Now there´s a mystery: when the subject re-enters at 1:15 it is doubled with another analog synth and a string pad; at the repetition at 1:40 the other synth drops out but the strings continue. How did you do that, did you trigger something over MIDI and brought it in with a pedal? Wonderful synth and wonderful piece of music, it is truly a hymn and just makes me feel good.
this is great the timing is spot on..

vrembrand 1 year ago

Great sound and playing !!!
What FX are you using here?
Btw, the OB-X has no Curtis chips, it´s discrete and based on the SEM

How did you change to the second patch.
How's the double mode work? I like it! It's hard to belive but i can almost get that patch with my ensoniq esp1.
Cheers...
Dubwise4u 3 years ago
I change the patch's with a foot switch.
Double mode => to different patches sounds at the same time when you play a key.
I think that the esp1 used the same Curtis analog filters as the OBX!

Sounds very rich! I've been trying to copy that layered lead sound (somewhere in the middle of this clip) in Zebra2 already... :)
