  • Where can I get one of these clocks ?

  • @kathycohn1234 There is no way to accurately keep time. The theory states that time is not linear. Basically it does not have a set slope if you understand, it is not constant. It can be altered. And speed is the variable which will alter your results. Allowing you to travel at different speeds than we are all living at now, allowing us to travel into the future.

  • How would speed slow down heart beat and brain waves as well?

  • ok so if we go close to the speed of light and stay at that speed for a year, we'd be like 100 years ahead of time than people on earth right? Then what happens when, after you're 100 years ahead of time, you go visit earth? The hell??

  • emma watson @ 1:25 ?

  • Wouldn't we be crushed if we approached the speed of light?

  • traveling time by speed of light? probably you'll just vanished away and die.

  • To me, if I physically went back in time and killed my father, I would then have taken my physical being, my self, back in time, so I now exist purely in that time I traveled back to. That time I traveled back to is now the real existence. The future would not exist because I went back before its existence. So when my father died, I wouldn't disappear, because I've taken my fatherless physical being to that place in time. Now if I went back to the time before I went back in time, I wouldnt exist

  • @BURLYMACHINE The only way this could be any different is if other dimensions could be created by going back in time. Meaning that, if I went back in time, the future would still exist. So, if I came back to the time right before I went back in time for the first "time", then I would see myself, a dual existence if you will. Now with dimensions being created, if I went back, killed my dad, then came back to that time before I went back in time, my other self wouldnt exist. Just me, Im protected.

  • @BURLYMACHINE I'm protected because I've physically gone back in time with my living body, then came back to present time still existing, because I've taken my physical body through these situations... to me that would make me exist without my parents ever having sex or not. This makes me unnaturally exist because of me unnaturally fooling with time. Unnatural things would occur. Like my existence.

  • This is totally BS. Time warp field generators already exist. Governments are actively sending information and objects into the past and into the future and bringing them back. Old news.

  • @kathycohn1234 You are forgetting that the clock is not keeping accurate time RELATIVE to you. If you were moving in the clock's inertial frame you'll see it tick the same as before it started moving, and yet no observation is the correct one since it's all relative ...

  • jap chick = hot.

  • should make the traveling in the past happen

  • 4:19 But then the future was going to happen in the first place, hope it isnt true or we cant change anything

  • @kathycohn1234 Thats the point! an observer would see the clock ticking slowly as it passed by. However the traveller would see the clock ticking normally. Did you bother to watch more than the first 40 seconds of the video?

  • paralleled existence

  • once traveled it will be impossible to go back one would have created a instead their own timeline

  • imo if you killed your grand father and you werent born then you from the future would simply replace the you who should have been born, because although you wouldnt be born you'd still be there in that year, its actually very simple, in a sense it would be like anyone else killing him.

  • @stevied2k10 Correct! if you travel back in time and kill your grandfather it wont have any direct effect on you. However you would have changed the history that you knew and when you returned to your own time no one would know who you were. There are no paradoxes created by time travel and no endless loops created either.

  • sombody tell me if that clock is real and tell me what its called!!

  • Yes but will it blend?

  • So there is time travel to the future, but when you travel to the past it's actually a worm hole to another universe's past.

  • i made one myself, my stocks are doing great next year and God Damn Philly's won the world series again.

  • ok is that fucking clock real?

  • how about this: theres no past, theres no future, theres no time. All things that happen, is just one single moment.

  • "While jumping into the future is fairly easy"...?

  • Comment removed

  • i like how at about five mins and forty secs in they say that Leonardo divinchi came up with all these sophisticated depictions of stuff and maybe a time traveler whispered in his ear... How about maybe an alien whispered in his ear, or better yet, sent him messages telepathically...

  • IT IS A SPECIAL EFFECT this clock does not exist, just look when the photon is headed to the clocks position before its there.

  • You can't see the photon, can you? I assume the green photon was something they added in to illustrate the point, but I'm not sure.

