I saw it last week with a nephew. And where where suprised, in a positive way. In my opinion this isn't a bad film! All right, it's not fantastic but it sure isn't bad! I saw much worse than this. John Travolta and Barry Pepper did a good job with this, i think. The special FX are OK, the story is 'not realistic' but it wasn't boring for me, and the actors are playing very good. At least, that's what i think about it. A nice movie, not fantastic, but nice.

I saw it last night, and i actualy like this movie! Everyone is saying this is the worst film ever, but i not agree (just my opnion). I like this movie, and i think Barry Pepper is a good actor, so is John Travolta. All my friends who saw this film have the same opinion as i do. All right, it is not a masterpiece, sure it is not, but it is a nice movie to watch late on the evening, before sleeping time, relax in you sofa. At least, that's my opnion.

@TheGamerBawss I only saw 20 minutes before I couldn't even watch it ironically; the dialogue is terrible (think the hammiest star trek), every alien scene is shot at an angle, and lit in a sickly green or purple tint. The sets & costumes are second rate (again, think star trek on a bad day) the CGI effects are lousy, even for the time it was made, and they are way over used. The source material is a pulp sci fi novel that is only famous because of Scientology.

I actually liked this show. I don't get why people hated it. I mean all the critics who bash this movie are just nit picking on on the small stuff like camera angle, the nose breather, etc but ignored the good story line it has. I just looked at some photos online of Travolta in this movie. The huge platform boots outdo any 1970s glam-rocker, the enourmous cod-piece is so ridiculous I'm surprised they could film any scenes, the crew would have been laughing so hard, and that crazy 'lions mane' hairstyle, the nose-clips with wire attached. Man, what was Travolta thinking?

His career ended years before Pulp Ficton, it was then re-born with that movie, then it almost died again with this heap of shit. The reason this movie failed is because of 2 things: John Travolta & the screenwriter. The original screenwriter, J.D. Shapiro stuck with Travolta throughout the entire preproduction stage & before they started shooting they demanded Shapiro dumb-down his script so that Travolta could have more time for hammy acting. When Shapiro refused to half-ass his script, they fired him and found someone who would, Corey Mandell.
