  • The freq. knob just sets the freq. that the mid dial adjusts/controls.

  • and can u play your ipod on it?

  • does come in a pair or just one?

  • i've got mackie 1530z - 15" woofers with mids and tweeter, 4ft and 50kg, you think your puppies are big....

  • great video mate.

    well done,

  • these speakers suck so bad. the behringer 215d's hit harder than these!!! they clip nasty after halfway volume!!!!

  • @aornela1 I heared those 215d's and they don't sound great, they are distorted, noisy, and unreliable. Our school's theatre just tossed a Behringer mixer and replaced the whole sound system with Mackies(CFX12, SRM450V2's). "You get what you pay for."

  • I a moble Dj and I love the se speakers. Indoor out door they work great.

  • damn kid. you got some good stuff. haha. i dont even have anything this good. thanks for posting this video. im going to get these speakers

  • There is nothing like getting new gear........ :D

keep it up and take good care of your ears! They are your most important tool as a musician. These speakers are not VERY powerful, but powerful enough for your purpose - and powerful enough to cause permanent damage to your hearing!

  • Hey man, like your video mate. I'm thinking about getting a new set of speakers for my solo acoustic gigs, I'll be putting guitar, vocals, percussion and maybe bass (but I think the bass player might just use his stack amp). Would a set of these speakers be ideal? P.S. will be running them off a Yamaha 01V96 VCM

  • Great Job man!!! well explained! haha

im excited to see someone younger than me getting into this stuff!

  • Hey man awesome speakers. I just blew out my speakers at a gig and need some active 15" speakers. I like the srm 450s but they are very big and heavy. Also looked at the eons. Any sugg?

  • @coldandscared Just get these, they don't cost too much, they're light, loud, crisp and nice and bassy!

  • @coldandscared JBL, EV, behringer, yamaha, bose theyre all good man and they all offer good prices, they all have powered and passive models to =D

  • Awesome :) I'm 14 and I have a wharfedale Titan 12" Active. How do these compare?

  • Hello guys, can me help ? Who is better ? Behinger 215D or Mackie Th15 A ? Thx

  • I am thinking of getting the prx subs.

  • @crankupthevolume1517 I think I might go with the qsc's bu

  • I have 2 behringer b215d's and they sound great. I haven't heard thu thumps yet in person but I'm sure they're great. Thinking about changing and am going to these or the qsc k12s ore jbl prx or the new yamaha poweres series what do you think?s

  • @djgraysoundandmusic For less $ get the thumps, otherwise I'd say the jbls or qscs or even some of the new EV ELX112s, heard those were pretty good. Get what you think sounds the best :)

  • i've been thinking about picking up a pair of these. how many watts rms are they each?

  • wow you know about class d amplifiers im 38 and im not sure why they are class d well done and good luck with your music

  • You awesome kid.. don't worry about those hater...

  • are you using this for home audio or djing?

  • @djtechnotics Yeah- I make $150 a month now but back then it was more just like $10 a month and my parents could have bought my sound system for me but didn't. :( Oh well- I think it feels better when you earn it yourself.

  • Kid don't sweat these fools. Don't let them tell you that speaker is too powerful or you're a slave or any of that BS. Enjoy yourself and have fun and don't listen to the retards of the world. You don't stoop to their ignorance level and say intelligent things back to them. I'm a professional DJ and I play all over Florida at huge events. You will always have clowns who talk smack it's just life. Respect Little dude ! Keep up the good work !

  • Teddy, I'm really impressed with how informative your video was. I was able to research the Mackie Thump using your presentation and made my purchase decision. The salesman who sold me mine gave me a 15 minute presentation and has been in pro audio for 20 years and did about as well as you did in this video. I hope to see more from you as you grow in audio. Good job.

  • respect little man! keep it up! the younger ya start the better

  • hey........ so how long as a slave did you have to work to buy that speaker... oh and nice dental cate!!!!!!! U SLAVE!!!!!!!

  • @DJBASSPRO About a year for me to get the pair of speakers, personally I think my braces are very fashionable as well as a lot of my friends so what's with the normal teeth dude? oh and I have a job now too so I could get them in 4 months instead of 12! :) LOL person who doesn't even have any videos say what???