  • Slow down the time so it doesn't need to travel the speed of light to enter the time machine from one place to other place.

this is just like you hate at a place for 1mins like stay there for 1hrs

  • What if, space time is reversed, so when our brain flips the lights our eyes take in, what if, any infomation we write, time traveling get flipped as we travel back, and what if that's why Leonardo Da Vinci's worked was written reflected???

  • I want that clock !

  • Maybe his grandfather wasn't really his grandfather?

  • The riot scenes came from Gothenburg, Sweden. For anyone who cares.

  • would his grandfather still be dead after he accendently killed him??

  • For travel into the future or past do you have to be constantly moving towards the speed of light? or can u stop at a future or past time and stay like that?

  • this explains why i'm shit at pool

  • what if you travel in the past, than traveled even farther into the past, than back into that first period of time of traveling to the past, would'nt it than be concidered traveling into the future, thus avoiding the paradox, or am i wrong?

  • But who wrote the book? it wasn't simon but it was simon whom told H.G. wells about the book before H.G. wells wrote the book so it is not H.G. wells whom wrote it so it is Simon yet Simon did not write it he read it so theres still a paradox

  • 940 Uncaused action is MAGIC !

  • i want one of those clocks

  • You see whats crazy is if someone traveled back into the past the time now would be a product of that and we would not know the difference...

  • I don't care if I have free will or not once I can experience life I'm pretty happy

  • So the true past, present & future is unknown, maybe all of existence is just edits by one object travelling through time and causing countless events

  • Where can i get a clock like that lmao.

  • @daylife17777 you can get it by learning how to do video editing lol

  • @cthatshit

    No shit......

  • @daylife17777 I no! I want that so badly!

  • @daylife17777 EBAY

  • @daylife17777 it's not a real clock mate, it's just added to the video xd

  • Of course, NOW I see Deutsch's explanaton pretty much summing up the same thing. That'll teach me to post comments BEFORE I've seen the entire video...

  • Why? Because the present he returns to is a parallel – an alternate – to the present he departed from. It’s as if he left the house to go outside, picked up the mail, then came back inside only to find out it is a different house entirely. Could he set it right? Possibly, by going back again and preventing himself from carrying out the murder, but even then he’d STILL return to an alternate, albeit closely similar, timeline to the original.

    Sorry for multipost!

  • Here’s the problem with the Wells Paradox theory. Assuming that it IS possible to travel backwards in time it is equally possible to change the past, even with disastrous results. Let’s say he managed to go back in time and kill his grandfather. Would he suddenly cease to exist? Yes and no.

He wouldn’t just disappear (POOF!) but would continue to exist in that state. Even if he managed to return to the present, the events of history would have altered so that he would never have been born.

  • (Gah! I harte character counts). or, at least, that Simon Wells would cease to exist. All history. All records. Gone. As would his father and the novel which inspired Simon’s trip to the past in the first place.

Physically, however, Simon would continue to exist. He may even carry the memory of his misadventures. However, there would be NO evidence to support his claim of identity and he may very well be considered mad.

  • It will never happen, never!

  • @Allanlegacy43 how do you know that the government doesn't have a time machine already?

  • @Allanlegacy43 if you were born 70 years ago you'd say the same thing about a man going to the moon.

  • So death is the only thing that creates a paradox? pfffffffffffft

  • HOW DOES THE CLOCK WORK!!!!!!!!!

  • Let's say there is not book called "The Time Machine" yet , then where did the original idea come from if you traveled back in time and your great grandfather wrote the book ? You don't mean there's another time traveler that came and gave him the idea , and then he wrote "The Time Machine" and then you read the book , then you went back in time to inspire him?

  • has already went to the future which basically skips your life. And that shows that your life is already written and that time as we know it as the present day is false. And that means Jack the ripper is still alive in 1888 and that we are all living in different worlds. Now this means that planet has its replica's when really everything that Jack the ripper done happened and it happened on this earth the only earth. The problem with theory's is that it captures our imagination so much.

