There is no evidence found in Egyptian hieroglyphics that records this event, it is of course just an ancient story probably with a grain of truth but almost certainly not as depicted in the Book of Exodus - come on, this is the 21st c. not the 11th !!!!!

I think the bible is only a book formed by a collection of myths. Maybe, nothing that has been written in the bible and held to be true by so many is indeed the truth. I know that every man has the right to believe in whatever he wants do but I don't think the stories documented in the bible are to be regarded as true facts.

There is no documented or archeological evidence whatever that the Israelites escaped slavery in Egypt or, in fact, ever were slaves and/or ever even present there. There is only the Old Testament. There is no documented or archeological evidence whatever that the Israelites escaped slavery in Egypt or, in fact, ever were slaves and/or ever even present there. There is only the Old Testament. This is nothing more than a collection of old Hebrew myths passed down for untold centuries by word of mouth among a band of superstitious, illiterate nomads who needed a history and heroes. Where's the proof?

@cslewis623 Majority of the Bible? I'm sorry but I'm going to have to stop you there. Yes many stories were inspired by real events, but many other ones have evidence against them. For example, the flood and being able to store two of every animal on a boat for 40 days. Or maybe the dating that puts the Earth at an age of just a few thousand years. Then there's Adam and Eve when genetics does retrace a common mother and common father for all humanity but they lived thousands of years apart.

I just want to notify that in the period of Ramsès (at list), the hebrews were easy to differentiate from the egyptian : why was that ?
Most of them were white or close to white.
Which would imply that egyotians were mostly Black, skin colour being the most significant way to discriminate.

Ramses the 2nd aka Ramses the Great lived fron1279 b.c. to 1212 b.c. Ramses the Great was part of the 19TH Dynasty of Egypt!!! Hundreds of years AFTER Moses Israel was already known as a nation according Ramses the Great son Mernepthah. First of all this video is lies since it depict the egyptians as whites and fair skinned. The egyptians were black and referred to themselves as black....never white. An ancient egyptian male was called a khamsa. A female was called a khemsi. What more the ancient egyptians trace their heritage to "the land of punt", "the land of the gods". i believe that this was the pharaoh that moses spoke to and even grew up with, but i don't think that it was God's wrath that ended his life. i believe that when the red sea began to close, ramesses was thrown out of the water in order to see his mistake and live from it. they didn't find his body in the sea, but in a tomb.

At one point they must have threatened the might of Egypt and were expelled. However on the way out, they probably pillaged some Egyptian village and attracted the wrath of the pharaoh. I'm very well aware of who she was. How she was characterized by those with Christian ideologies is of no interest are biased opinions in themselves. In fact she is of no interest to me as much of her ideology was based on falsehood. This has no bearing on the scholarship of Professor Kuhn. His PhD in the subject only implies he understood it thoroughly not that he believed it or agreed with it wholesale. His assertions concerning the origins of Christianity are substantiated.
