I really tried getting into Aion, mainly because this trailer is so damn cool. I like tanking in WoW, and it seems like this class would be awesome fun for that. Seriously, you can't get much more awesome than that move that pulls all the enemies to you (suck it, death knights!).
But alas, I've just put far too much time into WoW over the years. I just can't start again with another mmo. Too bad :(

@birsinghar That skill that brings everyone to you have a very long cooldown. And, you can only use it if you have a full divine points bar. Divine points come from 3 things, killing monsters, killing people, and food with 1 hour cooldown. I think its a 1 hour cooldown for the skill, or 1/2 hour, but still no one uses it. Divine points are better used for other much better skills that use them.
@icuh82 u have no ideea what Divine Grasp can do in Siege when they try to tactically fall back and 1 templar go and pull them back to his alliance.. that skill is very usefull in siege's

Whilst Aion is an awesome game it doesn't have the content available at high levels to keep it's PvE players interested, it's too bad because I really liked it.
Templar is the most awesome tank I have ever played as.

@Thedorpli its a stigma skill you get at 40 or 45 or something/ It costs 3K DP to use, and has an hour cooldown. Its called something like Grasping Judgement or something

I play both WoW and Aion, so im not taking sides. Im just speaking the truth about each game. WoW gives you the ability to complete things without depending on others and Aion you need to depend on groups and gear much more. Making WoW an ideal game for people with jobs and families. So i guess Aion is a much better game than WoW if you have the time needed to be on it. I pay for my Aion account still, and havent played in a very long time, but hey ... its my money and all my bills are paid =)
So I guess im saying that in Aion you need a group for 50% of the game, even when questing or you're a target for gankers. You have no choice in the matter. WoW give you a choice to Flag 24/7 by server choice, or to flag when you feel like it and keep your progression going if you dont want to be bothered with pvp. Many will say negative things about this, but i would only expect the truth to only hurt children since they rarely understand it. Not adults.
Aion is ok. I dont know what everyone else is talking about, but i find myself getting bored with wow and bored even faster with Aion. Dont get me wrong. The over all game play with Aion is great., but to say its better than WoW..... thats pushing it. Aion is a game for people who have time to play 24/7. WoW is a game for people who have responsibilites, and by that I mean that at least in WoW, one can play the game without alot of need for groups. Aion is a group and gear dependant game.

When I say "build" I mean that you can choose 2 ways... Be ofensive or defensive... Choose to play for the group, with stigmas that give you more protections and defense or life to you and your group. Or choose to play like an attacker, with stigmas that gives you more damage adn other things...
@PrAmAtHa with this logic, templars being offensive or defensive, that's fail. we stack block an major defense to begin with. we are bred defense, why we are known as the main TANKS. if someone that's a temp wanted to roll "offensive" then they should roll glad. they are built for dps, temps are not.

@Tickelberg is Divine Grasp 4k dp 1 hour cd and its pull a target from 16 and all enemy s around that target on a radius of 20 M :Du can pull many if u know how to use it
The 5 man pull is DP4000 "Divine Grasp" is like the stigma skill "Inescapable Judgment" but you pulls a target with a maximun range of 16m and all the enemies within 20m of the target
@sqeegy666 Aion is indeed a great game. But I have to say I stopped playing at lvl 16, I got so tired of running everywhere. We have wings, but from what I saw I was only able to fly in certain areas, many of the quests I got I found that even after lvl 10 I still had to run...everywhere.

@wolfy1255 If you're worried about your dps, then dont worry about playing as a Tank specific class. As a Tank, you do have 'dps', but your concern should never be about how much damage you're putting out, but rather how much damage you're taking.

nope, aion tanks are way different. in this game the tanks gets the agro by doing a shit load of damage in other words by crits. so in aion tanks must stack physical crit and some hp.parry and so.
@streetking1337 is not such an good build i recommand u stay whit 320 crit from socket rest invest in attack and shield defense.. and when u fight get some crit scrools 90+ ones and there is your 400+ crit rate is a waste of sockets mate + soon u enter in 1,9k block they enemys will block u alot and your dmg reduction from shield will come so often in efffect.Anyway everyone whit his own build.