  • And then this goes to show that if time travel was possible then that means our lives as we know it was written out for us and if I choose to kill someone that was mean't to happen, when really it was my choice to go do it. And this time travel THEORY was true then WE HOLD NO RESPONSABILITY for our actions because what we are about to do has happened and there is nothing we can do because what you are thinking now is what you are supposed to think since it's all happened because someome

  • At the end of the day this is all theories capture our imagination just like the big bang. We know it possible to imagine but to put it all into place would go against all the laws of physics. And then all the laws of physics fit in like a puzzle because if you brake one law then that breaks another which brakes another. So in THEORY it's possible but in reality it not unless maybe you can send protons to the future which will be like a split second away from the time you are at now.

  • you will open the book of past criminals and see that he only killed 4 victims when the day before it was 5 and no one will know how it happened because it happened 100 years before.

  • Or the 100 years for us will seem like an hour and thats impossible, it completely goes against the law of physics. And if Einstien was to go on a machine at the speed of light, either he will things in slow motion or he will grow older by years as the seconds pass which is not possible becuse then this interfere's with the human growth and time. And lets say you back and kick Jack the ripper between his legs then he does'nt kill on of the victims we know he did that means as soon as I do it you

  • This part of the documentary alone proves that time travel is not possible because everything that happens on earth follows the same law of time and that we have nothing to do with outer space. It is like going back in time and taking a picture of yourself then comming back to the future and finding that picture. Maybe time travel is possible in outer space but time it self will go on. So say your in space and your hour is 100 years for us, that our will feel like a hundred years for us or

  • I love aliens

  • with the grandfather paradox I think your not killing him but the bullet is.so he might just die.

  • @zeeshan595 but then you wouldent have existed to make that bullet kill him

  • The thing i dont get is if the time stops for light then why does it take ages for the light to reach the sun or the stars becouse time has been stoped for light

  • Lol last post

I think that The grandfather Paradox is correct

There has been time travelers but nothing has Changed because of the Grandfather paradox

Say if they wanted to kill hitler somthing would have stoped the events like.. The sniper rifle jamed or they found the time traveler trying to shoot him

There are many reasons why things happen and cant be stoped

  • The world we live in is Full on Unpredictable stuff

Like Aleins could really be us from the future

  • If you had a grandfather Clock and and you held onto it and went fast then the speed of time The Pendulem Would Tick every 6 seconds Instead of every 1 second

  • This professor mallet guy is trying to subliminally advertise himself in this documentary

  • is the clock real

  • @icemickiejamesfan ya it's real, you can get it at cost co. there's package of 5 for $29.99.

  • that photon clock real?

  • @xeqtr22 it is not...

  • Science is complicated -.-

  • Just because that clock is moving up and down more slowly does not explain how time is slowed. Why can time not be passing at the same rate even with that particle taking longer to reach the top and bottom?

  • Omg, is that clock for real?

  • If Simon told his great-grandfather about this book, then who created the idea of this book? There would not be a original creator of this idea. Ideas don't come appearing out of nowhere. So, there is still a paradox, right?

  • @sunjerry019 no, Simon would have given the idea of creating that book to his great grandfather because like they said, it would happen anyways so that would agree with what has already happened.

  • i will go back a make me a big ceo of gmc by blackmaleing the own lol oh and stop all the bush's from geting into the big house right own down to bush sr.

  • we will never have time travel light is not an object just like air we breath

  • @scion1818 air is an object ...

  • @083770

No it's put in there with a computer.

It's just there to give a representation

  • @083770 its fake its an effect

  • I think that if i went back and killed my grandfather, i would return to a parellel future in which i don't exist. I exist as an individual, but there is no record of anything. I think i would jump into another universe where i don't exist, coming from the universe that i did exist.

  • whats the speed of darkness i wonder? lol

  • Great Scott!

now everybody will think the clock thingy is real.

    Damn TV gimmicks!

  • if you did kill your grandparents you would create a paradox... just before doing so and you would dissipate into nothing

  • @tomek123kotek You can't create or destroy matter. So you can't just become nothing. That's a lot of matter to account for. Instead, a new branch of the timeline would be created in which the events of killing your grandparents happened and that parallel universe would have always existed with those factors in mind.

