it was some frankenstein amalgumation of the gu qin and guzheng. Its not a real instrument.
@Comsoya- both you and your son are immensely talented. I find it so incredibly heart warming that 2 generations can make such beautiful music together. Im glad to have you on the koto playing team ^_^

You are very welcome. I am a professional musician who performs improvised music on many different kinds of Asian long zither instruments, including koto, Chinese gu zheng and Vietnamese dan tranh. Next I would love to learn Korean kayagum and middle eastern kanun.

I do not think my son has something like a talent. But I can say he makes a lot of practice.
He loves to play the Koto as much as soccer.
His teacher is his mother ( my wife ). If he made a careless, sloppy practice, then he cannot get any sweets. haha.
I saw your video. You plays the stringed instrument too. Is it a traditional instrument?

私は趣味で尺八を、女房が本格的に箏をしてます。
尺八は簡単に音が出ないので息子が興味を持ちません。
一方、箏はピアノや太鼓と同じで、音そのものはすぐにでるので、
楽しいようです。
