  • This is complete nostaligia for me . . . Thanks for uploading the soundtrack.

  • Better than Stickerbrush Symphony/Bramble Blast in my (unpopular) opinion.

  • @DeathNote I agree with you. Stickerbrush Symphony is my #2 fav though.

  • God I hope I can write music this good one day

  • So relaxing... you close your eyes and can practically see the forest...

  • derp gamer: i only play hardcore games like cod and bf, this games are for babies

    real gamer: *___*

  • I will lose the other half of my virginity to this song!

  • @Dancerev335 uhh...

  • nossa que musica linda ! nostalgia pura

  • This game can be bought for 8-12 $ at yuour local game shop. Go get it.

  • @TangerineGroovin I would, but I've no where to hook up my SNES right now.

  • @DivaFan319 make room

  • @306Smokey Trust me, I plan too, I really want to play this again.

  • Wow this game had such amazing music, I really wish I still owned it.

  • Music this good is well … RARE !

  • does anyone else hear "wooOOOO...WOOoooo..", is it just me?

  • @djmocha7 You are not alone; for me the song doesn't even really seem complete without the trippy ghost noises.

  • @neverfakethefunk same. No Ghost Noises = track incomplete.

  • @kdreamland You're right but without the wind it's not

  • I've made lyrics to this and I think there pretty good but I need to know do you think it would be good making this into a song? I've grew up with the game and since I was younger I wanted to sing lyrics to the music :) I'm wouldn't care about getting famous off of it I'd just be happy one of my goals are completed :)

  • @1mermaidbethany

well, don't just sit there, let me hear them. :)

  • @djmocha7 ok well its not quit finished u still want to hear it? ( sorry it took long) :)

  • @1mermaidbethany

that depends. are you being sarcastic like i was. if not, then yes i do wanna hear it

  • @djmocha7 no lol its pretty good actually :) i'll put them on here in the next week ( i no that pretty long butu no school and stuff :P )

  • I will never forget the incredible memories I had with this. Thank you 16 bit era. Ahh nostalgia truly is a powerful emotion...

  • Sem palavras....

  • When you step back and think about it, the DKC soundtracks sound like nothing you'd hear on an SNES.

  • 5 people got trapped by the HA HA HA guys.

  • I Feel Sorry Too Kids That Haven't Played This...How Can I Say It... Awesome Wounder full Game..*Sigh*..Peace full, Calm.. Juss... Perfect..

    Not That COD Crap!!!

  • @SURSouthRider lol cod doesn't even have music

  • I've listened to alot of game soundtracks, but this one is by far the greatest since it always brings me back to listen to them. 1st game I ever played, will always miss it. Such happy days..

  • The beginning sounds like you stepped into another dimension...

  • not to step on anyone's memories but this always sounded kinda like porn music to me.

  • im glad that DKC returns got released,of course, its not better than DKC series on snes, but it still rocks. Maybe if they used old school snes graphics, just like capcom did with megaman 9 and 10,and used nes graphics

  • Every forest theme I like sounds really mysterious and good!

  • Thumbs up if this reminds you of Spyro 8D

  • now let's get rare to make a game exactly like donkey kong having the kremlings as enemies but with different main characters because most of the kongs belong to nintendo ='(...

  • @pescalante2 Rare lost their magic sometime between the release of Banjo-Tooie and now. (DOES NOT INCLUDE BANJO TOOIE, THAT GAME WAS THE SHIT!) :D

  • i got a EARGASM....nice.

  • 8-) . . . .

  • Comment removed

  • x´D Bonitos recuerdos...

  • Clásico entre clásicos.

  • Forever Love SNES <3

  • a knot in my stomach...

  • 4 people are lost in the enchanted woods

  • i disliked this song....because i miss this game :(

  • @twiztidjugala you can't do that man. thats just wrong :(

  • SO GOOD!

  • I just got up out of bed because i had a dream and this song was playing in it!

Tried falling back to sleep but i couldn't! :[

  • david wise on mushrooms

  • This makes me want to cry... alot of childhood memories :)

  • Ponies brought me here.

  • porra foda mano essa musica

  • 3 people played Brawl and got the idea Stickerbrush Symphony was better. They don't know what they are missing.

  • 0:50 "No matter what, I'll still have your love"

  • near donkey kong music they must put the "i dont want to grow up" by Ramones...

  • The dislike button shouldnt be on pages like this one.

  • I bet Jesus whistles this in the shower.

  • I like it so much! ♪Ta, da, ta data ra data...♪

  • I know, I said that already, but I just have to tell it again:

I had this music stuck in my head for YEARS and could never remember where it was from! When I found out it was from this game, I was like:"WOOT!" :D

  • When it came to 1:52 in the song I almost just cried of joy. That harmonica-like sound just really hit me in the heart, the whole song did, and it was a good kind of hit. I love how it keeps that enchanting forest feel to it, a sort of native feel as well, to me at least.

