  • NewcastleEmperor sucks

  • Crazy

  • i still don't see why this was 1:21 ooooohhhhhhhhhh

  • ohhhhhhhhh

  • Why was this banned?

  • @PhotoCocoa96 Does the twin towers give a hint. -_- P.S this was made not long before 9/11

  • @matrixfan127 I know all about 9/11 but, I don't know why they would ban it just 'cause they fell.

  • @PhotoCocoa96 u dumb ass -_- the twin tower was destroyed... you know that? and the trailer came after the twin tower got destroyed..

  • @UltimateGokhan No this trailer came out just before...hence the banned. They pulled this then went back and edited the movie to remove the towers.

  • @PhotoCocoa96 also the helicopters was the Center on the twin towers

  • Can't think of a better testament to the Two Towers, personally!

  • Hmm. Kind of reminded me of the first scene in the Dark Knight a little too much... "It will be all over in just a few seconds" and "Like taking candy from a baby" ring a bell.

  • So...the terrorist kill the Spiderman movie? because this film looks very very good.

  • I remember seeing this when I went & saw Titan A.E. at the theaters..

  • like if u remember seeing this trailer before it was pulled :-)

  • Is that The Rock? From 00:53 to 00:55?The guy on the right side, of the helicopter pilot. If it's not him, it sure looks a lot like him.Even the yeah, sounds just like the yeah lol, that he usually said in the WWF, back in the day lol.If it wasn't him, my bad lol.Peace ;)

  • @rsdestroy Nah, it's not the Rock, it's "Dwayne Johnson" on the right side.

  • @MexicanTuber LOL.Then it's really him.Thanks for the info.

  • lol, the 00's

  • It wasn't banned Sony just decided to pull it

  • Yeah, I understand why it was banned and everything with 9/11, but with the remake of kind kong when it was on TV after 9/11 they couldn't take out the part where the helicopter crashed into one of the towers????????????

  • @matrixfan127 I'm pretty sure that helicopter crashed into the Empire State Building

  • @tigerwiger0 In the remake of king kong from BEFORE 9/11 which was 1976 he climbed up the WTC Please read more carefully.

  • I'm totally stealing Doug Walker's opinion here, but this was definitely going to be Spiderman's big reveal, like you know how in most super hero movies the hero often has a big reveal when you see him in his costume for the first time, like in superman returns he catches the plane, but in spiderman, we just get this shitty little montage of newspaper clippings, this was defo gonna be his reveal.

  • aah i remember being so excited when i saw this trailer in theaters for the first time

  • this trailer sucks anyway, none of that was ever going to be in the movie.

  • NEXT SUMMER...this won't be possible. Sorry, Spid-ey. D;

  • i wish this was in the movie

  • spiderman is a pussy he didn't get to stop those plane how he did to the helicopter ..

  • Guys, look at 1:17 when the Helicopter is trapped. Did you notice how the web made the shape kinda resembleing the Satanic Star, between the Twin Towers? (0_0)

  • wtf is with all these assholes? there all accounts created by those websites to advertise.

  • sure it werent band cuz that never happened in the films

  • What is the problem with showing the towers? I mean the scene looks really good.

I understand they were crashed down, but its like if here in Argentina we never show anything related to the military because of the Dirty War.

Yes the towers arent there but they were and if the movie has scenes with them dont bitch at it

  • i think it would of been cool in the movie

  • i herd that this part was supposed to be in the movie but due to the freaking 9-11 attacks they scraped it.They even had a poster with the twin towers on it but they ripped that up as well. But as for that trailer that had a part in the movie well lets just say that they replaced it with something stupid

  • What's a 9-11?

  • @cornnutsmaj7 It's referring to the terrorist attacks on the twin towers on September 11th 2001 - (9/11)

  • @Matt260892 HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH, I'm sorry for misleading you. Who DOESN'T know about 9/11?

