He and his brother Tom were the soul reason that band was as big a success as it was. In just 6 years of collected works, CCR has sold 30 million records.

They sell tickets at $50, too. Their are four lead guys who are famous and play venues by themselves, that and you get a 30 song, 3 hour concert makes it worth wild! Also, they the concerts are high production meaning you get what you pay for, high quality sound, big screens, and lots of music!

@carvinrocks2 That's because classic rock stations are programmed by corporate butt-heads who don't know a damn thing about music. How come they don't play the Velvet Underground? the Stooges? New York Dolls? Lou Reed? Those guys are way more influential than the Eagles. Eagles just made country-rock into something that was watered-down and unexciting.

Personally, if it wasn't for the Eagles, I would not have listened to Gram, The Burritos, Emmylou etc. Before THAT 'Classic-Rock' term was around, the sales state of play always favoured The Eagles to, say, the New York Dolls, and that band, good as they were at the time, were never stable enough to sustain a future anyway, let's face it. You could say Cocaine verses Heroin/speed! Cocaine won out, so to speak.

@altenburg423 Sorry, I just disagree. I don't hate people that like the Eagles. i just can't stand them. I have the same problem with Neil Young. Something about them that just grinds me to the core. My next door neighbor freakin' LOVES them and I really have to watch voicing any opinion around him, I just don't want any bad blood over a stupid rock band with the person in closest proximity to my house.

Actually I do like Eagles a lot. (If you check my other videos you'll find out that I even went at their concert) I simply found this scene funny.

The Eagles make music that is perfect to have on in the background at a party because it doesnt interfere with conversation, or perfect for background music at work as it doesnt interrupt your concentration. Its slick, slight , subdued and doesnt make anybody actually feel anything. It is MOR pap, not country rock and it has neither the overt emotional impact of country nor the sweaty, gritty soul of rock.