  • @alrightypewriter if the matter causes a paradox then it can disappear because of being in 2 places at a time

  • @tomek123kotek Well, I don't think you'd really be in two places at once. Your most current version of yourself would only be in one place, whatever your present is. I think.

  • @alrightypewriter like you said matter cannot get created from nothing... so there are allways bits of you even in the past somewhere... eg the food you eat or mabe something further down the line... so there will be 2 of thosse things

  • @srdickens have you seen my dickahh?

  • Amazing! The light clock above all

  • Hey you want to know how the paradox works?

Well the grandfather rule is taken into account that we can't create a paradox because time will fix itself. an event like stopping an assasination will stop abe from dieing stopping you from stopping the assationation. Unless you effect the past telling yourself to do it.

  • @MegamanBlackJoker i think quantum universes makes more sense. :)

  • If we see the distant star let's say 1000 light years away. As it's light travels and reaches us at the instance we look at it now, are we looking at it's past 1000 years ago at that very instance?

  • @skyhobbies yup because there is the entire 1000years worth of light traveling twords u in space like a long string and what part of that string u look at is a diffrent point in time

  • this video sounds like time travel is the reason for parallel universes

  • Well, if you could travel back in time, your very being present in that time will have an impact and will change the future. And that is not possible according to this video. Then timetravel is not possible. I mean I could be in the office of a Rothschild person in 1930 and breath out a bacil that will give him a future disease and kill him. The world will be immensly blessed, but this shows that timetravel to the past will always create the paradox. World War II would not have happened

  • How he slow down the speed of light clock

  • So what im understanding is if the clock is moved to the side and the light (time) slows down, then lets say he shook the clock up and down, very fast. the light hit the mirror faster, thus speeding time up, am i correct?

  • @OerosYes no i dont think so cause if you shake your watch does it go faster no

well its only a guess you could be right

  • what if i was to remember this exact day for all my life and tell the story of today to my children and them to there children and so on and so on. The story ide tell is if time travel ever becomes possible in the future to come back and either see me in the past (now) or send me a sign that which i would notice and know that time travel is possible. Would this idea work? any theory's please comment thanks

  • thats right we have no free destiny, only people from the future can step in an alter things.. people from the future step in all the time creating this reality we live in..

  • We could all make a paradox so easy right now. Think of this..

Its 7:00am today.. you have a time machine.. you say to your self.. im going to put a banana in my time machine tomorrow at 4:00pm and send it back to today.

Out of no were a banana apperes. You eat it.. now think. you just ate a banana that in the FUTURE you send back. How are you supposed to send it back. So paradox's can happen in future.... present.. and past scenarios.

Please message me or friend me if your into time travel 2

  • @xTR0JAXx added as friend!

  • Wow this all makes sense. Think of this as conversion! as we go faster every thing gets slower. So light would still pass us at the same time. Converting speed to time!

  • one thing is for sure.. that asian lady will never become an actress

  • @klarc :(

  • @klarc sure she will if she goes back into the fourth of fifth dimension where she is an actress and never leaves-lol but not in this dimension

  • @klarc

    You're a genius!

  • @klarc ....but yet she is. Interesting paradox eh?

  • @klarc hahahahah true shes annoying

  • @klarc I know what kind of actress I'd like her to be ;)

  • @klarc oh no he di'int!!

  • @klarc but she is on tv!!! so that is something

  • OMG I WANT THAT LIGHT CLOCK!!!!!!

  • @iamcoolerdenu OMG I WANNA BANG YOUR DAUGHTER

  • @iamcoolerdenu It's so pretty!

  • @iamcoolerdenu that clock called photon clock it only available to scientist. However you still can buy it from internet search it on google.product "photon clock" the one i have is including ipod dock.

  • @iamcoolerdenu lol go speeding at 300mph down state road 66!

  • @iamcoolerdenu it's gotta be fake and cgi right?

  • two years in the future and the machine is still not done?

i think they found something we wouldn't like

  • A laser is made out of photons in fact all light is made out of photon particles.