I have to agree...WOW is dead...for me it was dead the moment it was created since I've never cared to play it.. I dunno why people like talking about it so much and compare it to every other MMORG out there...It should be compared only to games like Runescape and other kiddie types games
the client without any patch is ~9 gb last time I checked, and with all the patches its ~12 gb, but the nc soft patch downloading works very smoothly, i got like 1 mb/sec.
Speaking as a LONG term WoW player (Day after the release of the Classic I began playing) I have began to get bored of WoW, is this a game worth buying as there are no free trials i could try. I wouldn't say the death of WoW, this game has pulled about 1,000,000 players away. But, I have a feeling the cataclysm expansion is going to give Aion some trouble.

so i wanna let my experience to some guy's that will come read this an templar need:
1)they need phy crit rate to 310 is enough rest u get from food+scroll and there u go 420+ phy crit rate is at cap is enough for tank
2) Attack stones ftw!!! is like the more your basic attack is higher the crit will be too si this affect your normal hits+ critical hits
3)block stones on 40+ an 1,5k block is nice but for end game target is 2k+ is in close relationship whit enemy's ACC thats all templar need

3 out of 4 parties fail without tank, yeah ok u can tank with glads in low lvl areas like NTC but later in game temps are a must :P i love em

2 things . . .
1) Aion way better than WoW, its a kickass game to play.
2) TEMPLARS rule out loud! in my opinion, templars are the best aion has to offer!!! ;)

@sqeegy666 Aion is indeed a great game. But I have to say I stopped playing at lvl 16, I got so tired of running everywhere. We have wings, but from what I saw I was only able to fly in certain areas, many of the quests I got I found that even after lvl 10 I still had to run...everywhere.
Did I stop playing too soon? Does it get any better in levels? Being able to fly I mean...

@wolfy1255 If you're worried about your dps, then dont worry about playing as a Tank specific class. As a Tank, you do have 'dps', but your concern should never be about how much damage you're putting out, but rather how much damage you're taking.

Yep, we have shit damage but an assload of hp and defense. but at higher levels are damage shows and people fear us.

yep, only diffrense between Warrior in wow and templar is that templars on aion kind of... rock... when it comes to both pve and pve:P

nope, aion tanks are way different. in this game the tanks gets the agro by doing a shit load of damage in other words by crits. so in aion tanks must stack physical crit and some hp.parry and so.

Than you won't do good in pvp, Unless u have a lot of crit rate. I'm using average gear but i have over 410 crit rate, so i win quite a lot ; )

@streetking1337 is not such an good build i recommand u stay whit 320 crit from socket rest invest in attack and shield defense.. and when u fight get some crit scrools 90+ ones and there is your 400+ crit rate is a waste of sockets mate + soon u enter in 1,9k block they enemys will block u alot and your dmg reduction from shield will come so often in efffect.Anyway everyone whit his own build.

the client without any patch is ~9 gb last time I checked, and with all the patches its ~12 gb, but the nc soft patch downloading works very smoothly, i got like 1 mb/sec.

Speaking as a LONG term WoW player (Day after the release of the Classic I began playing) I have began to get bored of WoW, is this a game worth buying as there are no free trials i could try. Ive read many of reviews all with very different views on the game. Is it worth me buying it or is there a Free Trial soon coming out??

I´m playing wow since release in germany and your absolutely right! it began to get me bored...
yesterday i get the game 39€ and 30 day free.
And i must say, it is awesom! many things remember to WoW but, the graphics and the feeling ingame ist realy exiting! i dont think, that there will be a free trial, but i would invest the mony für 30 days and test it if i were you... its worth!

I just bought Aion and is a lv 10 Templar. I think templar is the funniest class. I was going to be assassin but then I saw that Templar was better and MUCH cooler :D

I wouldn't say the death of WoW, this game has pulled about 1,000,000 players away. But, I have a feeling the cataclysm expansion is going to give Aion some trouble.
