  • this is great the timing is spot on..

  • Can you tell me how you got that sound? I'd like to try it on my OBXa. Thanks

  • Wonderful....but makes me blue...

  • @piperman2010 thanks : )

  • WOW! That is just wonderfull! A classic track played with a classic synth!

  • Thanks for your very nice comments!

  • IS THE OBXA VELOCITY SENSITIVE ?

  • The OBX-a is 8 voice polyfonic, bud he has no velocity sensitive.

  • Now there´s a mystery: when the subject re-enters at 1:15 it is doubled with another analog synth and a string pad; at the repetition at 1:40 the other synth drops out but the strings continue. How did you do that, did you trigger something over MIDI and brought it in with a pedal? Wonderful synth and wonderful piece of music, it is truly a hymn and just makes me feel good.

  • Probably has a click and headphones and there may be program changes in another keyboard he is controlling as well.

  • Good question, how did you do that?

  • great job!

OBXa rulez and your OBXa looks pretty nice!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Very nicely done.

  • Thanks for your very nice comments!

  • Great sound and playing !!!

What FX are you using here?

Btw, the OB-X has no Curtis chips, it´s discrete and based on the SEM

  • Thanks for your nice comments!

I used for delay the Roland DEP-5 and for the stereo reveb Sonar 8.

  • I love this song!! I used to play it on a poor sounding Radias.. Your synth is GREAT!

  • love it mate... the patch kinda reminds me of John and Vangelis-I hear you now...

shame more of these wonderful machines arent around anymore... also i wonder how many classics like this are locked away forgotten about

  • amazing pad and great cover

  • Thank you very much!

  • Bueno, gracias por compartir, kaiserwilhelm23

  • Very creative images matched to the Music of this renowned composer 5*++

  • Vangelis is still the greatest composer of electronic music!

  • sounds great

  • Yes, after more than 25 years, the OBX is still amazing to me!

    Thanks for your nice comments!

  • choir choir bases ok

  • OK!

    Thanks for your comments!

  • Joli ! J'aime beaucoup !

    Nice demo !

  • Merci beaucoup!

  • How did you change to the second patch.

How's the double mode work? I like it! It's hard to belive but i can almost get that patch with my ensoniq esp1.

    Cheers...

  • I change the patch's with a foot switch.

Double mode => to different patches sounds at the same time when you play a key.

I think that the esp1 used the same Curtis analog filters as the OBX!

  • Sounds very rich! I've been trying to copy that layered lead sound (somewhere in the middle of this clip) in Zebra2 already... :)

  • Thanks for your nice comments!
