  • Can u play gamez in hd if we have a hdtv???

  • how do i play of my samsung Android phone it says i dont have a controller

  • How do you get in on iphone?

  • @simolegendary Wait for the iTunes App to come out.

  • Too many drawback for now - low resolution (720p), low graphic settings (depends of bandwidth speed), game support for only 3 years (I still play "old" games), NO MOD community (which can enhance the experience to much higher levels), total control to the publishers, etc.

But this is the future. No need for hardware upgrades, no piracy (in theory), good social options.

As a Steam user, I hope Valve is taking a look at this and similar technologies.

  • are you only playing vs. other onlive players or also against steam players?

  • @xXScorpionzzXx I think it's just onlive players

  • @xXScorpionzzXx My bets would be only against onlive players because they are competing directly with steam and origin.

  • one thing I will say about this is if your planning to play through wifi then don't bother ... but if you have a Lan or link up directly to your router etc then its awesome... I was gutted playing in wifi then just bought a cable and connected it up and got the 720p experience... this is inspiring technology.

  • This should just become a hotel service. >>

  • Its great but... Super Crappy graphics + super laggy = gameboy.

  • that actually IS recorded footage in the intro video. When you reach the dashboard,if you look in the top left-hand corner, you will always see a video of Split Second.

  • from my experience, the gameplay is pretty poor.. pixelated and laggy.. and my internet isnt too bad usually (4-7 MB on average)

  • @Razman360 i have a 1mb conection and yes its a tiny bit pixelated but NEVER ever lags always 50fps+

  • had to sign in just to say that was an epic review keep these up :P

  • does this have a virus

  • @359lorenzo ...no

  • @359lorenzo definately not..you pay to use this and thousands of others do it to. Just be ready to spend money

  • I just tried it, it needs a really good stable connection..................... Being a student next to houses of other students having the same ISP's as 10 others.. It's hard to play.

  • the ability 2 just watch anybody play any game is incredible. i should get this

  • Now if it just went with free memberships and had more games to buy, it would be kicking Steams ass.

  • @JakeWolfyFBM This video is very very old. There are free memberships and over 150 games now.

  • @Saieno86 What are you talking about, it only has 104 (OnLive Playback Bundle)

  • @JakeWolfyFBM That 104 is just for the $9.99 bundle that gives you all those 104 games, plus 30% off of everything (games, hardware, pre-orders, sales). There are over 150 titles on the service though, as they have MUCH better titles outside of the playpack.

  • @Saieno86 There are some good ones in the playpack though, like JC2, Batman Arkham Asylum, etc. I'm hoping to get Mafia 2 soon though. :P

  • can i play free to play game on this like maplestory or runes of magic ect

  • so lemme get this straight you can play borderlands on onlive on the crappiest computer and it will work

  • @madgamer099 yea pretty much just gotta have a good internet connection :)

  • @madgamer099

Yes but you don't own any of the games forever.

And you need the internet to play the games and all of the games are set to a certain video configuration, so no maxing out or even getting great framerates.

Personally, it doesn't appeal to me, as I have a Mid-ranged gaming PC, but I can understand it from other people's perspective, its a great Idea, just has a few problems.

  • so im confused about one part do you have to pay monthly or no because i have the free membership and if i buy a game will it change it to a paid membership or will it just charge me the price of the game?

  • @Blackheart219 Just charges you for the game, the service is completely free to use.

  • @Saieno86 thanks for the info in one of your other videos you said to add you so i was just about to do that hahaha

  • onlive is like netflix with video games :D

  • onlive is like netflix with video games

  • aww you can't use a 360 controller on a mac? sad face yo, anyway I've been using onlive at work, it's freakin awsome and I'll eventaully sign up for that 10 dollar a month deal but not before talking to atnt about that one year free offer hmmm... we'll see, happy face

  • @HenrydeBeli No you can use a 360 controller on Mac, only in the OnLive program though.

  • I am quite curious about this system as i quite like the steam service and its similar but with no downloads, it comes out in the u.k next month but i have a pretty slow connection where i am so not sure if i will be picking up or not, I love the idea though looks pretty awesome

  • I was so shocked when I first tried this! My computer sucks MISERABLY! OnLive works great for me. Except I have slow internet so the games have very low quality and are blurry, but hey, the games are playing flawlessly so I'm happy.

