hey i play guitar, bass, drums, and the ukulele. i have been wanting to learn how to play cello for a while any suggestions on what a good beginner cello would be? as in brand and what have you. I am not looking to spend a lot of money. any help would be much appreciated!

I never wanted to play the cello but I got orchestra class by accident in 7th grade. I was gonna switch out but i met a cute girl. We became good friends and I ended up liking the cello. In one month the girl and I moved to advanced orchestra after playing for only a few months. I love playing the cello.

If you don't want to commit a lot of time to an instrument than don't play a string instrument. Play something like the piano, or any wind instrument, something you don't have to spend hours just to play in tune.

They accutally sell stickers to put on your cello so you can put your 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th finger on the notes. Also theres a beginner way to hold the bot and the pro way. the pro way maybe hurts the first time but when you get used to it. and the viola has the same notes as the cello

@ringosan8035 well they probably don't want you to play because cellos do cost a LOT of money as do violins (a good cello is around $1,000 - $2,000 to own). but see if you can ask for a rental and a few music lesson; you could rent either for around $20 - $40 a month.
