  • pat roberson should do another movie with byron long. [wanker]

  • Anyone know if the ACLJ is involved in this???

  • Homeschooled children are much more likely to be friends with Jesus Christ, then those public school brats!

  • I'm an atheist and hate Christianity but Pat roberson and jerry falwell still have alot of good morales and reasoning.

  • Kids need to go to school to be normal-really? I think people are afraid of anyone who thinks different or walks their own path. It's happened all through history and it will continue through time. I hope California parents stay strong and continue to fight for what is their right. Until the teacher's union actually does something to get teachers out who don't do their job, and until the corrupt powers that be stop interfering in education, parents will continue to fight and so they should!

  • Or may indoctrinate their kids with antigay BS instead of letting their kid grow up WITHOUT politics and at least let them make up their own mind when they come of age and can critically think about that stuff. If homeschooling is going to be a true alternative to public schools, parents have to teach their kids CRITICAL THINKING. They cannot use it to alternatively teach their kids doctrines like Christianity, the Bible, "evolution is a myth" or other similar crap.

  • @whoo689 Any conservative Christian school will do exactly the same thing.

  • Banning homeschooling is NOT liberal in any way (modern or old definition). If you believe in freedom, you will allow at least limited homeschooling. My fear is just the fact that so many homeschoolers happen to be Christian conservatives who think evolution is a "lie" and will indoctrinate their kids with unproven or unprovable nonsense like "intelligent design" and the idea that the Earth is only 6,000 years old. And/or that dinosaurs roamed the Earth with man.

  • Listen "you" have no right to tell one person what they are going to do. I just not right. You can't tell me you gotta go to school and learn what we want you to. just like you can drink alcohol and smoke cigs, but you can't smoke weed, we'll throw you in jail. "You" have no right over me.

  • Just put your damn kids on the school bus and let then turn out normal. Stop forcing your ancient conservative Christian views on your kid. Let them learn about evolution in 10th grade and learn about the opposite sex's genitals in 9th. Half the time in a classroom a teacher spends gaining control? Is that a joke? If any teacher actually takes half a class to gain control, they deserve to be fired. 'Protecting' your kids from highschool/middle is just setting them up to fail in the real world.

  • in my country it is forbidden.its childabuse.thats what i believe.taking kids away from school.they become more stupid cause the parents know nothing they have no papers.they are right to kick some as of these stupid people that wanna brainwash their kids cause most of them are christians ofcourse.and pat robertson u have been homeschooled cause u r stupid.

  • Brainwashing does not have quite the desired effect when you let in outside stimulus like other points of view. It takes longer and may not take at all, if children are allowed to think on there own. Breaking the human spirit is much easier at an early age and leaves the student with little chance of recovery. Home schooled children have a wonderful future filled with ridicule and deep seeded hatred towards other points of view and lifestyles. Most are permanently damaged and socially ignorant.

  • The state wants cps to come and take your kids so they can be sold into sexual slavery.

  • I do Homeschool .I love it .

  • state standards pat???? who is the state? government is the problem ! My child my rights! f the state !

  • @panaceamedia- I don't consider imparting values that I believe in "manipulating" MY child, not the state's child. Yes, I will always stand up for Jesus, even to be ridiculed by hateful people like you.

  • I home school my son, because I have come to see it as a responsibiltiy given to me by God. I do not think that I know all things, but I do have a bachelors degree and can learn whatever it is I need to learn to meet my son's needs. In addition, I have interactive DVD's to assist in teaching subjects that are difficult for me to teach. I teach my son at great personal sacrifice, but would have it no other way since soon enough he will be graduating high school. Classical Conversations-4 us!

  • And Joy Behar says homeschooled kids are messed up? She's just scared because she doesn't like it if children in American aren't being brainwashed by liberal ideas.

  • @travitheMuffinMan Exactly. It's an issue of control and money. My son and his mind are not for sale. He loves home schooling and cries when he thinks about going back into a situation that is unstable in the public school. Through Classical Conversations, he is getting the education that most only dream about.

  • @dlandrews1

You're definitely right on the money. Idk about other schools, but the (Wisconsin) Department of Public Instruction values each one of the students that go to my h.s. at $10,000, with there being an average of just about 1,700 kids. At the beginning of my freshman year, there were 386 kids (including me) in my graduating class. I will now be starting senior year on Wednesday, and the no. has gone down to 370 students (including a friend of mine that was killed). Just last year,...