  • Isn't it inconvenient that the World Trade Center was in the trailer, then they got destroyed by terrorists?

It's kinda like terrorists hate Spiderman more than America!

    (LOL not really)

  • be sure to check out MVDC clash, MVDC splash and FORCE comic teaser and feel free to leave a comment and subscribe theres more to come...thanks!

  • oh pre 9/11 america... how i miss you... and to all the liberal hippies who claim that America hates muslims... America and our founders hate ISLAM and all other forms of oppressions that threaten our liberties that people like Jefferson fought so hard to get... and the same oppressive "religion" that took our towers away!

  • bush is a fag, fanatic islamists suck, so does every single fking human hating fanatic

  • I wouldn't call this one banned. It's more like it was abandoned because the twin towers didn't exist anymore and it would have simply been inaccurate to portray them in a movie that "takes place now". The movie wasn't even finished yet. This change wasn't very shameful. The stupid shameful ones were in already existing movies where they'd omit those scenes showing the twin towers. Duh, the movie takes place before Sept 11, 2001, so obviously the towers ought to be there.

  • Oops.

  • It wasn't BANNED, it was a teaser trailer shown prior to the attacks, but was pulled after America tried ret-con NYC to no longer have the World Trade Center's landmark towers. That was a crazy time; everyone in the entertainment industry seemingly trying to update their NYC skylines to remove its long most iconic feature.

  • @WakeShinigami

It's a shame it had to be banned because this is one of the coolest trailers I have seen.

  • I saw this in theaters. Might as well ban any movie dealing with terrorist in this country right. It has been 10 years America lets move on. I don't care if I offended anyone either, keep putting your head in the ground.

  • Was this banned because of 9-11?

  • A buddy of mine shot this trailer...Great DP !!

  • what's the music called at the end 0.0

  • Did Sam Raimi even direct this teaser commercial? It seems to be lacking his visual style and flair. It doesn't remotely look like his actual Spider-man films. Did they hire someone else to shoot this generic looking teaser just to put something out during the production?

  • Comment removed

  • Haha shame poor spiderman creators i mean could they have expected that in a year the world's two tallest buildings wouldn't exist anymore then again after the shit spiderman movies they've made i feel no empathy for them

  • Let's stop being politically correct..muslims are evil and conflicted..they have a depraved set of beliefs..they also practice intolerance like no other.why should the rest of us treat them any better? ppl of the wrold wake up before its too late..these ppl are already in our neighbourhoods..hating us, judging us all the while...speak your minds..before its too late..we fail to respond to their crimes for fear of being called racist

  • @electra00inatgmail funny how you can base that on nothing but what you belive. i could say the same about you. you do not know the belif of every single muslim. no you know the belif of the extremists assholes who likes to yell as loud as possible. judeing based on race or belif is discriminating and whille i don't fear being acused of it i do not want to do something like that without need. yes some muslims do bad things. guess what same goes for non-muslims.

  • ...I knew it! it was Spiderman! Bin Laden just couldn't pull it through.....

  • *sigh*... if only to live in the times when people were EXCITED to hear about a new movie based on a beloved superhero...

  • lol I remember seeing this in the movie theater it was so awesome I was excited for this movie then I saw it and was like, "eh."

  • This is actually a really cheesy video.

  • Shame, this was a really good trailer too.

  • Do we have to deny the world trade centre ever existed then?

Who would be offended by this?

Or was this just to keep the subject hyped up because it's working!

  • Was spiderman the 1st live marvel movie?

  • @Cryptically Well no. I think Blade was first. However, Spiderman is what put superhero films on the map. After Spiderman, there was marvel movies all over the place. People say it was X-Men that did it. It wasn't, it was Spiderman.

  • well i see why they banned it. I thought spider-man was a true story until i saw this. he couldn't have possibly put a web between the two buildings if they weren't there. and you people had to make it a religious debate.

