@rstscott "shut up you pussy" LOL x 10! Now you're going the right speed. It took you two weeks to respond! Anyway, lighten up I was havin fun. This vid is in my AOL favorites. I watch it all the time. Here in Vegas you get killed on a scoot for just trying to drive defensively. I lived up near CDA for a summer and this is the closest I'll be to a beautiful winding road.
Nice video, nice road, and great sounding Triumph. I live in Puyallup also and ride my 2007 XL883, my 2007 Yamaha XT225, and my 2007 Royal Enfield 500 Bullet. I'll have to try that road-it looks like fun.I work at an HD dealership, and we just took in a 2005 Speedmaster with only 2500 miles. I'll take it for a test ride. With my employee discount, I might be able to get for around $3000. JN
nice video. i got a 07 black on black bonneville american and i love it. i ride the hell out of the thing, and it always does the job. i also have a 09 harley 96 cubic inch dyna. it handles like a german tank but is fast as hell. the bonnies fast and a has great top end. it just rides so nice and man does it turn heads. good times!
No wonder I reconized the road. I've ridden there a lot. The TOR pipes in my SpeeMaster have rusted on the bottom. probally where condension can puddle. I've ordered a set of EPCO stainless to replace them . Thanks for the response.
Hello, I am an old Geek worked in digital electronics / computers untill I retires. I have a 07 SpeedMaster, I live in Puyallup and I know I've been on that road. But I cant place it. Feels like it is near Montesano mabey the one connectint to US 101. Can you gice me a clue? Thanks Great video, yu did a great job of eliminating wind noise.
@OldGeek72 Hwy 7 is called the "mountain highway." Simply follow pacific ave thru spanaway, bear left at the Roy Y, and stay on that road all the way to Elbe,
This isn't my video, but I do have an 07 Speedmaster black on black. I still ride it often I haven't had a change of heart, 2 yrs and going. My added plus is although I love Harley, when I ride with my buddies and their Harleys I get the double take most of the time no lie. Even the old timers dig it.
Like mitbec said, do the MSF course and LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY, then make your own decision.
If all of us on bikes listened to all of our non-biker friends, then NOBODY would get a motorbike!
Yes it's dangerous, but a) you can minimise the danger by doing the proper courses and actually listening to what they have to say, and b) Once you go for a ride down a road like this video once, the danger is far outweighed by the amazing feeling only two wheels can give you!
i hit a deer last sat on my 06 sportster, but tips i picked up during my MSF course saved my skin, along with good safety gear, helmet etc.Not trying to scare you,but accidents can happen
Awesome video! I sold my bike when I went to uni a couple of years ago and was planning on waiting another year to buy a new one, but this made me change my mind. With a little luck I'll get myself a Speedmaster in may :) Thanks for the inspiration! One question though, what is a comfortable cruising speed on a highway/freeway with your bike?
are the pipes in the video the stock pipes? How was the acceleration with the stock exhaust? I'm thinking of buying a left over 2007 with the 865cc engine.
bike looks and sounds great. id love to hit the west coast and do some riding, doubt i ever will but its nice to think about such things. any chance that you can give me some info on what kind of setup your using for the video ? camera , recorder , ect.
The Speedmaster & the America sound slightly more 'throaty' than the standard Bonneville as they have a slightly different firing angle though they all share the same engine. Personally I like it. My first big bike was a '79 Bonneville. I'd love one of the new ones & think the Speedmaster looks pretty cool! Nice vid by the way.
I have an early model(Pre 74) Trimph Bonnieville. T140v.750cc,twin
Duel carb's.Always looking for cheep factory parts!(Hard to find in Northern MI,)If you can help an old biker.Keep his Scoot Going!!Thank's Jesse.Go Fast or Ride in Style? I do Both:>)Cool Video! Where was this shot what state? On the way to Sturges SD.
It is a 2003 Triumph Speedmaster. 790cc (in the video), now has a 904cc Wiseco big-bore kit. I believe it's the best handling production "cruiser" available.
I've got an '07, it's my 4th bike, and in addition to all the other bikes I've ridden, the Speedmaster is the best handling motorcycle I've ever been on by a looooooong way. It's in it's own class in that respect.
After watching this I had to go out to the Garage and give my Speedmaster a big hug