  • Don't worry about the sub until you have 200 people or more, you can just rent them in when you really need them. Really nice speakers. Keep it up...... If you have any questions feel free to PM me and i will help you out.... I personally use the Mackie SRM450V1. Those are just the new ones that Mackie Created....

  • why has this kid got a single mackie for his room .... overkill...and if he isnt just using it in his room, hes gunna need two... and some subs.

  • @randomblahjoeypie Actually-I'm a dj if you didn't bother to watch the rest of my vids, I've got 2, speakers stands and a full sound system.(NO SUB...YET)

  • @randomblahjoeypie with this speaker there is no need of subs they have plenty and some songs help.

  • @randomblahjoeypie and i'm happy now i have a 3 ways mackies and a two way they will sound great.

  • why has this kid got a single mackie for his room .... overkill

  • why would you want to upgrade to un-powered JBL's?!

  • @smellysocks456 IDK thinking ahead-probably gonna go with the new jbl prx 615s tho cuz they cost the same but they got a 1000W amp inside and weigh 43 lbs!

  • @crankupthevolume1517 JBL PRX615M $799, Thump TH15A $349 ..... hmmm

  • @XiV3NGANC3iX Let's just say that one of these speakers will shake the structure of my house without clipping or distorting!

  • if you like these but want something with twice the power at double the price check out the new JBL PRX 600 Series- super light like this plus 1000W per speaker! just like the old PRX Line except better...

  • Nice video. Could you please tell me how to connect two of these with two passove subs. Do i need a crossover? and what cabbles do i need. thanks

  • @k2u200 Yeah I'll do a video on it! Keep watching my channel...

  • @k2u200 I just uploaded that video- check it out and it'll answer your question, (may take a little while to process)

  • hi nice video. I would be happy if you can tell me how to connect two of these with two passive subs and the cables to be used. thanks, man

  • I picked one up for 350 and I am blown away. It is soooo loud and clear. The 15" subs punches clear crispy basslines. House music never sounded so good. If your thinking about getting a powered speaker this is your best bet. I have it hooked up to my mixer and cdj800's. great for parties

  • Hi! Great video! I am 13 and I DJ. I use a Wharfedale Titan 12".

  • freq is for the passive lows that go to the midbass

  • hey nice vid man. lmao how did u afford one of these!! :p u seem to know ur stuff kid not badd. i Dj and ive been looking at these for a while. they arent badd. ill give them credit they are better than any wharfdales, behringer and the SRM series but still i gotta say if you can get JBL Eons get them, they kill every active 15 out there. i used the eon G2s for years and ill stand by them forever. yes they are a little pricey but they are worth it.

  • @johan7818 Personally after this I'm thinking of going with the JBL MRX 15" cabinets cuz they're light and I can get a light amp like the crown xti 2000 to power em. Those things can take a ton of power and have great reviews too!

  • Thanks for the video dude!! It was great!!, I went to my local music store today (Andertons Music Co. ,Guildford, UK. I saw these and tested them out, pretty damn good! I was still a little confused as there was only a few people in the store so they couldn't give tome to talk to me about them. I got home, watched this video and now my mind is set! I shall be buying a pair of these within the next few weeks (trying to get into DJing, Events e.t.c) Thank you!!

  • @MacAndStuffVideos Thanks-they're great and I love em!

  • the clarity of these speakers are just oustanding.

I did a gig last night running 2 of these plus 2 mackie SW1501 active subs and the sound was crystal clear, even at extremely high volumes. Very impressed with Mackie, dont buy any other speaker!

  • @smellysocks456 I agree! But will eventually upgrade to unpowered jbls-(not for a long long long long time!)

  • very cool !

  • I'm Impressed. How old are you? And you have Mackies! I am 16 nearly 17 I just found these at the Guitar Center so I figured I would look them up. I run 2 Beringer 215A's and 2 GemSound speakers (they are massive, about 200 lbs each) - I have the same Microphone and also play the trumpet haha.

  • @ambroom Thats funny-oh by the way I don't play trumpet, I play clarinet. That was my brothers' case!

  • GOOD SOUND VERY CLEAN!!!!!!!!

  • Ted y didnt u put what u had on the paper as a title?

  • @Boatboy6 Idk didn't feel like it???
