When will people LEARN? Communism has killed millions of peopor yet they still want to have a totalitarian system of government? LAWL they really like being slaves.
@1337wafflezz INSANE GOVERNMENTS and POLITICS have killed millions. Idiots have to learn to separate government from society. Socialized programs create only 1 thing: growing government dependence, both financially and mentally. The people are responsible to act kindly to each other. If the people took care of each other on their own, there would be no apparent need for the government to ignore the rich and steal from the middle class to give to the poor.
The first thing he mentions. "Under capitalist system, health care can be expensive." What he appears to be implying is that because he is now free to pay his own health care expenses, he doesn't like it. Well, my question is, "who paid for it before?" The government? Where does the government get that money? Him, and every other Russian. Plus, since the government controls the care, he has less control over his care. SOCIALISM DOES NOT WORK. WHEN WILL PEOPLE JUST GRIN AND BEAR THE TRUTH?
@PrimarchBlade Slavery always works. It's profitable. Until the slaves ("citizens") figure it out. All forms of society/government that use its force to take from the fruits of the production of the people is a form of slavery. Any group of people that impose their will on other people, for any reason, even if it sounds great, are tyrants. And, I hate how communists think communism works. I also hate how capitalism is always associated with freedom, "democracy," or republican government.
@PrimarchBlade Also, socialism may work, temporarily. But, it is unnatural. At some point its dissonance with the nature of people naturally causes its destruction. Usually from going broke.
@PrimarchBlade People are naturally free. And naturally want to be free. They can't help it. Once they feel the reigns of government too tightly, they will throw it off. You can't change that. This cycle has been repeating in history since the beginning.
@gintherlover Socialized healthcare is working fine up here in Canada. It's one of our national Sacred Cows only because it does work, and it works well.
@davidraye1 Good for you. It is not sustainable. Good luck in the future. It will never work here in the U.S. solely because our fundamental law is based on individual rights to liberty and property and the sovereignty of the people over government. There is no lawful way to force the people here into paying for everyone else's healthcare. Not to mention our government sucks. The only reason healthcare in this country sucks is exactly due to government involvement.
@gintherlover Thanks for the wishes :) I'll assume they're genuine. I do want to point out that universal healthcare is a politically moderate move for modern industrialized nations, and I don't believe the healthcare debate fits well under this video.
I do agree with you in that the United States has hurdles to overcome in terms of healthcare reform. I do not blame this on the cultural values of individual rights and populist sovereignty held in the states..
@davidraye1 Popular sovereignty IS the issue here. The people of the united states of America are sovereigns in their own right. But that means THEY are responsible for all that is happening here in this great experiment. Government sucks? People's fault. Country in the shitter? People's fault. Idiot in office? People's fault. The American people must SOON realize they must straighten this show out.
@EmilioCasavegas The only form of "communism" I know, and the only that actually exist in the real world and not your fantasies, is the one that ends with a Police State Capitalism or Fascist Dictatorship. But always a "people's democracy", nevertheless.
It will always end up like this because of its absolutist authoritarian structure. Only slaves would want to see a Communist party take over.
@EpicFilip Really? Someone doesn't know 20th century European history. Go watch some vids about the Spanish civil war. The rest of what you said is just inflated pretense.
@OriginalSuperJaggy I was reffering to the collapse of communism alone, but if you want to i'll speak for the systems in general.
Communism killed milions; its policies brought death, its requirements to work demanded dissidents to be killed, people that had wealth to be killed, if centralised economical planing failed, people had to day.
How may did capitalism killed and how did they die??
And don't use poor excuses like capitalists did all the wars etc.
@ArcticDemonAD I said that because it was the utterly failed concept of central planned economy that created the famines that ravaged communist countries, notably the Chinese one that killed around 45 million.
But people like you will say : Thats capitalist propaganda!!
It depends on how you define 'worked'. I personally hold that any system which has to stop people from leaving its borders by force should automatically be disqualified.
@casualdissent They wanted to show how awesome communism was!! Those loving people wouldn't like it if their people went back that living hell of capitalism!!
Here is something new that you ought to learn. By exposing the truth about Jews does not make a person a Nazi. For that matter, the truth about Jews had been told officially until 1968, and then it was suppressed. These people are not Nazis. They are Catholics.
The word Nazi is used in the same way as Racism, Racist, and Anti-Semite. These are words that were invented by Jews to suppress all criticism of Jews that are warranted.