  • @ianh97 when you say miserable what kind of speed are we talking, just curious because i only have around 2-3 mb/s where i am and i heard you need around 6, I wouldn't be too bothered about the low quality either if the games ran well :)

  • @lloydy187 I have about the same as you. Slow or fast connection, the games run perfectly. Just the screen gets fuzzy sometimes. But it's definitely bearable.

  • I don't get it.So you don't download the game and you get to play it?

  • @poweranger56 Pretty much, just instant gaming. Download it and try it, it's completely free

  • @Saieno86 K,I tried it,pretty cool, this is the future of gaming,if they put better games in the bundle I would pay, such as Dynasty warriors 6,call of duty, medal of honor, etc.

  • @poweranger56 If your familiar with Netflix its similar to that but with games as opposed to movies

  • @TheSaggySammy Yes. Speed is not as important as quality.

  • Haters gonna hate.

  • So let ne get this straight.U don't need to download games u just play them and if u have a crappy labtop/pc u can run good graphic games like splinter cell conviction?Just need a good Internet connection?

  • @EPICGamerZX That would be correct. And you don't even need a super fast connection, just a stable 5Mb connection.

  • I dont understand why people are having performance issues. I guess you just need a steady internet connection. Wired works the best I think. But let me tell you what, I'm using this and playing it on my laptop with INTEL HD GRAPHICS, and Assassins Creed 2 plays on full graphics detail. Im using a WiFi connection at home. This is one of the most awesome technology ever created.

  • can u only get play passes or can u purchase the full game like on steam?

  • @Cheese2Ninja Only playpass's. Steam makes YOU run the game so you can keep it.

  • i tried assassins creed on onlive and its one of the worst of the console ports

  • @Calmarix0069 First off OnLive's version is the PC version. Secondly, there's Assassins Creed 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood, so which did you try? And Third, when you try a demo it runs worse than if you rented/bought the game, this gives the system resource priority to the customers who actually spend money on the service. I can tell you this right now, Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood on OnLive look and play MUCH better than Xbox 360 and PS3.

  • @Saieno86 Hey i never paid yet and tryed most of the demos cuz the quality is not the best, so you sure it looks better if the full game is unlocked? Im waiting till the android app comes out before i start paying for games..the Toshiba tablet(coming soon) + a sported gaming controller

  • wait a minute, so say I have bunch of friends playing, say, Counter Strike on Steam, and if Counter Strike is ever avalible on Onlive, I cannot play with the players on Steam?

  • @0987ggggg Thats right. The reason is because OnLive has Zero Latency Multiplayer, that means that each player when in the game has 0 ping between them, giving you immediate movements and reactions. No other system has this amount of precise online play, and it was give OnLive players an unfair advantage over other players.

  • @0987ggggg So wait a minute if I'm playing COD on PS3, I cannot play with them on Xbox Live!?. Lol this is a different service and hardware just like any other services but much better >.>

  • I hated this service. I had a massive problem with latency issues running on a 16Mbps fiber connection. It might not be that big of a problem for most people, but for those who have ever played games at a higher level can feel the lag in controls, even if it is just very minor.

Then again, AvP had roughly a 50-100ms input delay when I had just one computer on my network running directly into the modem.

  • @kagenooni Doesn't matter how fast your connection is, if your line quality is shit then it'll run horribly. Might want to get it checked out.

  • @Saieno86 even under 100% optimal conditions, there is still going to be a very noticeable 50ms delay between key press and action on the screen

  • @kagenooni Humans perception is at 77 milliseconds, and OnLive sends visual and input information back and forth in under 80ms. If you're using a controller you won't notice, if you're using a mouse you might but its really hard to tell.

  • @Saieno86 I can notice it. I do better with my <1ms polling mouse than a regular desktop mouse (avg polling is 20-40ms)

  • @kagenooni Well the OnLive Controller actually works in micro-seconds instead of milliseconds, so you will do much better with a controller. If you're looking for a PC replacement this isn't it, it's a console with the ability to play anywhere on any device with any control type.

  • @Saieno86 Actually, I'd do worse with a controller... but that is not input speed, its accuracy.

Anyways, when I was thinking about getting the system, I do spend alot of time on the road, and I was looking forward to gaming on my little laptop instead of having to lug around my Dell XPS 17" monster, but I figured that if I cant get a high-spec system hardwired into a modem, how much luck am I going to have with WiFi or whatever else I find on the road?

  • LOL, I live in Louisiana also.

  • Who are you playing unreal tournament with? The onlive community or the PC gamers?

