Graphics of both systems are similar. Th X360 has a better GPU than the PS3 but the PS3 has a more powerful CPU than X360, as of this, it really depends on how the developers use the hardware. In most cases the 360 version is slightly better or they're the same, and for a minority the PS3 is slightly better. Buying a game just because it won't get scratched seems rather strange, but then, I look after all my game discs ;-)

@48725465128 Actually it is for games. EVERY PS3 game is put onto a Blu-ray because it provides upto 3x as much memory than a HD DvD. That is why Sony are using them. Bigger games with better quality.

When the xbox came out there was still a fight between HD DVD and bluray, so they played it safe with DVD. When the PS3 came out bluray was more popular so it made sense to use it. Back when the xbox first came out it was on the coolest games for people. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were the best (to a majority) on that console. So it spread to the internet and eventually people who are just trying to follow the crowd act like they like at and then it just drags in more people to halo. We have people who just found out about it and like it, then people who pretend so they can be "cool". So when Halo 3 everyone was like OMG, Halo Reach everyone is like OMG ORGASM!!!

Both have excellent exclusives, and which ones are better are a matter of opinion.

That's all well and good, but I think "Call of Duty" is a Real life based Military operations game.
Question: If your in the middle of a battle field... are you honestly going to run out shooting randomly about with a Ak-47 or a "Plasma gun" or w/e the hell that crap they use is, while their is 10s of enemies looking to pop you in the head?
I don't think so. By all means!
Join the military and try it!
Not camping is what would make the game unrealistic really.

@lancevancedance Reach is the best shooter of all time, it has the most impressive engin i ever saw . anything can happen for exemple: being crushed by a debri of a ship you just destroyed.and of cours the campaign is great, there are many others good aspects for the halo serie but the point is that it is not overrated and bungie deserve all the praise for their hard work. it my opinion of cours but dont think im a fanboy for saying that, i still think that the best game of all time is mgs 4

@robby123ism I owned both consoles. btw Neither console "sucks". They actually do much more than they are supposed to do, which gives the consumers more bang for the buck. No gamer in his right mind will say that either console "sucks". My comment was my opinion on the halo series, but i think both consoles are fantastic.

Back when the xbox first came out it was on the coolest games for people. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were the best (to a majority) on that console. So it spread to the internet and eventually people who are just trying to follow the crowd act like they like at and then it just drags in more people to halo. We have people who just found out about it and like it, then people who pretend so they can be "cool". So when Halo 3 everyone was like OMG, Halo Reach everyone is like OMG ORGASM!!!

@lancevancedance I know that alot of people do not like the Halo series because it is "not realistic" but I really think it's a great game. It has a great story behind it. It has pretty cool characters in it. I do notthink it is HIGHLY OVERRATED I accually think people uderrate it when it's not that bad.I accually think that COD is pretty good but I prefer Halo better. So I'm sorry if I'm sounding kinda like a jerk but I do not think Halo is overrated.