Finally, the myth that the Nazis killed people systematically and in the millions is Allied Wartime Propaganda. Jews run with it because it benefits them politically and financially.
The Holocaust Hoax is a good business and a big business. It is called the Holocaust Industry. The word was made by non-else but honest Jews. Yes, the HOLOCAUST INDUSTRY!
Tammy Duckworth, I am glad you lost your legs. It is simply too bad that you weren't killed. You are a filthy Communist, and my family members devoted years to killing Communists just like you and your friends.
"Communism goes against the majority of the people human nature of greed" So love, solidarity, creativity, and companionship is not in human nature, or could it just be, that once children enter the capitalist society it forces change from creative and merry kids to what you call greedy personalities? When the profitmaximizing capital system extorts 3 Billion workers that earn less than $2aday live in poverty, it is not a utopia to protest active inequality, but is a duty to every pure human.☭
What does anyone truly know about anything they havent thought through entirerly? iTS ALL In one way or another capitalism but what is any capitalism?
Oh yes communism did work as far as individual success with regards to education, wealth and job but VERY stagnant.
A way of putting it is like this metaphor:
Capitalism is a plant in a plant pot, when the roots overgrow the pot it is taken out and the roots spread into the ground and all over the place. Growing and being a strong tree.
Communism is a plant in a plant pot, when the roots overgrow the plant the plant remains in the pot and the roots crack through the pot, causing tension.
USSR is bad just because it dared to challenge USA. that was the only communist crime. the fall of USSR is one of the greatest Russian tragedies. wealth that was built by the people !! suddenly !! became private property of a few individuals.now look at what USA is doing all over the globe. its just like nazi germany but without the rush. look at worsening employment conditions in the west. if USSR was still around i bet USA would be much more careful.
@funb0t Its surely not any majority of the American people, we didnt vote for being the same Romans. Most if not all persons are way far out on the branches within any concepts within whats truly going on within the world of materialism with all its symbolic question marks within defining anything consistent or absolute.
@DrFruedienslip i know what youre saying man. nobody is blaming the American people. its the deceptive government with its own agenda thats the problem here. just listen to what JFK had to say about that... and he paid for what he said with his life. i wish the government of the USA consisted of people like JFK. i think communism is the way to go but i like any government that cares about its people (that means doing what its supposed to do)
@Mrinstantinduction Indeed. And the closest to a communist state was The People's Republic of China during the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution.
@TheLoyalOfficer haha oh and capitalism does kill off people systematically? The Iraq war was a war for oil and profit, therefore a war in the name of capitalism. More than a million iraqi civilians died since we invaded. So dont act like capitalism does not have blood on its hands. moron.
@235RB Pfft - a million? Give me a break. Where did you get that bullshit stat from? Mother Jones? It's more like 100,000.
In any case, commies wipe out FAR more of their OWN people for NOTHING. Look at Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. And I know what you are going to say: "they weren't real commies." Of course they were! Mass murder and injustice is the food and drink of communism.
@TheLoyalOfficer umm that "bullshit stat" comes from the U.N, you dumbass. goes to show you dont even know much about Americas history. Stop drinking the cool aid. Thats because those examples turned into dictatorships, and in theory they were not communists, You also know little about communism. Communism is in real practice not suppose to have a statehood, its classless and the people decide. So, there really never has been a prime example of communism, read up on your history.
@235RB Ah, the UN! Yeah, like I said, Mother Jones! Talk about dumbasses. Give me a break. The UN pulled out of Iraq in 2003.
Not that I supported the invasion, but you don't know shit. Communism is just a leftie wet dream. You tools drone on about how those mass murderers "don't belong to you" and "never been a prime example". Yeah - exactly - that's because it's IMPOSSIBLE.
@TheLoyalOfficer umm ok. what does the UN pulling out of the Iraq war have to do with stats? lol. Maybe they pulled out because they realised a lot sooner than most, that it was all fubar. Communism is just a leftie wet dream? Im pretty sure there have been many revolutions where communism was the prevailing system. You are an ignorant person, thats why you rely on cheap insults. your simply wrong.
Does 1989 and the Berlin Wall mean ANYTHING to you? How about 1991? How about the fall of Maoism in the late 1970s? How about Stalin? The murderous Lenin? The Stasi?
None of those events mean anything to you?