I love it so much~ Noone has any right to DARE say this or ANY song from the DKC series blows or sucks, else there'll be an infuriated nostalgic kid after you, if not, THOUSANDS of them! >:3

  • 3 people failed in their life :?

  • Well... now it's time to master the song on my ocarina.

  • Musica epica.

  • Well said! I too feel like people are playing games just to enjoy the feeling of winning, beating the game. So I see people using any means necessary including cheating and ordering and getting mad at teammates(if it's a online game). Truly good game should have a a fun process too, that players can have fun. Like, this game, DKC2, each stages having unique theme and obstacles (and of course great music) makes it one of the best-made games ever.

  • Whatever generation our childhood reigns tends to be our most precious memory but in time as we grow and learn that not all is what it seems, that memory remains. We may not see the current generation in our eyes as a good one, but kids these days can only take what they can get, as we did. Looking down on it now is just a reflection of the generation before us... It's like a never ending cycle.

  • @DeathbeastGregar you said it! :)

  • Not only do I love this track because it's relaxing, but I love the game. Despite the fact that I'm about to graduate high school, I still play these games because the game and the music bring back memories of my child hood. They were the best games back then, and in my opinion, still are. These are the games that never get old to me. Especially DKC 2. It was my personal favorite. I wish I had it again, but I haven't found one yet. :/

  • Piano Eletronico 75 pan Flute

  • Instead we have to read those fcking books at the school, why wouldn't we just play masterpieces like this and make all those essays from ol' good games from 90's?! That would be SOOO AWZOME!! XD

  • @DinerSals:

You never got the chance to play these games, did you? If you hate people so much enjoying this game, why are you here writing like a upset 12 year old refering to their comments? Get back to your counter strike, kid.

  • Swamp levels... Right?

  • @StandUpAndScream01 nope, forest levels! web woods, gusty glade and ghostly grove!

  • @mellesms I don't remember the forest level. Guess I have to play it again.

  • When I listen to this, the nostalgia is so strong it almost hurts. X/ Beautiful composition and instrumentation.

  • This entire soundtrack is just beautiful and pure. Donkey Kong Country series has the best set list of all series, I'm proud to have grew up playing it. It's ironic to think about how can the current games present a so vast technology, but can't beat songs composed 16 years ago, when sounds and beats were just a few.

  • @Xapam

    well said!

  • @Xapam reading both these two top comments make me feel so nostalgic <3 <3

  • @xLvl99Kittenz especially to this music <3

  • I freakin LOVE this song,it is so nostalgic and relaxing, and reminds me of my childhood,I feel so at peace.

  • Not even an xbox 360 could compare to this

  • those freakin ghost ropes!!!!!!... *appears* "OOOOOOO?"......."OOOOOOO!!!" *dissappears* *sadder tone*

  • I miss games like this, this game (to this day) is still a challenge to me and I think the games today are made way too easy.

  • @PeyserConley I practically worship this music, but I lose my main interest in lots of cool music a few days after hearing it...too bad...but you're really cool for downloading it!!! Even though I first discovered and downloaded it on the game itself. I used Sound Recorder to copy the sound, kuz you can't have better quality than that, my friend! But some computers have that option disabled since it causes some copyright issues.

  • Personally, I prefer this song to Bramble Blast Symphony thingy, It is to over-rated! I love the song yes, but what is it about the song that makes it so "amazing"?

  • 2 people could beat this level. When i listen to this song i could hear them saying HA HA HA Barrel :P

  • Donkey Kong Country 2 - Forest Interlude (Rock/Blues Cover)

    /watch?v=auANOx0iqcY

  • OMFG, I HATE MY MUM FOR THROWING OUT MY SUPER NINTENDO!!

NOW I CANT EVER PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, THE MEMORIES I HAD WITH THIS GAME...

    CLOCKING IT WITH MY DAD>.

    NOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Artharrex123 emulator + rom + usb controller = Fun + nostalgia

  • @Artharrex123 That's when an emulator comes and saves the day. i got this game for my emulator b/c my sister broke my SNES

  • My god... As much as I've played this game. I've never realized how truly great the music was.

  • the music is so calming and relaxing which is kinda funny if you think about what the theme of that stage is :P

  • stupendi ricordi ^^

  • This was ambient before the genre was even started.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dream6194 I agree. They did a super job making these great music from the 90's, now it feels like it is not the same.=(

  • I wish nintendo had good music again... if only david wise and nintendo teamed up again.