  • lmao, accidentally killing somone

  • LOL, this part of the video is really really silly, the actual event of going back in time and being the inspiration for the time traveller book is a paradox of it self, so is their theory that someone could have gone back in time and told leo stuu.Think about it. If someoine did that, then all before he was born , the whole world would see the effects of this. Let say when this dude is finallt is born he dies before he can go back? PARADOX!!

  • @TonyMon16

    Parallel universes.

  • Is the green thing at the beginning of the video a real photon? Or is it an after effects kind of thing?

  • @Manifest222 effect

  • So many silly ignorant comments here'. Learn some science people. What sad ignorant people you are

  • what if nostradamus travelled time

  • @BlizzMedia

Yeah, but not by very much. It'd only be, at most, a few seconds faster or slower.

Gravitational time stretching isn't a very big effect- even in the microgravity of orbit, time barely alters.

    Really, unless you have

  • time travel is impossible .

  • This is wrong... time isn't linear....

  • I like the initiative by professor malet...but I dont think the speed needed to travel those particles to the past can be achieved.

  • so if we went to live on another planet we would age slower or faster relative to the people on earth.

  • if you kill your grandfather, then your otherself in other parallel universe will never be born. you, will still be around because your grandfather can never be killed in your original universe.

  • Imagine if someone traveled a few weeks ahead of the present and had communications with the world so he would know about stuff like for example someone getting murdered, when he gets back to earth it will be before he gets murdered and he would be able to prevent it from happening.

  • the speed of light can be reached in a way, underwater

  • @iwaytur14 Perhaps, you misunderstand what he meant. he meant that there is no paradox in conceiving a travel to future (otherwise, my traveling into future as I write this reply would be equally paradoxical). You should remember that the astronaut mentioned earlier in the documentary, who travels fast enough constantly has in fact traveled into the future already in respect to our clocks; his one second is longer than ours, thus, he goes beyond our one second in one second.

  • Who cares if the green light is fake? It's an illustration.

  • This documentary says that if that man goes back in time to try to kill his great grandfather, something will go wrong and he won't have changed the past. However, if he actually went back in time, he would still change things, such as the movement of air in his great grandfather's room. Even if it didn't affect what we humans think of as actual events in history, I think it is a change in what really has happened in the world.

  • Seriously? People thought the green photon (light) clock was real??.. hahaha.

I love the average mentality of youtube users.

  • but nature has its way of bending it back

  • the clock and light is fake. It is just a theory.

  • @musicman387 Bearing in mind that the THEORY has been proved correct many time, not leased by using two atomic clocks and a jumbo jet. Exactly what part of the FACTS are you struggling with?

  • Stop playin arkanoid with ur green photon, lollz

  • that green light thing is 100 % FAKE !

  • @xx0nePiecexx duh -.-

  • @xx0nePiecexx

so? everybody know... but i see you find it out last

  • @pufixas duh ?? i know'd it when i watch'd it on tv .. i just wanned 2 say it it the comment :p

  • @samoabull why thank you Mr. Obvious, we really didn't hear that from the video...

  • 00:06 how he slowed down the photon???Is that fake?

  • if you did want to end yourself then you would send someone else to kill your grandfather in the past while you stayed in the initial present.

  • @candidopharm I like your idea, but if you send someone into the past, you have knowledge of it and therefore are part of the timeline. Surely the only way for you grandfather to be killed is for you to have no awareness of it, and therefore for you never to have lived? Either that or temporal assassination I guess... Although the people that ordered the assassination would become part of the past timeline and therefore never have existed. My brain hurts.

  • if you traveled back in time you would not be physically affected by killing your grandfather because you've already placed yourself in the past making yourself present in that past, from that point you could either create a new future or travel to your initial present. if you traveled to the initial present it would seem as if you appeared from nowhere with no connection to anybody just like appearing from nowhere when traveling to the past.

  • if this theory is true then is it possible that we right now are living in the past that we are just living our lives and some from the future came to watch us so really we are living the past or the future. the crazy thing is no can know. you cant say we are living in the present. example 100 years from now a person makes the time machine comes back to this day and tells me im living i the past. I it is true!!!!!!!!!!

im just a freshman in highschool but does anyone here understand me?
