I know that I may recieve much criticisms from people for making the previous statement. I may be misinterpreting the entire point of the story, but I believe that divine intervention does not mean the complete eradication of all of the people's problems by divine might. In most, if not all, of the mythologies that I have read, people solve their own problems, even the supernatural ones, while the gods give them a helping hand if they so choose.

I get what you mean, but lets face it. Okami wouldn't be as good if all you did was run around watching people solve their problems all by them self. I get where your coming from though.

I know that the "white wolf" is only an incarnation of the actual sun goddess, but a god is a god in whichever form he or she takes. I know that the game's story tells of a goddess who saves the world from evil, but why must she perform everything alone? The gods should only assist the mortals with their problems and not do everything for them. I mean why, for example, must she go to the shrine alone? Why does the other five canine warriors not follow and fulfill their duties as the protectors?