  • (cont.)...the school already had $400k budget cuts, and had to lay off a number of teachers, with a couple more gone now after this last school year. Where they're all going to now, Idk. But I can tell you one thing, I'm definitely fed up with the bias crap schools try to pull, like forbidding "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Easter" from being said preventing Creationism from being taught, and the Day of Silence, while punishing kids who wore "God made Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve" shirts.

  • And the reasons why... because liberals control the public school system and they're ashamed if, particularly Conservative, Christians offend anybody. This last year I had a male Catholic teacher for US History, and will now have him for World Religions, and he even said in class this last December that he didn't care if anybody said, "Merry Christmas." Maybe because he didn't get brainwashed by all the liberal ideas. :) It's time for political correctness to be thrown in the garbage.

  • "Public Schools are trying to mold all of the kids into the New World Order"?

WOW!! Pat Robertson is SO out of touch with reality! He really gives a LOT of us Evangelical Christians a bad name! I am so sorry everyone watching this!

  • just have the judge killed.

  • You mean they want people that are certified in the subject in with they plan on teaching!?

    HOW DARE THEY!!!

Next thing you know they will want you to take driving class from someone that actually has a license, as opposed to someone that has never driven a car!!

Strange, I always thought that the blind leading the blind approach always works best, for indoctrinating there children with there own parents ignorance.

  • @4me2cclearly burn this kid up alive

  • @nVei06

Sorry, but it is clear you can not even type a coherent sentence to respond to.

After having a look at your channel, I can see why.

A new world order nut job, and 911 conspiracy theorist.

It is clear you must read like you type.

    Poorly.

Look out for the cemtrails, you extremist nut job.

    Ignorance must truly be bliss.

  • @4me2cclearly How did you come to the discision that all homeschooling parents are ignorant?

  • This is all propagandist bullshit. California never had homeschooling illegal. Some stupid politicians tried but failed. It was only a proposal. Get your facts straight. All a parent has to do is register by a certain date as a "private school," which is free. It's not hard.

I don't believe in schools one bit, but our cause is put in jeopardy every time one of you halfwits can't read properly. Know what proposal and a new law means . Anti-homeschoolers get ammunition from this stupidity. Think!

  • I thought the bill just went back to be reviewed. I will have to look it up later.

  • @arslan9000 stfu u ass rash

  • First time I agree with Pat Robertson on something. God bless him!

  • I still believe that most home schooling parents pull their kids out of public school because they teach evolution in science class and speak fairly about the middle eastern countries in social studies. Most of these parents have more mouth than intellegence and the ones I've met are shockingly deficient in basic subjects such as grammar and math. They only want to teach bible school; it's ridiculous.

  • @jerico641 you pulled this shit right out of your ass. it should cost you your life.

  • @nVei06

Well, your wish for my death aside, if we keep letting shitkicking redneck bozos pull their kids out of public school and enroll them in the divine church of homeschool where they'll learn that dinosaurs and people frollicked together in the garden of eden, it'll end up costing all of us a lot more in the future.

  • @jerico641 that's what satanic jews told you. you will be killed.

  • @nVei06

Okay...well, I'll tell you what, pal, why don't we just let this issue drop and both go our separate ways, alright? I'll head back to the satanic jews hangout and you can go..wherever it is you hang out. I'm a little tired of having my life threatened, so don't expect a response if you post to me again. Try to relax and enjoy life anyway, okay? Take care.

  • @jerico641 jerico, we're going to kill you. you don't get to hide. do you understand? It's too late for hiding and forgiving.

  • wat the jive, this is the world we live in?

Hes like telling u the truth and admitting thiers a shit syestem and its gay but then sezs just except it, u dont have a choice.

Id say that makes him an nwo agent hands down

  • If we go down it might as well be fighting.

  • NO homeschooling NO gay marrage wow california way to keep working your way backwards!!

  • Yeah, I used to kinda want to move to California but this is just sad.

  • Only obviously in your warped fucking mind. You must deffinatly be a product of our public schools. Having the right to educate your child the way you see fit should be every bit as much of a right as gays getting married. I'm for both. You dont live our life. Every day is a learning experience and I get to foster my kids creativity in a loving environment. It always amuses me that idiots like you would worry more about homeschoolers than the MANY problems we have in our public schools.

