  • :] i love this song,

  • be born from within herself) can only come from herself. Maybe that is why at the end she says "If I could have sunlight, in the palm of your hand, I'd take the moonlight instead." She turns her attention to herself, to be 'selfish' in giving herself the love that she wants, even if she could have all the love that this person could give, she decides... she'd rather love herself and take care of herself. Maybe it was too late for this person, but her love stays in many ways.

    Just my thoughts =)

  • thts truee..

and really deep. i actually had to listen to the song again o actually catch what you were going, but i get it and thats really good, thts a great analysis.

  • I can agree with the last part of your analysis. I always get this image of someone holding a ball of light in their hands, and it represents everything she ever really wanted, but it means her not being true to herself. So she closes his hand over the ball of light and turns away, with the moon in her eyes, reflecting determination for the path she must take, and sadness for what she had to give up.

  • born, because of you. Deep into the sea could be a metaphor for deep into her subconscious. She wants to be fresh, she wants to feel free and renewed, then at the end of the song she sings "I've been looking at the moon, and but I've been thinking of myself. I've got me under my own skin, I don't need nobody else." The moon is commonly seen as a symbol of romance or deep emotions and so she shares that she's realizing that the love she wants and needs (maybe in order for those wandering stars to

  • This is another one of my favorite songs. Here, I'll post what I think it means in response to the video question.

She's obviously singing the song to someone whom she loves, and that love grows stronger for this person, yet in one way or another, she feels like she's losing a piece of herself. Peace of mind, piece of the love that she's giving to this person that she should probably be giving to herself. Maybe she feels that it is not being returned, wandering stars in the blue could not be
