i love John Rutter's music because as a composer i know it's nearly impossible to write good music for children to sing that sounds virtuosic and so his clever way of incorporating a tapestry of awesome around this simple melody makes it so amazing. (and as a kid singing in 5/4 was the highlight of my year :D)
En serio, la orquesta suena muy bien, el coro también, pero no se que se le cruzó a Rutter par aescribir esta música. Los solistas hacen grandes trabajos pero no ayuda la obra
They HAVE to pronounce it like "Glo-rrrr-ia", with a rolled R. Otherwise the pronounciation would be incorrect, so who ever told you this, is utterly wrong.
I have only heard it done acapella and that was just the gloria in excelsis deo part, and the way it was being sung sounded dreadfully out of tune but hearing it with the music... its so hauntingly beautiful
Those of who have sung this piece never got to hear it in it's entirety until the final rehearsals and in the performance. It's wonderful to sit back and hear this concert like an audience member and just enjoy it fully. Bravo!!
lol someone from the chorale is like commenting this video. RIP Dalton. Carnegie that year was amazing and it was all because of you. This is an amazing recording though. It reminds me of being on stage. I personally like the children's choir you have better than the one we had. Some of the kids in the "children's choir" were older than me in the adult choir ( i was 14!).
who's sorry it's me, i don't believe what you are saying.the place where we were is the same as the carnige, we have sung there hundreds of times ...Que mala es la envidia nano

Pfft im sorry but my school's chorale is WAY better and we are a high school chorale. And I know that because I personally talked face-to-face with John Rutter and he told me his opinion. Also we are preforming it in Carnige Hall this Sunday :)
@darkmagic861 Ur retarded. How the hell would YOU talk to the actual composer. You can't just say that yours is better because of your subjective reasons. Why don't you grow up.

Enjoy the music guys! No one wants to hear you rumble on about your subjective opinions. So, for the love of god, shut up and enjoy the video.

I remember loving the male part when we did this so much that I just wanted to drop my voice and sing it with them. Especially at the entry at 6:14