  • @Dream6194 ??? Excuse me but did I miss something here. At what point exactly did Nintendo STOP having good music?

  • 2 people never went to the woods

  • Definitely, the best soundtrack of all time!

That's impossible dislike this, even if you are in a cave in the past 16 years!

  • Oh Rare...Why'd you leave Nintendo to join what would be your downfall?

  • @flushsucks It's just that nowadays, we have such advanced technology that all that developers work on are stuff like graphics, physics, facemapping, online features etc., that that genuine game "feeling" gets ignored. Back then developers couldn't advertise stuff like HD graphics, so they had to make the story, locations, characters the interesting stuff, and that's why you relate to those more than to the modern games. You should try Minecraft, as it's a game that captures that same "feeling".

  • I wish someone could explain to me what is it about video games from back in the days make us just nostalgia really bad and in several years when we plug in our PS3s or our 360s we won't get that feeling. I keep telling myself it's just that video games aren't made with passion games were made back in those days but I really don't know. Anyone has a theory on this?

  • @flushsucks A childhood memory is more powerful (as a impact) than a adolescent or adult memory.

Everything back then was very simple and clean and the worries of the world were not there.

  • @flushsucks It is because everything was best when you were 12. Seriously there is a comic about it, google it.

  • its beatifull :)

  • 1:32-1:52

    "What is love?

    Baby dont hurt me

    Dont hurt me, no more"

    X2

  • @mikethesmooth You sure know your music man. I wish some people would take old music like this and make words for them, turn them into singable songs and stuff, that'd be super.

  • @trailboss95 You mean like Brentalfloss? He hasn't done any DKC2 (god I wish he would!) but he's done tons of classic games.

  • It's funny how such a beautiful song plays in what should be an ominous and creepy place...

  • @RobLance07 That's the DKC charm for you.

  • This song is the closest song to get me crying (just hearing the song itself) bit I haven't cried yet...=S

    Especially at 2:00 - 2:11

  • Donkey Kong (Cover Band)

    /watch?v=fB53aMCSCNw

  • All the old games had these kind of beautiful songs, shows the love.

  • @rootbeer543 I am proud to say that i am 14 and play more snes/nes games then i do for modern systems.

  • This track has a very warm sound to it. Also sounds like something Delerium would remix. :-p

  • Ah...I'm so glad I still got mine super nintendo and still can play this game on all the other games of the 90's that I have .

So I could play them again and have memories of mine childhood , so nice .

I wonder wich game childeren would like : Those of this era , or the ones we playes in our childhood .

    I'm just wondering that's all.

  • @TheRulerTalks Well for me, i'm going to introduce my kids to these games first that way they have more of an influence. I mean these games really made you think back then. No wonder kids of this gen aren't as smart, all they do now in games is blow people up.

  • @rootbeer543 yeah and I think that game designers care to much about the graphics then about the story and gameplay .

But maybe that's just me .

  • @TheRulerTalks Me too. That's why Rare was awesome. They made sure they had every aspect of the game was attended to until it was 100% perfect. That's why basically all they'r games were classics.

  • @rootbeer543 and then Microsoft bough Rare.

    Future=BOOM

  • Memories of a past I will not forget :)

  • My parakeet is chirping with the the bird in the background.

  • i know one thing for sure my children are going to play this game! THEY MUST!!!!

  • How come games can't be like this anymore. Sure we have Donkey Kong country returns, but it doesn't have that same atmosphere. I want my childhood back.

  • oooo my god i love this song is perfect fantastic song magic

  • Made my life fantastic as a kid... up until I became 10 when I got my first PC and lost my life to Quake III Arena and Command & Conquer!!

Even so, this and Mario made me a happy kid :D

  • While I was listening, I was expecting to hear an evil AHAHA! XD

  • amazing part at 1:33

  • lets do the interlude dance

  • I still think there are some games out there that you get the same amount of fun as this in. For instance the paper mario series was and is absolute amazingness. But nothing.. NOTHING will ever beat Rare's music in ANY of their games.

  • Nothing will ever, and I mean EVER, top Donkey Kong Country 2's soundtrack.

  • When i hear this song, instantly a song get on my mind..

    HAW HAW HAW!

    XD~

Who don't remember the ghosts? ='D

  • this is game wich worth the price you pay!!!

  • I love this music!!! it make me feel sad and relaxed at the same time. I don't care what people say but Donkey Kong Country 2 has the best music ever!!

  • Gaming Indrusty has changed a lot I think... Today you play games for defeating your opponents, or even beating the crap out of your friends to make you feel superior. I do play these games, but I dont enjoy them nearly as much as i enjoyed DKC2. This game was played for the game itsself, and the fun you hade going trough it. You didnt play the game to beat it, because that ment the game would have ended, and you didnt want it to...