  • i remember watching this trailer when i went to a theathre in tijuana mexico i first saw it i was like oh shit a spiderman movie

  • Man, people are such freakin' pussies. Oh boo hoo, we were terrorized, We responded to Pearl Harbor(military, during war times, by an ally of our enemies) being blown up by bombing two entire (civilian) cities to rubble, but (two) of -our- buildings being destroyed, oh the indignity, the inhumanity of it all.

    Ia Ghoudathulhu! Ia Ghoudathulhu Fhtagn!

  • Also banned because it's a pretty dumb trailer...

  • Fucking idiots!!! Because your fucking fears...the director deleted a great scene!!!!....That why your fear to everybody and not only BIN LADEN,,,,CHINESE,MEXICANS,SOVIETS,INDIANS,etc...Fucking paranoics!!!!!

  • fuck you spider man. you can trap a helicopter but not the jets on 9/11.

  • @BLUEEYESSEVEN not funny

  • @Rapidfire94T But i thought it was a Comic.

  • @Rapidfire94T AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHHAh

  • @Insabanua lol now that's a bit funny, an idiot typing himself laughing for no reason xD

  • @Rapidfire94T Get cancer, no one will miss you, not even your parents.

  • @BLUEEYESSEVEN To be fair, he was probably stopping another crime when it happened. He may have even tried to rescue people from the wreckage.

  • @BLUEEYESSEVEN Now now, that helicopter couldn't have weighed more than 10,000 pounds. The 767s that crashed into the World Trade Center were near their maximum takeoff weight of 395,000 pounds. Even Spider-Man has his limits.

  • @rogermwilcox not true. in one movie he stopped a moving train.

  • @BLUEEYESSEVEN Yes, but he fainted immediatly afterwards, that could have been his limit. I think that a Boeing 767, let alone two would have been a bit too heavy.

  • @BLUEEYESSEVEN you are aware that spiderman is a fictional character right?

  • Okay, I've gotta say that a lot of the interior of that bank (including that shot of the safe right before they get in the chopper) looks pretty darn similar to the one in The Dark Knight. Does anyone agree with me on this?

  • Was this actually gonna be in the movie or was it just meant as a trailer?

  • @UncleMcCrustyPoo

After the terrorist attacks, Sony recalled teaser posters which showed a close-up of Spider-Man's face with the Twin Towers, reflected in his eyes. Not all of the posters were recovered though. The towers are seen in the movie, even reflected in Spider-Man's eyes. The makers of the film decided not to remove them digitally, and this trailer was not in the movie.

  • I'm not sure how valid this statement is but I found out on some site that the true reason why this trailer was withdrawn (not banned) was not only because of the attacks but the fact that the chopper was pulled back towards the Twin towersin a striking manner resembled the plane crashes so was regarded too sensitive - Hell, imagine them lot blamin' Spidey for the attack

  • WHATS THE SONG AT THE END??????????????????

  • @PunjabiLionsCrew The song name is leave you from behind

  • emile de ravin and deborah ann woll for spiderman reboot!!!!

  • the cut it out but not the scene where you can see the twin towers in his eyes ? oh come on...

  • i felt chills when i saw the world trade center! did u experience that too??

  • @evildead818 nope

  • This was BY FAR the best of the first movie.

  • Why is it banned? 3...2...1(1:22) , Oh, yeah

  • i remember when i first saw this trailer when i was a kid haha

  • @ReservoirDog1026 if you were a kid then you still are a kid maybe your 20 now

  • @tool5150 hahaha not even 18 yet my friend :P

  • It's True The Font Of playstation three is Spidermans Font.... Make you wonder if Sony are Running out of ideas.... Either way they produced it....

  • @Jasmini

They wanted to market the PS3 as a media center, I believe, and using a common font to associate it with a popular movie was a good way of doing that.

  • my god that sound at 1:20 and the zooming out to see full view of the skyline sends chill's down my spine about that fatal day :S

  • I remember seeing this when we went to see Final Fantasy The Spirits Within

  • Surely "banned" is the wrong term here. "Withdrawn" might be more apt, unless the American Government really did crack down on this.

