Now that I want to continue the insurance privately, BlueCross will not allow me to do so until I have had all medical treatments that I need...(I need carpal tunnel surgery) and am completely recovered. I have Blue Cross, and have had it for 17 years with my job. Now that I want to continue the insurance privately, BlueCross will not allow me to do so until I have had all medical treatments that I need...(I need carpal tunnel surgery) and am completely recovered. What's the deal? I already have the same insurance but copay with my company...now I want to pay all insurance myself, and run into these barriers. It's very different in Europe. No bartering for insurance.

If you think Obama is reposible for our high gas prices, think again. Consider record profits the gas co's made last two years... Off shore drilling will not relieve high prices for at least a decade & very little $ reduction at that. And, at what cost to the environment? For what we spent on the Iraq war, we could have installed distribution stations for alternative fuel (eg. fuel cells - technology is ready, but we need wide spread distribution centers before cars can be mass marketed).

in case you don't check the link above... here's ONE example of many: in Ill senate, Barack proposed legislation to reform the death penalty with great opposition, including from the police. At the end, the legislation passed - nearly unanimously - and the police ENDORSED Barack for his US Senate run. THere are other examples of how he not only works to bridge sides together, but how he works towards common sense solutions, not partianship. read both sides, not just info from one party. ;-)

What experience? Bush has experience. Experience in screwing the country, sending thousands of American soldiers to death for no reason (oh, yeah, I forgot, weapons of mass destruction), bumping up the state debt to a new record (or should I say multiple records?), spoiling the US reputation among other countries. What constitutes a HERO? Back in the day........a HERO was someone who did something out of the ordinary.

I'm a Republican and was a delegate to our State Repubilcan Convention (for Ron Paul) but I'll be voting for Barack over McCain.

I was struck by seeing how many winners he appears with -- from all the heads of states and star Democrats to George Clooney and Oprah. When does McCain ever appear with anyone wonderful? The contrast with all the grassroots love is is great. Good idea for the convention. But the music is terrible.
