You're singing was fabulous. There is a disgruntled person who posted a stream of negative comments on many of the Opera Night youtube sites. So angry that she hasn't been invited to sing at Opera Night, she decided to criticize singers with a vengeance! Needless to say---she's been blocked!

@operanight I just find it kind of sad that someone is obviously so disgruntled they feel the need to put down everyone else...also whoever it is created a new handle, lol...too much time on their hands for negativity!
just saw the comments, a friend brought it to my attention. it is hard to hear ourselves in that church sometimes, thank you for pointing that out. thank you also for pointing out problems with my pitch...I am a student, so it is something that I'm working on. as singers, we are always striving to be better singers, to improve on our technique, and try out new rep, and Opera Night provides a wonderful arena for us to try out new things, difficult things, and figure out what works.
@beautywithin84 Perhaps if you'd like to offer criticism, you could offer constructive ways to fix things instead of posting what you didn't like. your comments make you seem like a bitter person whose joys come from pointing out the downfalls of others. the singers affiliated with Opera Night and the people who attend all love opera, love the art, and appreciate what we are trying to do. also as singers, we are open to constructive criticism...
@beautywithin84 ...but based on your comments, it doesn't seem like you have anything useful to say. as a good musician, I already knew there were pitch issues in this performance, and we all have bad performances, so I am okay with this. the Italian is hard to hear due to the recording quality and the echo quality of the church. but like I said, I know that, because I am always striving to be better and understand better what I am doing so that I can bring art and passion to people's lives.
@operanight The audience appreciates a live performance for a sawbuck. But the profiteers need to stop touting their little money-makers as the "best", for they're far from it.

So many of operanights's singer have a pitch problem. Perhaps the huge echo inthe church affects their being able to hear themselves.
