  • nice job brother

  • Good work mate. I could feel the tension in the air when you were pinstriping.

  • @golddang Pinstriping is an art, all it takes is a positive attitude and the will to say I CAN DO IT...Alot of tension for sure for sure. Pete

  • @swrnc I agree with you %100. I've been practicing pinstriping myself for about 7 years now so I have a good appreciation of how difficult it can be. I love everything about it! From brush care through to the long history behind it AND the fact that it still has not been totally exploited by corporate greed. Its a special kind of cool ;)

  • @golddang You said the most HATED WORDS to a true blue collar working class man--CORPORATE GREED! Let the message get out. Pete

  • I was trying to practice pinstriping some graphics today. Man that shit is HARD to do well!!! Kudos to those that pinstripe all the time.

  • @muskysnax Practice makes PERFECT.. Don't give up, ya gotta start somewhere. Pete

  • COOL DOG!!

  • Pete - Love your videos, I have watched my brother do pinstripping for 30 yrs or so as a professoional. He tells me it just takes practice.

  • Hey Pete you need any help down there? Rod buisness kinda slow here in mid-west Nebraska. Being a fellow car builder body man painter and airbrush artist I have to say you do good work. just found you a few weeks ago i think Ive watched every vid. Keep it up man!!!

  • Yeah I hear ya... ROD business is slow everywhere... Thats mainly why I work alone... Thanks for the comments and watching the vids..... Pete

  • use a kafka brush, end your misery!

  • gotta love Pete! From pounding panels and cutting out frame pieces - to hand pin striping the details!!! Great vids Pete!

  • Awesome Pete!! Russell Miller

  • ps, if anyone else is gonna try pin stripes for the first time over a design they already laid down, clear coat the peice first or use a clear specifically designed to 'protect' each layer like HOK inter coat

that way if you screw it up you have a much better chance of saving the good stuff you already done

if you use regular clear remember to scuff it before continuing when it dries

  • @messylaura yeah thats the way it is.. Kinda like I did here with PPG DBC 500. Which is basically the same thing as Innercoat clear.... Thanks Pete

  • i wish we still had PPG deltron at work, FUCKING EURO REGS and we had to change to waterbourne, cheap ass boss went for debeer, does the beer shit in the woods, hell no he makes paint out of it,

on the plus side, and its a big PLUS

i took all the PPG deltron stock home, did a deal with the rep on the mixing scales too

    sweeeeeeeeeet

PPG is great, not tried the PPG waterbourne though

  • hey pete, you don't have to do pin stripping with a brush if you cant do that,

you can get little roller wheels of various thick or thinnesses,

or you can put the paint in a roller ball pen

same results, painted on pin stripes

  • @messylaura I used to have a pinwheel... Didn't like it. The demo guy makes it look much easier then it really is.. The bastard sold me on it.. Got home, tried it out and it SUCKED...... But just like anything else--Practice makes perfect.. Ya gotta have alot of patience with the wheel kit.

  • my friend pete. your a talented artist , beautiful work

  • Pete, Well I wish James Crawford the best and hope he gets back soon to what he does best. I watched a few videos 6 or 7 months ago on the pinstripe work he did for you on a Harley Davidson tank and fender. The man does beautiful work. You might not be as good as James but we know you can "Get Er Done" Pete. Take care.

  • haha..you wait till you see mine on the giutar..lol

    coffee,tabaco..make ya shake a bit...lol

  • Well, all good pinstripers had to start somewhere. 5*'s for the effort. That looks like something Minnie might be good at (if you could talk her into it... LOL)

  • Pete.Dont be hard on your self. The pinstriping looks good and some proffessionals do worse..

  • it look good ............................

  • that pinstriping and those flames look awesome Pete, Great work. and some great hints in this series also.

  • NICE JOB.

  • Don't look to bad!! 5***** for the effort...
