  • Love your series and all,

But screw you for dissing the Wii pal!

  • don't know why but i want that blue truck from 7:33... and yeah, i'm 22 y.o. :)

  • ::fapfapfap::

  • This wasn't what I was hoping to watch, but I masturbated anyway.

  • I found this difficult to masturbate too.

  • @GaMeR12789 WTF?!

  • 1:48 the Large Hadron Collider?

  • When is this happen

  • yes i do think computer games are more fun than old fashion toys - Battlefield 3!

but anyway thanks for the upload pully87

    and i love MAY!

  • @123Comrade perhaps the quality of fun is different, I also play video games but once you finish it...and then that's it....medals, awards unlocked and things. but when you play good old toys especially the ones that you have to build first, once you finish it you'll get a special quality of fun and also pride...I do video games and also toys.

  • @Izkzmach lol

i was just joking, before i got my ps3 i used to play with lego, mechano and hotwheals all day.

  • 7:08 Look, is Elton John

  • It is amazing how toys can define who u are in life, my parents instead of Nintendo they bought me Lego and Mechano and now I am an Engineer and Architect. I remember building houses with my legos and the basic landmarks with my mechano set. Lucky also to have had a train set and lots of Airfix models but I never had a scalelextric set!

  • I think old mechano is the best

  • Dad's Army on the shirt:D

  • James May is more interesting to watch then 90% of anything on American TV

  • 3:02 HOWLY FUCKING SHIT IT IS GOD!!!!!

  • Rubbishy little crane ... lol

Poor little crane feels sad ...:'(

  • i hate steve jobbs. making the younger generation a bunch of pussies.

  • @neuclicz

i'm watching this on a mac[by steve jobs] fuck off!

  • @Vat19fan

    i rest my case! fag...

  • The best part about James May, that sets him apart from most other presenters of such programmes, he doesnt just present, he gets himself involved, entertainined and absorbed into all that he is doing. And the magic is, he makes us feel the same way too. Bravo James May, bravo to this wonderful programme you have made.

  • Is that a water cannon at 8:35?

  • James May is kind of a British version of the Jamie and Adam from the Mythbusters mixed together.

  • build an Optimus Prime out of it!

  • People are getting stupider and stupider. I went to Toys R Us the other day and saw that the toys are no where near as sophisticated as when I last went 10 years ago. Even video games nowadays are prompt by this and putting out games that are simpler and simpler. It's a sad trend really.

  • 06:33 lego technic has supplanted meccano right down to the car differential.

  • Here's an Interesting Tidbit of Information: the Engineers of the Chrysler Stow 'N Go Seating System, used the American Version of Mecchano (Known as the Erector Set) to Design the complex mechanism to Stow the Seat into the Floor of the Van.

  • @FlakeyJakey08

BBC Budget. A taxi from the airport was likely cheaper.

  • It's funny how Brits have the same toys as we do in America but they are given totally different names. This is just what we call an erector set i think.

  • @Guillermo8908 you have people called randy too

  • @FlakeyJakey08 He has a bad sense of direction though ;)

  • why did they build this shit? A fucking one way brigde they should have made a real size car and set a motor in

  • awesome best show ever keep uploading

  • @gmartinz01 He is English.

  • @gmartinz01 mate, he is BRITISH not american

  • I love how the small crane falls over when he says "prepare to be amazed"

  • I've been really into Top Gear lately so I really enjoy watching James May in this show too. Thank you for the upload.

  • He came to my school in liverpool i got his autograph and it got robbed off me

  • Oh look, the Cliffton suspension bridge at 9:02

  • I just loove james kitchen

  • This kit is from the Czech Republic, not Great Britain. Kit s name is MERKUR

  • @pavlissivylissi Merkur was based on Mechano.

  • One of my favorite BBC shows. James May makes the impossible, possible. Just don't look down!

  • Haha! OMG Charles Darwin.

  • he says computer games are better. im 11 and i think old fasion toys rock id love to have them

  • @me too i just got a meccano set for christmas love it!!!!!!!!!

  • This must be a steampunk's wet dream.

  • haha "i want to cross for this side to that side i'd have to go all the way down there" which is about 20m away

  • Id pay good money for a James May action figure

  • jame u got the most brilliant mind ever ur greater than jeremy but not cuter than hammond

  • Dads Army T Shirt :)

  • that you for doing this

  • "you just don't get that with your wii"

why couldn't you have used "Playstation" or "Nintendo", james..LOLLL

  • thanks for uploading

  • someone walking past window at 06:54

  • thx dude

  • thanks for the upload =)

  • Total Fitness???

  • LEGO TECHNIC gives you the same insight of technical stuff. Or Fischer Technic.

Nevertheless, they are or were, great construction toys. What do have kids now? Nintendo's and Playstations. At 56, I still enjoy building a walking dinosaur from Lego, building a rare Airfix model and teaching my daughters how to use a spanner,

  • @Brera011 I grew up with LEGO TECHNIC and loved it! My parents still keep all the cars, trucks and lorries that had all been, modified. Haha! Pneumatics, sprung shocks, gears, motors, self made winches... I was fortunate also to get a Meccano set, but sadly couldn't quite catch on with it, and the part of the world I came from didn't carry them.....loved playing with both sets though! And yes, I still tinker with mechanics, as my career today =)

  • So this show brought back memories of my good old days playing with real toys and not some computer games that I played as a teenager(computers caught on in india around 1995 - got popular by the turn of the century).

And sadly, i was one of those millions of idiots who fell into cheap computer games. I am gonna buy myself a mechanO AGAIN ! :)

  • 03:05 Santa :D

    ... No, wait - it's Charles Darwin... 0o What the.. ?

By the way, thank you SO much for oploading :D This is an awesome show!

  • go liverpool! meccano and the beatles? NICE

  • pause at 5 : 48

  • @starsgirlie22 funny

  • 6:50 he says wii like it's wee lol

    and great uploads dude

  • Thx alot for uploading this!

  • Gads! I'm so mad. I have one of the largest Erector sets you could get back int eh 1980s... and I love it. I learned basic engineering from it and to see the sheer scope of Maccano, gears, chains, drive shafts, pulleys, and all, I could have learned and done so much more before I was ten it just blows my mind.

  • 1:09 that girl looks like someone from bnp wives.

  • i thought charles darwin was dead l

  • thanks!

  • thanks for uploading

  • good job mate

  • Thanks for the upload!
