I love this video, Great boat, well rounded, can do it all, looks like a fun boat to spend the week at mead or powell, and looks like a good big water boat, when the wind picks up. I would like to see more boat builders to jump on this idea, the outdrive I like most, It's about time, good rough water performance, I own a 24' Eliminator Daytona, Outdrive of course, great Idea for a family ski boat..KEEP IT UP CHAPARRAL.

Hi, I'm a semi-pro wakeboarder and Chaparral is letting me use a boat for the year so I'll say absolutely anything even though I'm lusting after a new Mastercraft or SAN. In fact I'm secretly trying to find a 8.1 Liter Wakeboard boat now, but I'm not sure I can deal with steering one since that old technology.

@wakeboarder124 the only rider there who is well known, is Bob Soven (phil soven's little brother) who, obviously recently made the switch to a super air nautique, a great inboard towboat. these boats are garbage, they need to trash on inboards just to try and state their case. i/o's are no good for watersports other than tubing and maybe skiing.

u guys are retarded, there is no worry with an direct drive for going in shallow water, the prop and the rudder only are about a foot deep, and I/Os suck anyways. and i dont think youre gunna get teh seat dirty, you might get it wet, but boat appolstry is like waterproof anyways

@mophead319 dude, I/Os are great, you dont have to worry about losing ur prop from a dune, and chances are I/Os offer better performance due to the drive chain, where as Inboard have a v-drive chain which can cut torque, and HP to the prop in half

when on plane, a v drive has the same amount under the water as a i/o with its trim down, which is where you put the trim to wakeboard anyways. if your going to lose your prop on a i/o, you could lose your entire lower end. the max you can lose on the v drive is the prop and shaft, a easy replacment. a v-drive doesnt get even close to losing half, you pulled that stat out of your ass lol

I have a calabria which is not top of the line by any means but its still better than this crap for surfin and boardin..... lol. but i got er weighted with 2600lbs of water so its ok ;)

This is a great boat for the recreational rider, as for wakesurfing, it is advertising such as this, that make sit bad for wakesurfing. No, you dont have to worry about inhaling fumes, you just have to worry about the propellers making chum out of you. Sovin must have gotten some real nice money for this, to hold a straight face through that is pretty funny.

Marketing is everything with a product like this. Unfortunatly Chaparral has created a cheesy couple of videos which will damage there reputation in core riders eyes. Someone who is going to drop this kind of money on a boat is not just looking for all the "best" features but wants a boat that is going to portray an image along with throw the best wake possible.

You will never see Mastercraft creating shitty vids like this because it would destroy there image.

You must believe the scare tactic propaganda you hear from the inboard boat builders over the years. Chaparral has done a great job in creating a recreational watersports boat with better performance.The inboards for years have been saying stern drives will chop you up if you get near them...just go to any lake or boat show and you see the peg leg guys walking around....those are the guys that surfed the mighty stern drive!. They said the jet airplane was a bad idea too