  • @armyevil OnLive Community. Just like with Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, OnLive has its own community because of the uniqueness of their network. Check out my OnLive Latency Test video, and at the end you'll see what I mean.

  • @xFxWilLxFx Sometime later this year is all I know.

  • @xFxWilLxFx I mean the only thing you can do is give it a shot and see if it works. They are trying to get servers up in Europe through BT Communications, but they aren't up yet. If you do connect you might have some latency, because you're connecting to server from 5,000 miles away.

  • @xFxWilLxFx Short answer is yes. They have stated that they hope to have every game on the service for as long as possible, barring any technological limitations 10-20 years from now. In fact Mafia II is only $5 today 4/22/2011 so I would definitely look into buying it!

  • @xFxWilLxFx That's correct. It runs on PC, Mac, iPad, and Android devices. They also have an optional MicroConsole which I did a review on. You can check my channel for the updated review.

  • i already have a ps3 should i get this to go back and forth because my pc is also dying and does anybody play this like for online is there a high player base

  • @hazenpaul10 It's nice to get for gaming in general, but I mean it is completely free so you aren't really losing anything by trying it.

  • ill stick with consoles but cool idea

  • 576p and massive lag? No thanks...

  • @BudzMcgr33n Trolling my videos with your ignorant comments? No thanks...

  • lol you can stalk ppl on the arena

  • they should make it with memory cards so you an keep it for forever!!!!! and

  • Thats what he gets for playing at work

  • To just simplify it out there, OnLive is basically like Netflix / On Demand, but video games "style." Instead of using game discs or waiting for an extreme download as well as in the need of having a high end PC, you can simply just stream games through an internet connection also if you want good quality and such you will need a pretty decent internet connection. This is great, has a lot of potential and I already love it!

  • This is really an amazing concept, but the fact that you don't truly 'own' the game, is a major turn off. If they let you download a copy of the game just for yourself after you buy it, I would probably get this.

  • @SavageArms357 That kind of defeats the purpose. What would you do if you were a Mac user and you bought, for example HomeFront, on OnLive and downloaded it? It would be completely useless to you since its a PC only game. You should really look at the license agreements you make when buying digital and even physical games. You do not OWN the game even if its physically tagible, OnLive is no different than any video game license agreement.

  • @Saieno86 Obviously mac users wouldn't be able to take advantage of that.

And your right, I probably don't truly own some of my physical games. But that being said, I will always have that copy, so I'll still be able to play that game long after support or interest for it has faded.

  • @SavageArms357 Games nowadays always need you to download an update, or connect to an online server, or link the account to EA or Ubisoft, etc. With OnLive I don't have to worry about hardware, updates, or anything like that. Plus since it's completely free I don't actually risk anything in using OnLive. I would try it out for yourself and see how it works for you. I know a friend who bought HomeFront on PC and he was having tons of issues. Got jealous when he saw it on OnLive lol.

  • @Saieno86 That's all true, but if a game required me to be connected to the internet to play it, I'd probably download a crack for it.

However, I can't dispute the hardware problem. In fact just yesterday I was having issues with Fallout 3 because of it, and it took me a good 2 hours to fix.

I think I'll definitely give OnLive a chance thanks to you, as I wasn't aware it was free to try. I suppose this might be an alternative to buying a PS3, which I've really been considering.

  • @Saieno86 Also, I forgot to mention, this is a really informative review. Thanks for the upload!

  • i don't have a clue what is onlive ... can you explain to me what is it exactly ??????????

no clue what so ever ... whats the concept behind this and is it a console ?? or what ???

whats the diffrence between this and pc or gaming console ??

  • @Verification11 OnLive is a Games on Demand service. It's essentially a way to play games on almost any piece of hardware as long as you have an internet connection. The service itself is free, however, you still have to pay for games you wish to play on the service. Now with the OnLive PlayPack you can choose to pay an optional fee of $9.99 a month for, currently, 43 titles with 4 - 6 being added per month. This is cloud gaming. While OnLive is not a console, there is an option Game System.

  • @SavageArms357 yeah I would like to see some means of a user knowing they'd have a means of using a license to a game they pay for permanently. Something like a Steam/Onlive thing would be great, where the option of at least an established platform is there if not downloaded to media.

  • Does the Onlive have multiplayer capabilities?

  • @pyroninja4 Yes, be sure to check out the latency video in my channel.

  • internet connection speeds are completely bottlenecking the entire consumer electronics industry.

