Hey PWS, i built my own short pistol ar in 7.62. I went with 10 inches. I used a lot of pws parts like the compensator the bolt and stuff so its very much a franken_diablow. I was wondering if you have any plans on making a 7.62x39 custom lower that allows for the use of an ak mag.
@marktse - Unfortunately - the upper would have to be specific as well as the AK mags are too wide to fit within the confines of the standard A3 upper. We looked into it quite some time ago and there just isn't any way to do it other than building a complete new rifle. (upper and lower).
@PrimaryWeapons i thought mgi made an interchangeably lower that accepts ak mags except its modular and costs over 500 stripped. From what I could gather they use standard upper but a special bolt. I guess its price of keeping the same sized upper receiver, the need for a shorter bolt.
I think short barreled AR's get far too much bad Karma for no reason. People think they're inaccurate and non-lethal. How much barrel do you need to stabilize a 55g bullet? Most would say 16-20 inches, but fact is a 7inch barrel can shoot 1MOA at 100y with multiple weight bullets. To my experience, Wolf isn't inaccurate. My last outing I used Wolf and was able to hit a 24x27inch steel plate every shot @600y using an Eotech. I was surprised to say the least. I thought it was gargabe
what is the difference of your previous DC model with this MK 107? Are they both fully automatic? are you still using VLtor upper reciever on this MK107?
The DC was re-designated the MK1 series to simplify the naming conventions of the product line. Rather than having the Diablo as the 7” and the DCx for the other sizes every model based on the AR15/M4 platform is simply prefaced with the MK1 designation followed by the barrel length. The major difference between the original release of the DC series and the current MK1 series is the enhanced bolt carrier group and a lighter profile gas block. We no longer use the VLTOR uppers.
this is something but you can do a little better because gun websites did the samething with a little better ammo and they shot a 7.5 inch sbr at 535 yards!
i think the point originally was that this thing is retarded accurate, with shitty ammo as well(wolf, blargh, PMC for the win, but still nice to know that it shoots like this with crap ammo!). Dunno if that helps? -- Mfan
Damn, that's actually pretty impressive for an AR firing 556 with that short of barrel. Sold

With a scope and his shots were still 16 inches apart? What a marksman!

@TheBob47 - This video is to demonstrate the effective range for an area target, not a point target – hence the cadence.

what was the deciding factor in no longer using the Vltor upper receiver
brayden5656 1 year ago
@brayden5656
Most likely to build it cheaper but still charge the same price.
The quality has just been lowered on these guns, no doubt about it.
I wish there is a drop in price to reflect that.

Now this is pretty cool. I wonder what barrels/barrel steel/twist they are using?
I'd love to see a PWS piston on a pencil barrel, gas block sizes notwithstanding.

@jebustheone - check out the website - all the info is there. Pencil barrels are in the works.
