so if i had a windows 7 home premium and i have a windows 7 ultimate cd i can just put it in the pc and install and all my files aren't deleted? plus if i want to install the home premium version on my desktop i can use the cd key?
Im buying new gamer computer maybe in 1 week and i dont have OS in it, so i am going to buy windows 7, but when i open my computer 1st time, do i put the cd in and just follow directions step by step or is it hard to install OS on computer.
you should always do a fresh install of a new os, when you upgrade there are always regit errors, which cause your pc to not perform at 100%, but good video anyway

one is a 32 bit, and the other one is 64 bit, you can only use 1, you have to use the one that best suits your computer, if you not sure download windows 7 combustibility center, it will tell you Wat you need to know.

Really dumb question BUT if you can only use the product key once... If a few years later you wanted to format the HDD how would you do install W7 again ?

its saved on your Main memory. so you can format it. and it should work.
but if you gonna change main memory. it wont work