  • its probably very good luck on their part that this got banned. my expectations of this film woulda been a lot darker, and quite frankly, alot BETTER than what they were originally. Added expectations mightve bumped it from being the greatest comic book film adaptation EVER!

  • It always bugged me the PS3 and Spiderman shared the same font... :\

  • @TheTrueNehme It doesn't anymore, well not internally since the slim's release and update 3.0 (WHY they removed that font, I have NO IDEA). I miss that font, I can only see it in the "PLAYSTATION 3" on the top of my 60GB's casing in chrome paint now.... ;{

Also music at the end is my favourite song from the game I got free with me PS3 (MotorStorm). This brings back all kinds of memories...

  • I pictured this trailer with two bandits coming out of a bank at nighttime then as they're moving, they get caught in the web and it spells out "Spider-man was here".

  • Banned is probably the wrong word. It's not like anyone told them they couldn't show the trailer. Censored might be a better word..

    Just saying.

  • It's a shame it was censored, I always thought this trailer was awesome

  • I thought this trailer kicked ass. Fuck censorship.

  • Fuck censorship, I say they should have shown this trailer, it's epic.

  • @DSX147 Yeah. That "epic" music at the end really sealed the deal for this trailer's "epicness", huh?

  • Is it just me, or did anyone else notice the striking resemblance between the scene in the Dark Knight where the clowns are robbing the bank and this clip right here?

  • @niruzzz i saw that too! i was like... this looks familiar. i actually saw this trailer in the theater before they stopped showing it. i forget what movie it was on though...

  • @niruzzz yea lol they seems if they copied.

  • Is this a real trailer, because that scene is not even in the movie!?

  • They took the scene out for the same reason the trailer was banned...read the description.

  • they banned this trailer because of terriorist attacks on the World Trade Center

  • @simpsonsmann94 Very intelligent observation

  • A got to see this trailer in theaters, and I remember back then I didn't have the internet, and so I had no idea a Spider-Man movie was coming out, and I FREAKED OUT when Spidey's face came on screen.

  • @QuickMovieReviews. do mean pshyced? cuz i remember i seen it in theaters too and i was like "dis is soo awesome!!!!" since ima spidey fan

  • I meant I was excited yeah.

  • Candy robbing? He's says "like candy from a baby."

  • This trailer kind of sucked, regardless of its timing.

  • I don't get what's so bad about it! It's a feared robbery that soon a hero stops!!!

  • It's because the attacks on the World Trade Center buildings... the buildings Spidey trapped the helicopter between... were destroyed a couple of months after the trailer debuted. They were just being sensitive to the situation and figured it would be in bad taste to show the twin towers still up.

  • I Think They Said This Trailer Was Completed 27th August 2001, Finished Editting On 4th Septemeber 2001 And Released On The 6th. 13th September 2001, This Trailer Was Abolished.

  • @xXPrivateCabooseXx The trailer debuted on Final Fantasy The Spirits Within which was out in theatres in July of 2001.

  • "banned due to terrorist attacks"

No, it was banned due to our own fears and insecurity. Let's be honest.

  • Really. If anything, they should have KEPT this trailer so we could see the WTC and remember them for what they were, instead of shelving it in fear.

  • @ThomasJAckerman

Basically, it was banned because it shows the WTC towers which... well... no longer existed by the time the movie was due to be released. And that's why this scene was cut from the film, too.

But you are not wrong about the whole "fears and insecurity" thing...

  • @ThomasJAckerman no George bush know 9:11 going to happen and they didn't stopped it.

  • @sshers1 You haz teh bestest grammer evr...

  • @ThomasJAckerman

    True that.

  • I don't get it why was this ba.........oh.

  • why??? its a robbery then spider-man stops it! its corny like in a cartoon!!!