I could go on and on. But you don't want to hear the facts, you just want to masturbate to your pictures of Marx.
@TheLoyalOfficer haha, those examples are of what communism was't supposed to turn into. a dictatorship! Communism is supposed to be stateless, the people then decide, not a politician.
I could list shit for capitalism. 2011, the people want taxes raised on the wealthy, their representitives wont do it! We have corporate facism in this country, like it or not. Banks get bailed out people get sold out, thats fucking facism. Communism may have failed, but capitalims looks like crap right now.
How exactly is the United States following the footsteps of Nazi Germany? That's incredibly irrational. Compare an economic situation you don't approve of, to the biggest ethnic clensing genocide in history... well ok, if it helps to convince those you're brainwashing to follow your ideology I guess.
@spfinc1212 Whether communism, in a constantly progressing liberal environment, is a logical end result, is up for debate, however in this current day and age you need an authoritarian government to carry out communist policies, to force people not to utlize the free market, which has always turned into an nightmarish terror of supression and paranoia. Now, for that on worldwide basis, it requires more force. Communism might sound nice on paper, but it's not nice in practice. It's deadly.
Its not called Communism..........ITS CALLED communal - ism. I live in America and people here do not understand Community, people donot work together in America. Maybe in the 1950's an American would be able to name all the people that lived on their street, and know them face to face....maybe its population increase but Most americans dont know who lives next door to them anymore in most parts of the U.S. or at least not as well as people in the past knew their neighbors. live free or die
Free markets are literally the only way to have freedom. Any society that requires that there be a state will inherently lose freedom. In communism, this occurs even quicker. Imagine living in a communist society and deciding you want to have free trade. It is not allowed. Now imagine a free market system and you decide you want to live in a commune...GO FOR IT! Nothing will stop you from doing so. The state itself is force and thus infringes upon freedom. Anarchism and Free Markets!
@michaelwuzthere You do realize in a free market system, you could start your own business with ease? There would be no ridiculous regulations, there would be no taxes to pay...if you wanted to pop up a tent and sell beer on any street corner you could. You would have every opportunity to "not be a slave" or a wage slave. You should really try to understand what free markets are about...there can be no monopoly in a true free market.
@munkyusm No, it's bullshit and it creates a pathetic existence for humanity. Capitalism inevitably leads to monopoly and oligarchy, this is the very nature of the system. It destroys the natural environment and divides people based on their capital value. In a system based on private ownership of land and establishments, there must be haves and have-nots. People's opportunities are determined largely by the wealth of their families, not by their own potential. It's unjust and inhuman.
@michaelwuzthere Capitalism without a state simply does not lead to monopoly or oligarchy. The state is the problem...not an economic philosophy. Anarchy is the path to freedom, not begging a state to give you freedom.
@munkyusm If you chose the corporations over a democratic state, then you chose slavery.
Human nature is to work together. That is why monopoly and oligarchy are inevitable in capitalism - the elites will work together to control the rest of the human population: the consumers. Advocating anarchy and maintaining competitive capitalism rather than democracy and co-operative socialism is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard.
@munkyusm The state in its current form is not good, being that it is not of, by and for the people. The current state represents only those who can afford to lobby it. What people need in order to be free is the expansion of democracy - in both government and economics - a system in which each individual's voice has equal value. As time progresses and humanity becomes fully educated and confident in its ability, a state will be no longer necessary. Until such a time, a new state is necessary.
@michaelwuzthere So you think if we could all vote then everything would be better. What if 90% of the country is straight and through democracy they vote to ban gay conduct of any kind. Is that okay in a democracy? Is it okay for 99% of the population to vote to take the land from 1% of the population? Democracy is absolute bullshit. Majority rules, even if they're wrong.
@munkyusm That is not a democracy, that is a mob dictatorship. In a democracy, there will be laws and tolerance and open discussion of opinions and views. And if you honestly think that such a circumstance remotely similar to that would happen in a socially conscious society, you would delusional. A democracy works in matters of public interest, not private intrusiveness.
@michaelwuzthere It happens every day right now with democracy - the majority cares about the poor, so instead of donating money to charities to help the poor, they vote to force everyone by gun point to give up money to help them equally.
@munkyusm I've never seen anyone put at gun point to give up money to the poor, although there are a few people in this world which I whom I would very much like to see put in that position. And no, the current government is not a democracy and does not spend money to help the poor as much as it spends money to kill the poor by putting their children in uniforms and sending them to foreign countries armed with guns. The only way to eliminate poverty is to eliminate the system that enables it.