  • how fast is your connection

  • Not being able to stream this video of OnLive, I'm pretty sure I need a broadband upgrade. BROADER BANDS PLZ. Although, it's far more likely the router is the bottleneck

    FUCKING ROUTERS

  • @BrJoFilmz I seriously hope you realize that three of the five games you listed are exclusive to Microsoft and Sony. OnLive will be getting HomeFront in March which will be amazing.

  • WTF? Onlive lets you own a game at purchase till 2013?, man thats aload of shit, if I'm going to pay for a game I want to own the motherfucker

  • i have one of these its pretty sweet

  • can you use logitech dualshock pc controller with this? its like a ps2 controller it has 2 bumpers and 2 triggers along with regular four buttons dpad and two anolog sticks

  • what do u mean u own it till 2013

  • @duronjoshua The game stays on the service till at least 2013, that's AT LEAST. They have stated they are fully prepared and anticipate keeping every game available on the service.

  • @Saieno86 what do you mean at least until 2013? you mean when u buy the game you wont own it forever?

  • @duronjoshua The game stays on the service till at least 2013, that's AT LEAST. They have stated they are fully prepared and anticipate keeping every game available on the service for ten to twenty years, or as long as possible.

  • if u buy a game do u have to be online to play it

  • @crich06355 OnLive needs connection all the time. It streams data whilst you play.

  • i would buy this, but i already have all the current gen game consoles, including a sick gaming pc. so theres no point lol. good review man!

  • @ghostspider It's free, there's nothing to 'buy'

  • @Saieno86 i meant the micro console.

  • @ghostspider Ah yeah, the micro-console does cost something, but its not really required to enjoy the service. The value of it is certainly worth it though.

  • @Saieno86 Free? So you dont have to pay for the games?

  • If Onlive wants to succeed, they need to market their service for mostly PC games. Many gamers can afford a refurb 360 for $149. Many dont want to drop a grand to build a good gaming rig. Who gives a crap about playing Lego batman, or Tropico 3, onlive? Puh leeeze. Stream me Crysis 2, Flight Simulator X, Age of Conan, Starcraft 3, Bad Company 2 (on high settings with a smooth framerate), then i'll subscribe to your service.

  • @blastofo woah were do u live? referbed 360's here are 80$ on sale 98$ reg.

  • LOL all the ut3 players aren't play multiplayer

  • Are bioware releasing titles on this?

  • where can u get them ?

  • where ca u get them

  • this shit sucksss no online multiplayer whats the point

  • @skylineTG1 There is Online multiplayer, what the hell are you talking about?

  • @skylineTG1 WTF are you retarded???????

  • I think the PC, XBOX, PLAYSTATION and NINTENDO Fanboys just got teabagged by cloud computing.

  • @conman2317 if cloud computing is a zit faced 12 year old halo geek, then yes, it got teabagged.

  • You can see... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah ^^

  • The idea behind it is fantastic but on my crappy internet connection the games don't play very well - mixture of bad lag and blurry picture. I'll have to try it on a laptop at my university where the internet doesn't fail to get a better impression of it. For now I'll stick to my gaming desktop.

  • Does it have halo reach? O_O I mean,it probably doesnt but ill ask anyway.

  • @donda2111 no

  • @donda2111 It is just starting so probably not now but it does have some good games in the coming soon section. Maybe in the future it will support Halo as it gets bigger

  • Thank the lord it was announced that the service would be for Free X3

  • This thing doesn't even work if you're outside the USA.

  • @genow122 of course it will work

  • If they ever get some online games like black ops (which I doubt would happen) I would get it because I would be going off of the speed from the servers instead of my own internet speed which sucks.

  • @genow122 it'll work just fine, no worries.

  • @Saieno86 um, what about the internet connection? my client stutters A LOT. what should I do? plus, it says I have internet connection problems. :(

  • i dont think they are going to put other game console games becuase companies like nintendo, microsoft, sony will sue but i think other companies like atari and sega will maybe give them all access since they are broke

  • @AssassinAlterYear You have a lot to learn. First off, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are known as 'first-party developers' since they own the hardware they develop games for. 'Second-party developers' create games for one platform but are not owned by them. And 'Third-party developers' create games usually across multiple platforms, these are your EA, Activision, Ubisoft, 2K Games, etc etc

  • I still don't get how this thing works. I mean I know you don't need a top of the line computer to run it but can't you run it through you tv or does it have to plug into a PC?

  • @stewiescool Check the other review in my channel for more info.