  • The significance of 9/11 is that it was a terrorist attack on American soil. One of these hadn't happened for a long time. Though there were terrorist attacks on American facilities in other countries, they were not truly IN America.

  • Timothy Mcveigh

  • wats the song in the end?

  • "Leave You Far Behind" by Lunatic Calm

  • idiot.

  • About a crap as all the others

  • Stating my opinion, that comment was offensive and insensitive. A friend of mine lost her mother at age 5 when one of the plane's crashed into the Pentagon, and for years this event couldn't be mentioned around her or she would start crying. Though she is better now, it did very much effect her family.

I don't mean to be rude, but whenever someone mentions 9/11, I think of her five year old body curled up on my living room floor sobbing. Think of these things before you comment.

  • that's not what i meant. what i meant is that everyone around the time pretty much overacted, when they shouldn't have. i didn't mean that it wasn't a disaster, i just meant that in my opinion most people overeacted to it. no one that i know knew anyone that died, yet they fervantly taboo any mention of it. and realize, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, cause it's just that, an opinion.

  • Yeah. Less than 20 Muslims do it then "Oh ALL 1.6 Billion Muslims are terrorists." C'mon people.

  • are you still talking bollocks lol

come to belfast and i will rape you lol

  • im Muslim... my entire family is... and in what way is this that somehow its MUSLIMS robbing it? It's just some stupid robbery that spider-man stops!!!

  • umm the web that the helicopter is trapped between is the world trade center... my parents are muslim too (i'm not) but even i understood this..

  • Shh

  • Comment removed

  • hey methenim

do you know who is your father? let me know man

  • @methenium hey mind your language before you call us Muslims terrorists. 9/11 was a conspiracy made by your own president Bush.

  • @kaleem091983 Some day, in the distant future, humans will finally come to realize that their concept of God (an egotistical creator who punishes its own creations with eternal damnation for not complying to its desires) couldn't possibly be more absurd! I say screw all your Gods in their insecure asses. I would sooner worship Joe Pesci than a dog, oops excuse me, a god, that creates the filth that I've seen on this Joe forsaken planet! Human beings = absolute shhit!!! What happened to logic?

  • @liebnitz123 Well I do agree that we have created a being of which we have never come to see and a reason into starting wars. While we all believe in "our" god the fact remains we are all humans, different backgrounds and split into groups who believe in different creators with different stories. So really who is to say one is more valid than the other?

  • @liebnitz123 Been watching George Carlin acts huh?

  • @methenium no but most of them are.

  • @methenium yes, because that was the only muslim terrorist attack ever commited. al queda is a terrorist group made up of many thousands of muslims. and they would never be even remotely succesful if they didnt have the support of most of the muslim populace. so dont say "it was just 20 people", cuz thats bullshit.

  • uh...those who lost their loved ones? the symbol of america's connection with the rest of the world symbollically crushed? no? not serious enough for you?

  • that shit is raw as fucc!!!!

  • ...sorry if I come off as insensitive, but what's the problem with this scene?

  • Because this preview came out int he summer of 2001. This was before 9/11. Immediately afterward, apparently Hollywood tried to make us forget that there ever WAS a World Trade Center.

  • The prescence of the Twin Towers, specifically when the baddies' chopper gets tangled up in a mammoth web danlging from them.

  • I said a problem, not a chronological error.

  • this trailer was made before 9/11

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of the song that starts playing at 1:27?

  • Leave You Far Behind by Lunatic Calm

  • Dude I remember when I first saw this in theater too bad they had to cut out that scene although its very understandable why, I wonder how this movie will turned out if 9/11 never happened???

  • it would probably be in the movie.

  • maybe not as good as the way they did it,but the twin towers part would have been awsome

  • The most expansive part of the film cut out, just to bad, i do feel sorry for the families who lost ther love ones on 9/11

  • why the track from the movie The Matrix?

    doesn't suit well :-(