@michaelwuzthere "i've never seen anyone put at gun point to give up money to the poor" - What do you call taxation? I have no choice to not pay it. If I do not pay it, i will be arrested...at gun point. This is the initiation of force and it is evil, and if you support this, then you are evil. On the other point...i agree, the only way to eliminate poverty is to eliminate the system that enables it. Name a state or nation that has not formed a hierarchy where there is massive poverty?
@munkyusm I agree that progressive taxation is not beneficial to the rich in a capitalist society. However, its necessity is what shows the fatal flaw of capitalism - disregard for the community. If you want capitalism without taxation, then the infrastructure for capitalism will fail and the entire capitalist system will crumble. A system based on selfishness and competition over community and cooperation is doomed to fail. Which is precisely why it's falling so hard now.
@michaelwuzthere You are completely incorrect. You are viewing what you see around you as capitalism. IT IS NOT CAPITALISM. In every aspect of the economy, government force and coercion is at play. This is not free market capitalism! You marxists have convinced yourself that business greed is the problem, no it's a monopolization of power from the state. When business and government join hands, all bets are off. The state is the problem, not business.
@michaelwuzthere "A corporation is a legal entity that is created under the laws of a state designed to establish the entity as a separate legal entity having its own privileges and liabilities distinct from those of its members."
By that definition...how in God's name can a corporation exist without a state????
@munkyusm The corporations exist now. If you eliminate the state and keep the corporations, you are essentially letting loose the corporations to ravage nature and the consumer population.
@michaelwuzthere No, if you remove the state, corporations collapse. There is literally no way a corporation could compete without patent laws. There is literally no way a corporation could compete with the little guy if neither had to pay taxes. The little guy is currently taxed far beyond what a corporation is taxed. Corporations love regulations - they can hire armies of lawyers to find the loopholes and break through the regulation while the little guy can not. This creates inequality.
@munkyusm I don't know what planet you're living on, but claiming that the poor are taxed more than corporations is a flat out lie. And claiming that corporations love regulations is quite laughable. I guess Wall Street was just confused when they infiltrated the government to destroy financial regulation. You must have a very warped view on things.
@michaelwuzthere Well, I can clearly tell you're firmly convinced that the state is the answer to your solutions even though every bit of empirical evidence says otherwise. It's been fun talking with you, but just remember this. Taxation - The initiation of force to take property from one group and give that money to another group. This is theft, and it is immoral.
@michaelwuzthere Sigh...you really need to read a lot of stuff on the subject to understand that the reason these people have this is directly because of the state. Without the state, wealth would not be so unevenly distributed. Many things with communism I love...but the one thing I don't like about communism is that it involves a central government to force people to NOT own property. In a free society, you do what you choose. In communist society or this society, you do what you are told.
@munkyusm You're very misled, and somewhat delusional, if you seriously believe that anarchy means that the rich elites will magically become compassionate and share the wealth with the rest of society.
@michaelwuzthere It has nothing to do with magic...it's economic law. You're not even delusional, you're simply uneducated. Through all of your research into marxist ideas...how much time did you really spend understanding how a true free market functions?
@munkyusm Marxism, particularly Das Kapital, is the study of market functions, and is as law establishing in economics as is Darwinism in biology. I really have no way to help you see simple truths in the world, except only telling you that if you lift all regulations on corporations and rich elites and expect them to then give the wealth out to the working class, that is just not going to happen.
Whenever someone describes himself as a "soldier", whether he's communist/christian/muslim/capitalist that puts me off. That suggests to me he'll accept violence as a means to spread his ideology and that is very wrong.
@AtheismCentral "Only way"? I guess you forget that the OCTOBER REVOLUTION happened with minimal bloodshed. Or did LEON TROTSKY misinform me? I understand well enough that reformists can't/wont make the revolution happen, but violence isn't the sole eliment of Communism. You want to rule through force? Go fascist.
@hareega You are a coward. Soldier is someone who is ready to die for a thing. And if he describes as a soldier of an ideology he is ready to die for it. Not like you liberal capitalist pigs who are cowards.
