The transmission interface is much smoother for doing this although I'm not sure it does tha barcode scan thing. I use Transdroid instead. Its cool :D

I created a similar program in Python on my desktop computer, which is running the latest version of Ubuntu. I don't have a barcode search feature, which is awesome. But actually weeding through torrent search results to choose which to download is hard to automate, with or without a scanner. I suppose parsing the HTML and grabbing of the top seeded version would be the best solution, without a direct API. The Pirate Bay NEEDS and API.
