@RoyalKiller202Revise You get magick frenzy by teaching it to a seer. I currently forgot the name of the book you need to learn it. And to level someone to level ninety-nine is easy... battle... A LOT... or use cheat codes which would be a really lazy tactic.

i soloed entire game after i got a Bangaa to be a mix of Templar and Dragoon... i love how templars can reduce people to nothing... the other easiest way to kill anything is to build up a templar to use haste and stuff that builds up to scions... i have 5 different ones on him... which means after 3 turns everything dies... im not worried about punching because my class is a White Monk

When u finish 300 quests, isn't there a event quest at Sant D'alsa Bluff that takes place in Blackfrost?? Called the champions' cup. Its like the Jylland Cup... but all your opponents are lvl 99.

Gotta say, though. The original tactics is THE best, hands down. Anyone arguing that the DS ones are better are clearly uninformed. The original had such a beautiful story, was sincerely difficult, even for pros, and had wonderful side stories, and even a guest appearance by none other then Cloud. Such a deep story and characters. Anyone agree with me?! You actually have to strategize hard to win, and i recommend not beefing up for maximum suspense and difficulty.

There is only one DS game, Grimoire of the Rift. You sound like someone who hasn't even played the Gameboy Advance version, so I question your ability to accurately pass judgement on the subject.

Having played every single Tactics game, for the record, I think the second iteration was the finest. Streamlining the previous game, and altering the ugly polygons to beautiful hand drawn sprites, in my opinion it remains the high-water mark of the series.

You could just as easily do all viera assasins with marche as a defense tank paladin, teach the viera concentrate, last breath, and conceal, and then win every match in like two turns. For the dark immune guys just teach em ultima with the maxes oath bow.

"Ultima" attacks are the strongest ability a job can do. (not all jobs can do it, though) There's ultima attacks for gladiators and moogle knights (Materia Blade) , assasin (Zanmato), sages (Zeus Mace) and hunters( Seventh Heaven). Once mastered, equip with different weapons for better range and MP privileges and abilities for rapid use of such a high MP attack. i dont see why ppl had trouble with illua. i just used luso and the hume from your main party as a fighter and the bangaa as a white monk and just kept spamming aurablast and air render. also used the moogle as a moogle knight and spammed mog lance. my nu mou and viera was on heal duty with the viera as a summoner and nu mou as a white mage with blk magic as the second ability.

you dont have to be 70 and up, I beat this game with my highest lvl being a 53. Btw these are 2 character combinations you can use, they really are killer combinations

sage/blackmage-with turbo mp and ultima, can do around 800-900 dmg with ultima, with the black mage spells he can do around 200-300 dmg.

Assassin-had halve mp with ultima masher, so from the beginning of the battle she could just 1hit ko somebody

SO many question but ill try to answer them all, so first one, to defeat illua u need to have at least 2-3 characters above lv 75, any above that and you will win easily. Next Dont make luso into a palidin, do what this person has and become a blue mage. Or you could like me, make a Pravir with geomancy and u will easily do 500+ dmg. there is an easier way to get half mp with out clan trials and that is to make the clothes in bazzar.

Also to get Vaan and Penelo before you fight Illua in the quest The Ritual head to Flugoris or around there and head to the red square bubbles

This battle isn't to hard. Get your gunner charm the monster(if it didn't jump down yet)

and someone with strong attk with dual wield and fairy shoes up there to kill Ilua.

i've done 328 my first time without cheats, that was a big waste of time. this game was pretty boring the whole way through. even "the 5 kings" was simple, beat them at roughly level 65 guys no problem. and no multiplayer, so after you beat the game and get mega high level guys, u can't do anything with them. that's why i love war of the lions more, and besides u could get cloud in that :)

If anybody needs a tip before fightign the final battle here it is. Befor going to the last battle leave. Play around with the new quests. After a quest Ezel will give you a law card to prevent your judge from being stolen. So you can use your priveledge =D. Good Luck! P.S. use scions to fight they are really helpful!

my charcters were only about lvl 50 when this became available to me, so I haven't done it yet, by the way to get the other quests you have to just go around and fight the clans or momsters that occasionaly pop up in different places (e.g. the bangaa brotherhood, or "Wee Evil" hey how do you get "High Magick?

I was just about to beat her when she used rebirth and then killed my entire team I was stupid since she had like 43 hp and if I used my summoner and had her use Gaia's are attack she would have just about killed her then all I would have to do is let Adelle finish her off but instead I tried to kill her by Summoning Ifrit and I missed T_T o well...

a risky but fairly effective way to hit 100+ on illua is to make luso master hoar frost blade as a parivir then change him to paladin and optimize him.

I just beat this today. Illua was just a stalemated fight the first ty but I beat her on the 2nd, easily. I think Square-Enix KNEW she would be too easy if she was like the first two times so they had to give her that OPed abilities.

It's called Magick Frenzy. You must have access to the job: Seer. Then you must equip the book: Edaroya Tome if I'm not mistaken and you will learn Magick Frenzy. To know more about this ability look it up on google.