@hareega Its more like this-a true soldier practices extreme restraint, because we dont back down from violence, we may be more likely to get sucked into it.A true American Soldier, with understanding of our past and the constitution, will do nothing but protect. Waging war is not the choice of the soldier, but there are certain circumstances in which a soldier will do what he/she has to do.And why spread one ideology? We want freedom, and so extend it to others. any other type is a mercenary.
@hareega violence is part of life. dont be so naive, the way a normal system functions is violent. nature is violent. life is violent. gandhi may not have taken up a gun, but he did massive upheaval and social violence by ripping apart the British colonial system, and he was fully justified.
when a child is starving on the street, and you ignore her, that is violent. when you fight for the people, and universal liberation, that is much less violent than letting things go on like this.
Actually, Communism is a good ideology for bringing peace and easy live with no poor, less crime , high morale and ethical citizens...Unfortunately, peoples such as Lenin, Stalin, Mao ze dong, Kim ill sung, Kim jung ill, Pol pot and many of the evil dictators which utilize the word and idealistic of 'Communism' just to fulfill their owwn selfishness in terms of political result !!
Communism is the ideology of the sorriest class of humans the world has ever produced: LOSERS, and they don't want equal distribution of wealth since communism doesn't create wealth, they want the equal distribution of poverty and misery, their revenge on everyone else for their cowardly, lazy, useless, faithless, vain existence.
The problem with communism is it reduce freedom by trying to create the utopian society of equals forcefully. And humans like most animals like freedom than wealth. But we also needs a system which take care of poor and underprivileged and some sort of level playing field. That's when socialist (not communist) ideas come into play. Communism is nothing but and economic political version of social hatred. That's why so many died just to implement communism which was dubbed as "revolution"!
As Chairman Mao rightly said, the final victory of socialism (and its progression to "pure communism") was going to require several revolutions - the implication being that revolution would be pushed back by counter-revolution several times over, before final victory was achieved.
We're currently witnessing the resurrection of revolutionary-socialism throughout the world.
reduction efforts and those nations like America that provide little or no welfare have seen the devastating consequencies of epidemic crime rates that are unseen in any Western nation that has chosen even a mixed economy of socio- capitalism and socialism. Socialism also, outlaws corrupt practices such as stock market short selling, interest rates, currency valuation connected to productivity instead of inflation which, like interest is no more than legalized theift and a innovation killer.
I agree with some people's viewthat Communism in its rawest Utopian form is not natural thats correct, but Capitalism and Corporatism are far from natural, they also, remove us from nature and place us in squaller and concrete jungles of dog eat dog world. Socialism was decent and brought us housing for the homeless while Capitalists said the homeless are naturally lazy which, is untrue. Socialism gave us Welfare for the disabled and unemployed on hard times, studies show this is good in crime
@CSmoCC Agreed. Here's my stance on this stuff...I don't think any raw form of either philosophy is natural and I think no matter how communist, or how capitalist a society becomes or tries to become there will always be elements of both in every human being and in every group of human being. The reason I am a socialist is not because I think it's the natural state of human society, it's because I think it's the best form of economic justice that a society can have.
Americans support Corporatism the most rotten and corrupted form of Capitalism yet they dont get they live daily under the joys of socialism, Socialism brought the US and all nations; Trade Unions, Labour Movements, Minimum Waging, Workers Rights, with exception to the USA it brought universal health care where private companies are forbidden from profitting of health care since this is not medically in the best interest of patients. Socialism helped to revive agriculture when capitalits harm it
1 step behind Communism. Us Socialist see a place for limited private companies solely as means to prevent mass unemployment and to exploit is capital creation. Socialism promotes a classless society while, accepting a form of State must remain, Communits want both gone like Anarchists. I am an Eco Socialist opposed to majority of Marxism, who has been certified a qualified expert on all social matters including theories therein and Radical Economics and Criminology are prevelant that is Marxism
Those cappies and commies who try to liken Communism and Socialism are low intelligent and have no knowledge of these political concepts. I am a Social Scientist and im Socialist, but I oppose Marxist Communism. Socialism and Communism have differences these include; Communism being anti religion while, Socialism is not aanti religious. Communists want 100% communal ownership, while Socialist see this as economic stupidity. Even Karl Marx said it Socialism is 1 step after Capitalism and
@CSmoCC Hey man it's great to hear the input from someone so qualified. If only you could help hotfudgemoney understand lol. None of my comments are getting through to him lol. Glad to see another socialist in the clan.
