HD instead. Click link in this videos description for details.

  • @FeaturedProduct

What i prefer about this product than the go pro is the LCD screen and size of the item. I would use it for vlogging on a motorbike and this just seems so much better.

  • wow 600 the main website sells for 500

  • i be afraid of putting it on a skateboard cos if u fell i dont think it would do the camera much good but thats actually a really cool angle/place where u put it.

  • Nice if you have $629.95 to spend!

  • I like that you pointed out the price. Also was it raining that day? I thought he said he was going to get it wet. Just asking don't mean to upset anyone or thing.

  • @DETNAITE Yes they are waterproof.

  • Great product, great company, well supported and always improved. The thing is rugged and was built to military specifications. I have used this thing in some situations that would kill other cameras. Its tough!!! I have most of the other cameras out there and this is my go to camera most of the time. In the end, you get what you pay for with those other cameras. I am a fan of the VIO without reservation!! Check out some of my vid's and you will see beyond skiing and biking!!

  • I agree that it was a great product. Unfortunatly they are ignoring the market.

I sent an email to them to see if they were making a HD version as IMO that would be the best camera on the market. The reply was a flat NO. Afraid I had to go the GoproHD after that.

  • 400-600$ OMG

  • Blah. Wires are no good for me.

  • If you wanted this "form factor", but no wires there is an AT-1, wireless camera with a separate recorder.

Downside is you need a battery for the camera and DVR unit. (about 2hrs apparently)

Cheaper than some of the "wired" setups too.

It's also 1/5th of the cost of the POV1.5, just no HD recording,

  • Also the separate DVR unit. Blah. Just something else I need to carry around. Its a good camera though, i have friends that have it, and they say it works great. Just not something for me though.

  • How long can you continuously record with a set of fully charged batteries with this unit? Thinking about buying one for military application.

  • Mmmm, can you mount this to a cab ?

  • how much?

  • Awesome vid! Very helpful. Im ordering one now. Thanks!!!

  • is this better than the gopro?

  • ya its better

  • Im going to get this when i start motorcycling

  • Whoa. This records in SD only? Fail.

  • zoom907: This is the clearest recording unti on the market. the countour HD is less quality video, its just upscaled from 640x480. so even shittter quality.

  • @spadastunter the go pro hd is great quality

  • @spadastunter Well, think of this, 1 year after your comment was made, the Looxcie is out, and it is pretty amazing, it is $160 and it is HD, it's kind of like a large Bluetooth and it has Bluetooth build into it. It is wireless, and can record directly to iPod or w/e you can get apps on. The only bad thing about the Looxcie is that it is a little confusing to keep from falling off your ear at first just takes a little getting used to. Honestly, the Looxcie outshines this thing in a lot of ways.

  • Hi ... what do you think is better? POV 1.5 or Tachyon XC for Cycling?

  • Tachyon ur not going to have Tons of wind being much of a factor and if you like the 200 price range but if u go for the pov i believe its like 600 or more but dont quote me on that

  • To be clear though, the camera itself is not in HD.

  • Isn't recording in 720x480 at 30fps considered HD?

  • Youtube calls it HQ.

The POV records in Standard Def (SD).

    Though a VERY clear SD.

High-definition video most commonly involves display resolutions of 1280×720 pixels (720p) or 1920×1080 pixels (1080i/1080p).

  • @robm425 No, SD is 720x480 and 720x486. HD is anything above that.

  • that was really helpful, there are never enough of these clips where they show u how to put it together and wether you can expect to buy more stuff

    cheers for the video

  • It is my understanding that standard high definition is 720, bluray quality definition is 1080. Like your high definition channels with cable are 720. I could be wrong but that is what I have been trained to tell customers buying high def TVs.