  • i have an xbox 360 with live is this worth it??? and also is there a monthly fee for this??? or do u just pay for the games??

  • @Burgee6143 It's worth it, there is no monthly fee, and its great for demoing games, renting, and when the PlayPack comes out it'll be great as well.

  • @Saieno86

So there will be absolutely no fee except for the 100 bucks for the console and to buy the games?? and do u hav to hav a good computer to download the games to or can u just put them on the console?? and what the hell is playpack

  • @Burgee6143 The console is $100, the PC and Mac clients are free. Games are separate though the console comes with a free game. If you have the micro-console you do not need a computer. There are no downloads or installs required, the games just run instantly. You should check out my newest review on my channel, it'll cover the micro-console hardware, the service, and the PlayPack as well. It's worth watching.

  • @Burgee6143

There is no down load at all. The games are never on your system. It's a weird concept to get used to, but it works!

  • @Saieno86

so do i have to have a computer to keep the games on or does the console hav like a hard drive??? and all i hav to pay for is the consle and the games???? and what is playpack??

  • @Burgee6143 I just told you to watch my other review. See my name? Saieno86? Click it, it'll bring you to my channel and you can watch the micro-console review. There is no harddrive, you do not download the games they just play from OnLive. And as I said watch the other review to learn what the playpack is.

  • i kinda want this but i hav an xbox 360 and xbox live is it worth it?

  • @kdd114 It's worth it.

  • They should have call of duty on this

  • Great video. I came here to learn more about it and it looks promising. Not that it's for me or anything but I can see this being an amazing alternative for people who have good internet connections but shitty computers.

  • Its kinda creepy and cool how you can watch people play live. What kind of games are on this??? You can give me a sample of well mentioned games or other games

  • where can i buy it? does it have olde rgames, like timesplitters 3?

  • @NUCLEURDUNG It's free, just check out the main site OnLive, com

  • @NUCLEURDUNG It's free to subscribe, but there aren't many older games like TS:FP

  • yeah, ok, it's alright, but still. xbox360 is better. This is just like a good PC with PC games... You don't have all the games that are on the consoles.

  • @xboxfanaticgabriel Consoles are... Egh, over-rated. You can play better games on a PeeCee.

  • @xboxfanaticgabriel Pc own xbox 360, so i dont get you. Xbox fanboy..

  • why have i never heard of this till today.. and im and hardcore gamer sony and microsoft must have brain washed me

  • @joecrusher1 If you check out my new review it covers the Micro-Console which allows you to play on TV. Video code: addmpwcZ9Uo

  • Wow....And at first i thought this would flop HARD but this looks amazIng!!!!

  • @NeoGameSpark Thanks! I actually have a new updated review being uploaded right now, so expect to see it soon!

  • so it can only play games that dont own by consoles like sony's metal gear solid 4, or microsoft halo, and nintendo super mario bros.

  • @raigekiman Have you ever been able to play Halo on PS3 or Wii? No, because it's owned by Microsoft. OnLive will have its own exclusives as well, just need to give it time to grow.

  • @Saieno86 have they ever given any thought what games will they own exclusive?

  • @raigekiman Well the console just released on December 2nd, I would give them some time for publishers to jump on.

  • @Saieno86 do u think this console could take on nintendo, sony, and microsoft?

  • no Madden nba 2k halo call of duty any good rpgs??? brilliant idea hey! maybe sega should come back this way n with a kick ass controller that's the only competition who has the best remote n no movies!!!!

  • @sincerehiphop Umm...this review is from June. They actually have a lot more titles now, and even more on the way. NBA 2k10 and 2k11 are on the service, as well as MLB 2k10. Halo is owned by Microsoft, Call of Duty sucks, and Madden is still Madden.

  • How many multiplayer games are their for onlive right now?

  • i really like the onlive but theres something that just turns me away from it, does any one know if onlive might start having cool games like mw2 or halo or somethin like that

  • would a 10mbps connection work or will it lag horribly

  • @Traductus5972 Nah you're perfectly fine. OnLive requires 1.5Mb/s minimum, 3Mb/s recommend and 5Mb/s preferred.

  • @Saieno86 hey saieno, I got a few questions. First how can i check out my connection speed u know what mb/s i am or something :D. I live in europe we dont have servers here but i got connected at midnight probably because there werent many ppl playng at that moment. I had a bit of lag when i played and the graphics didint look good, but yeah usa servers, . Oh and do u have any ideal when onlive servers are going to come to europe and are they even going to come.