I Have Respect For Russians,But I Am Saying That B4 Revolution Rus Was Just Another European Peasent Economy & Hence Forgettin The Party And The People Who Made Your Country Lead In Space Science,Weapons And All Shouldn't Forget Your Socialist Past And Praying And Working As Slaves For Oligharcs And Patriarch Kirill(Oligarch No.1)
@hotfudgemoney Actually, 97% of human history has comprised of communist societies. Read up on sociological statistics, my friend. You'll find them quite interesting.
@sbalusu94 Ummm.. That's a biased statistic, get that shit out of here. If you want to call the cycle every society through history has gone through in which they begin with little to no regulation, and the framework for the society is lain, prosperity is abound.... Early Chinese Civilizations, South American, as well as Egypt. All of these civilizations eventually enacted laws governing relationships between people for "the greater good" and you know what happened? Soon after, they all went
@sbalusu94 stagnant or collapsed. Now this didn't happen over night of course but if THAT'S what you want to call Communism... sad. More importantly... Humans in the event that society does not exist ARE COLLECTIVISTS. You might misinterpret that as Communists, perhaps, but it's not. Collectivism does NOT equate with an ideology developed only in the 1800s. Communism is a joke... end of story.
@hotfudgemoney Right...I myself don't agree with communism, it's just a misconception when people think it's an idea that has never happened. I don't think it's a very practical idea to have a communist society either.
@hotfudgemoney Yes they were collectivists and they were also communists because everything that was collected by hunting/crop gathering was shared roughly equally with everyone in society. There was no private property either nor was there any formal government. It was basically a form of council communism.
Wooooo the government needs to control me and everyone else because we're all inept, please communism show me the light, i need to be subsidized and handed the things i need to survive.
@hotfudgemoney Actually Communism is the elimination of a formal government and the enactment of a grassroots democracy extended to all spheres of society. Today, Communists and socialists are thought as one and the same, but they're very different. Socialism requires government control while enforcing economic justice, while communism does not require a formal government.
@sbalusu94 Communism is a made up philosophy that requires humans to go against nature on a scale so massive, it will never be achieved, you're dreaming. Communism is the dictatorship of the proletariat... no one can own the means of property so without some form of ruling body, government, whatever you wish to call it how do you make it communism and not "fuck you that's mine"? Good luck explaining that one. Socialism does NOT require government control, I don't know where you get that.
@hotfudgemoney The only kind of socialism that does not require government power (and I'm actually a socialist so in no way am I trying to say this negatively) is anarcho-socialism, libertarian socialism, and communism, which are all the same thing. And yes I agree that the implementation of communism is impossible and it is also impossible to sustain it even if does get implemented. That's why I'm not a communist. I'm a socialist.
Communism is not the dictatorship of the proletariat. Here are the steps according to marx (roughly laid out): 1) Revolution 2) Dictatorship of the Proletariat 3) Socialism with a strong government 4) The elimination of government and the establishing of a grassroots democracy with socialist economics, which he referred to as "communist"
@sbalusu94 Socialism with a strong government. Weren't you just preaching that the government didn't fully embrace Communism and that was the cause of the failure? What are the consequences of giving a strong government to people who don't fully embrace Communism? Dictatorship? What are the chances that someone in that position actually supports sharing everything?
@hotfudgemoney A democratically elected government with a strong legislative assembly and powerful impeachment policies would work fine with a socialist economy.
@sbalusu94 Really? Isn't that pretty much the goal of every government? Does it work here? What're your grievances with the way our electoral system works? Strong legislative assembly? So you want the legislative branch to have more power? You want them to be decisive and make reasonable decisions in a reasonable time frame? Powerful impeachment policies? How would you propose improving upon our own impeachment policies, since Socialism would work better if they themselves were better?
@hotfudgemoney There needs to be an economic council that makes central plans every so often and the legislative assembly which only includes a house of reps needs to approve of those plans to put them into effect. Then, the plans go into effect. The judicial system of the government needs to be very powerful, having the power to immediately impeach a president who breaks fundamental rules of the socialist consitution (a new consititution.) And an efficient removal of a pres that abuses power.