  • @Saggidarkclown omg, fucking true shit, i love this comment!!!!

everything got ruined, music, games, culture! lol but yea.. me and my friend play dkc occasionally, fly through it. its so awesome

  • @Saggidarkclown You're so right! I agree with you. Its a shame that the 90's had the best games, he best music, the best TV shows and the best movies and nowadays we have crap, crap and more crap.

  • @Tazzy423

sad to say...the future sucks, huh? i thought the only improvements were video games, but i was only half right.

  • @midniteryder LOL so true.

  • @Tazzy423 Not everything is crap. You just gotta look for it.

  • @Nsanity96 True but truthfully nowadays what's out now don't have that good "feel" like the 90's did. Its just not the same. I mean i could take a 90's TV showad remak it. It won't b the same. But you're right tho.

  • @Saggidarkclown So True.

  • @Saggidarkclown You're fucking right man!

  • @Saggidarkclown:

    Oh look, it's THESE comments.

You know, the one's that were made to sound "deep" but in reality it's just some jackass saying "MY GAMES ARE BETTER, PLAY WHAT I PLAY, FUCKWADS!"

  • @Saggidarkclown i think this is the lyrics of the music because rhyme :D 0:19 to 1:06

  • @myrddraal2011

    Yeah dude, totally with ya.

  • ladies and gentleman the 90's

  • T_T

  • I have just taken my snes out of the cellar :D GREAT !!!

  • i wanna be a kid again

  • Did anyone just used to pause the level so you could listen to this? :'p

  • @yogurtlick i did

  • @yogurtlick Well certainly not more then 10 times per attempt :P The snes DK game music is soooo enchanting!

  • I wish I was a 90s kid, but I feel your nostalgic feelings about this game.

  • Some amazing times getting high and listening to this.

Of course, it is amazing even if you're not high. I just recall having this on my iPod and listening to it on the beach at night while lighting up a joint. Very beautiful and amazing experience.

Hate to ruin the magic by bringing up weed. Sorry. This whole game's soundtrack has so many nostalgic emotions connected to my heart strings.

  • @zrhealey

Damn dude, I'm high right now, true words there bro.

  • videogaming used to be a very immersive experience back in the days despite or maybe because of the lack of technology. i'm not excited anymore about new games as i was in the past. i will always remember the gaming summer of 96 - i was playing DKC 2, yoshi's island, super mario 64 on the japanese n64, virtua fighter 2 on the saturn and mortal komabt 3 and killer instinct in the arcade. wonderful times for a gamer!

  • Who is waiting to hear the ghost ropes?

  • @honeybananas THE GHOST ROPES!!! :D

  • Donkey Kong Country: good!

    Donkey Kong Country 2: BEST!<3

Donkey Kong Country 3:never played! :,(

    Donkey Kong Country Returns:fun!

    Love DK!

  • This is such a powerful song.

  • Al igual que ustedes, estas canciones me traen una pena enorme, una emoción única ! ... THE BEST GAME! <3 u.u

  • Is it bad that I still have a working copy of this amazing game?

  • @HarveyMidnight

Why would it be bad....? I don't get it.

  • @iTeriyakid lol.

  • @HarveyMidnight

Why would it be bad? It would be bad if you DIDN'T have a working copy. Cartridge games are pretty hardy. You would have had to treat them like crap to have them not work.

  • @Draknfyre

Not always. I remember the cartridge that we would play all the time stopped saving the games ever after we saved it. So it would get to the point on who could get the farthest before we stopped playing or we would have to start from the begging again lol. and trust me we took good care of it I can assure you :D

  • @iroaxni

"Not work" implies the game doesn't start.

What you are describing is SRAM battery failure. Those batteries only last between 6-10 years, assuming there wasn't a premature failure.. After that, they no longer hold the save data. They can be replaced if you get the special bit that's used on the cartridge screws, open it up, and carefully replace the battery with a CR2023 battery.

  • @Draknfyre YES! I always thought cartridges were the way forward. All of my N64 and SNES (even Master System) games still work 100%, they're almost indestructable (well, not really, but a damn sight stronger than CDs!). You can use them with less care than a CD, and they'll last ten times as long!

  • @hopintheroflcopter

The downside to cartridges are that the ROM chips got expensive. Some Genesis games were $100 when they came out due to the amount of ROM chips they required. The largest Nintendo 64 games were 64MB, and only two of them existed, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Resident Evil 2. Even today with flash RAM being cheap (a 4GB card being $10) it would still be expensive for the amount that discs today can have (10GB-25GB) but cartridges were much more sturdy.
