For you who must not know, "force= mass x acceleration." A .45 caliber bullet that weighs 230g going 980 fps, has a force of 202,400. Now a 9mm bullet that weighs a mere 124g traveling 1090 fps has a force of 135,160. This is disregarding surface area of the bullet, which is greater with the .45 by 1 .10th of an inch. For those of you who have disregarded common sense, I lay before you mathematical equations and FACTS. poetically speaking suck a dick euro fags

The LUGER is not obsolete! TOO expensive too manufacture and a lot of Germans and officers still favored the Luger ovewr the P-38. No 9mm in the world can handle the chamber pressures a Luger does and it is the fastest cycling 9mm ever made. Apparently you never owned one. And mis-fires 99 percent of the time are due to CHEAP under-powered 9mm rounds or the magazine.
it wasn't really "obsolete"... just too expensive. in 1943 germany stopped producing lugers because of their price. they were high quality guns. it was replaced to save money and for better reliability. the weird toggle action was prone to jam, but soldiers loved the hell out of the gun and cleaned it often. over all, it is superior to the p38.