  • What the hell makes you think that? Homeschoolers get far better test scores than public and private schoolers, and can easily get a sufficient amount of socialization through homeschool groups, showing homeschooling is superior, definitely not inferior on 'backwards'.

If there is any logic behind your claim, please state it, because I fail to see any.

  • Oh, the last thing homeschoolers want is Pat as an ally... but, xians have really jumped on the homeschooling bandwagon, and you know how they are... they're going to act like they thought of it.

  • I am a product of Homeschooling and have no trouble getting a job or anything. I am also Microsoft Certified, I taught myself, took the test and passed with 93%. The key to homeschooling is to teach kids to learn, teach them how to research. They will never lose drive to learn. I am 27 years old, and still hit the books daily just for knowledge. To those who do homeschool KEEP IT UP! You are making a HUGE difference in that childs life and they will thank you later.

  • @zantar2580

93% is not enough. 100% is needed. You are a failure.

  • @TheSunmanho

I'm just suprised he didn't turn water into wine like most homeschoolers are able to. What with their being god and all.

  • @zantar2580 If you went to a public school you would have gotten 95%.

  • a test? meet a standard? who get's to decide? the government that has an intrest in keeping your kid in public shcool. No thanks Pat We don't need a standard. It's a right to bring up your kid as you see fit.

  • the test to be fair should be the same as the level schools are at, which is low.only a panel of homeschoolers should test homeschoolers, due to schools would teach formulars etc, therefore a test would only favour state schools, but homeschoolers teach other ways. The old richmond test should test state, and homeschool kids eual to thier age and ability.even so God says parents are responsible to educate thier children, not state.repent and follow Jesus who is the only way to heaven

  • As to the claim that parents need to be somehow 'qualified' to homeschool their own kids:

Several studies have found that schools seem to educate children of poorly educated parents worse than do the poorly educated parents themselves.

One study found that students taught at home by mothers who had never finished high school scored a full 55 percentile points higher than public school students from families with comparable education levels.

  • Homeschooling is not illegal in Ca. as the original ruling has long since been struck down and the kids in question are no longer wards of the family court.

I'm home-educated, not from the Southern USA, not christian (nor any other religion come to that!) and don't even know what 'creationism' is. Families have 101 different reasons for homeschooling their kids; being often, like us, encouraged to do so by their government, state, local education authority and local school board.

  • Homeschooled children are hands down smarter than public school children, I know I was one for the past three years due to illness, I am going to finish my senior year in public school though. My cousin go the award for the samrtest student in the most prestisious public school in the city, but I took her down 10x on standardized state testing. The reason is simple, THERE ARE NO DISTRACTIONS!!

  • Homeschooling is nothing more than a trojan horse to teach creatonism. Besides, how the hell can you claim to be a teacher without at the very least a damned BA? Robertson is talking out of his ass: if the fundies don't want to send their kids to public schools, they can set up their own schools, run by qualified personnel. That's what the Catholic immigrants had to do early in the 20th century, largely due to the domination of the public school system by Bible-thumpers like Robertson.

  • Why don't you dumb liberals read about all these "teachers" who couldn't pass a fourth-grade science test? Fake degrees, ringers taking their certification exams, teachers unions encouraging laziness, public school system that begs for money, but screws up kids.

  • Completely agree with you! Damn those teachers that can't pass a fourth-grade science test! Too bad most teach south of the Mason-Dixon line, espouse the pseudo-science of creationism and are the worst of the litter in othewise under-funded school systems - like Mississippi's. Yes, in ol'Miss the spending per pupil is the lowest in America - as is their general school ranking & overall graduation rate. But hey! Ol'Miss still has the stars & bars proudly flying over its ignorant little fiefdom!

  • Are u retarded? Its the people WITH THE BA's THAT ARE LETTING THE KIDS DOWN. Ill take a nice long piss on that BA. Just because u got some certificate saying u know what ur doing doesnt always mean u know what ur doing. Ive been threw the public school system and i can tell u first hand that home schooled kids are smarter, WAY smarter.

  • I think the whole problem of integrating gifted, regular and slower students is that the system holds everyone back at the speed of the slowest learner. It's the same in Canada.

  • You are right and some students just go to school to sell drugs or recruit kids to gangs. In a private school system this would not be tolerated and only the kids who actually want to learn would be allowed. I am still in high school so I know and you are right it is so hard to learn with so many dumb and kids that like to terrorise other kids. With me being me I fight and get in trouble and that hurts my grades.

  • homeschooled children are smart cause the public school system wants to dumb down your kids in order to be perfect non question asking fucking slaves for the government

  • If parents DO have "a constitutional right to homeschool their kids" that "right" would be explicitly enumerated in the US or California state constitutions. And if a judge did hold that such a "right" exists when not explicitly enumerated, then he'd be the same type of "activist judge" these Taliborn-again assholes always rant against.

BTW: Marion (his real name, not "Pat")Robertson took ONE bar exam in his life- and he flunked it. So much for his goddamned "legal expertese".

  • The time to fight is now! The light is shin-ing brightly on this case. Public support is behind us . The exposure will never be as great on a homeschooling case as it is now. What do you teach your children when you don't stand with us? This type of thinking will not go away but allow us all to be attacked. Please recant your support for any petition to depublish and support us in our fight for all of us. Phillip and Mary Long the homeschooling parents of In Re Rachel L

  • May God Bless you! Please lookup the new world order on youtube. If you have not already. Look up the background on your governor and your politicians. Prayer is needed. Pat Robertson has been seen using the diablo sign. Look that up too! We are in trouble.

  • @Asheth Yes, there is almost a viciousness against home schooling that I have encountered. One woman that I worked with stated that she would like to see home schooling made illegal, because my child doesn't deserve a better education than her child can get. How is that for a spiteful reason? This has nothing to do with qualifications and everything to do with the desire to control our childrens thoughts and the money they will receive to do this.

  • I'd like to question the credentials of many of these public school "educators."

  • I am apalled at some teachers in my school because the most arrogant stupid students in my classes get B's or A's!!! They are those loud mouth Jocks who like to mess with everybody. I hate them and I took a swing a one, but they are all pussies because they fought me in a group and they took me out. I got them one by one after school, but I got suspended and it really hurt my grades thats why we need a private school system that only alow kids who actualy want to learn.

  • Is he not one of them. Friend you don't get in office without lying..

  • People the constitution is gone and we the people gave it away, by believing every lying person in office. They know they can lie all they want and get by with it. The reason they don't want kids home schooled they might grow up and not think like them. I tell you what lets take our country back and lock up the law makers by the word of the constitution. Les lock them up for having state run schools. lol

  • Pat is a wolf in sheeps clothing ....always has been.....

  • one more nail in the coffin of our freedoms

  • WTF is next?....thats bullshit 4 lockin parents 4 wanting 2 homescholl their children

  • ...um AND the constitution doesn't say that the government has a right to force your kid into school. Schools have become a prison system for children in many areas of this country. YOU ARE OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT.

I hate agreeing with Pat though. But what a hypocrite!!! "The State wants to manipulate your child and mold your child" Um...are you talking about schools here or churches and religous communities?

  • I disagree with you on the second part

  • @Panaceamedia Yes, children will be taught something. They will be taught how to love or how to hate. They will be taught to believe in Jesus, Mohammed, or the state. Who has the right to decide what their children are taught? SHOULD BE the parents, especially since we are held responsible for the crimes that our children commit prior to age 18. You think? All people are looking for something to fill that void in their heart and young people need Jesus not the state.

  • @dlandrews1 There is a huge difference between teaching and manipulating. The "state" and religions manipulate, not teach. I like how you switched my word choice in order to facilitate a transition into your "point". Your point which appears to be simply "GO TEAM JESUS".

  • I'm a Christian and I don't like Pat Robertson...Not to mention it's NOT hypocritical OR wrong to teach a particular Worldview...Didn't they teach you secular humanistic marxist new age post modern modern liberal communist point of view to you ??? IT'S NOT A CRIME...Why?Because it (church, etc)are NOT OWNED OR SUPPORTED BY THE GOVERNMENT...And you talk about being hypocritical you hypocrite !!!...They taught YOU morality,so why do YOU accuse other people of doing the same???Have a nice day

  • If that made any sense to you at all, I want whatever drugs you're taking. I'd love to discuss this with you but I have no Earthly idea what your arguement or point is.

One point of yours I think is easily disputed. Many churches are supported and owned in a "quid pro quo" fashion by local governments and church leaders have many "ins" and lobbyists with the Federal Government.

  • I don't take drugs ( :

I'm simply making a direct point ( sorry if I sounded agitated ) ... and I don't live in the USA or Canada ... I live in Angola , West Africa

  • I don't agree with you