@hotfudgemoney The econ council would be the 4th branch of government and the 5th branch would be an emergency distribution council. My grievance with our current government is that the economy is not managed in an efficient way. This government would have a complex system of checks and balances. the legislative branch only makes politices like healthcare and military operations. Basically congress has less power. And their main power becomes the power to impeach specifically anyone in the other
@sbalusu94 The economy is not managed in an efficient way? How would you suppose we manage it? I suppose everyone manages their own personal finances, how bout that? But since you wanna organize my money too... How much to I start with? How much does it cost to pass go? What company gets to use this land? How is that decided? Why not this company? What about favoritism? The legislative branch makes decisions about health care? That's an economic issue too... How are you paying for it?
@hotfudgemoney No our current economy is not managed in a fair way and nor is it efficient, as can be concluded from the financial collapse that occured in recent years. You start with the amount of money that you get your first of working at your job minus the taxes.entitlement programs would be payed for by taxes. Healthcare would be handled by a single-payer system. A company can land as long as it buys it from land owners. Everyone manages their personal finances after taxes.
@sbalusu94 Buys it from the landowners? There are no landowners chief... This is Communism we're talking. Everyone manages their personal finances after taxes? Well then that's not really managing my own finances, now is it? Economies are meant to be managed, that's the problem. The "managing" of the American economy is what caused the collapse.
@hotfudgemoney There are landowners. Do you remember that we're talking about Socialism not Communism? Didn't I say 100 times that I was a socialist not a communist? And no the economy collapsed because of rich capitalists that were arrogant and made stupid investments and sold bad loans. And now those same people who got screwed over are begging the gov. to give them bailouts.
@hotfudgemoney There are many types of socialist societies. The society I propose still has private property with respect to land. It's still socialist because of the central planning, the distribution, and the entitlements.
@sbalusu94 The key aspect of Socialism is NO private property. Mixed democracies are not socialism. Central planning does not work. How do you expect to manage surpluses and shortages? How do you account for everyone? What do you not understand that entitlement programs cannot sustain themselves. Social Security was meant to be temporary. These sort of programs try to undercut the actual cost of things and they fail, just like the way the banks were being under cut by the Fed.
@hotfudgemoney The gov would account for everyone by having local, community parliaments and other government figures from each community report to them to make sure things are keeping up with the plan. Social Security actually has a balanced budget right now. It's Medicare that's in trouble. The way you fix the lack of money going through entitlements is by increasing taxes on the wealthy to create more revenue and to cut out inefficiencies in the entitlement system itself.
@sbalusu94 Social Security only has a balanced budget, because that factors me paying for old people, and young people paying for me when I'm old. I want to save my own fucking money, how bout that?
@hotfudgemoney There are many people that cannot afford to save their own money, therefore creating a government system that supplies people is the best for society as a whole.
@hotfudgemoney I understand what you mean. Here're the two situations: 1) Have everyone manage their own finances for retirement/emergency money and have a lot of people that work at jobs that don't pay them enough to save just die. 2) Have everyone pay into the system (which pisses some people off because it takes their money) but everyone's lives are saved and those who can't afford to save are not left in the streets to die. From a purely utilitarian perspective, you save more lives with #2.
@hotfudgemoney You're assuming that everyone (extending the discussion to all entitlements) that doesn't have enough money saved for emergencies or retirement is in that situation because they were irresponsible. But there are plenty of people that had jobs that didn't pay them enough for them to adequately save. That's why we need entitlements. It's unethical to just leave those people to die.
@hotfudgemoney Call it what you want if you don't want to call it socialism. Well first of all, in this society, it is illegal to have more than 2 kids. If there is someone that has more than 2 because of reasons out of their hands (such as the possibility of triplets), that is okay. However, if it is because of irresponsible behavior, they face consequences but their kids are taken care of by foster parents in the meantime. In each local community, there will be a small department that keeps
@hotfudgemoney track of everyone that is married, how many kids they have, and their purchase of birth control. Also, the government has a local department in each community that takes a count of all the people there. This will overall work, because if you have 2 kids for every set of 2 parents, it is easy to predict the population. That's how you account for everyone.
@hotfudgemoney If we have surpluses the surpluses are taken by the government and stored for emergency use, so that people aren't encouraged to lie about their actual needs just to get the government to get factories to produce more. If there is a shortage, the government will buy the appropriate number of goods from overseas with it's Emergency Distribution Council.
@hotfudgemoney Everyone needs Social Security. It needs to be permanent. In a free-market economy, the biggest weakness is that it creates a wide degree of fluctuation. There's no way to keep track or even predict the future of the cycle properly. That's why even Alan Greenspan, the guy with a Ph.D. in Econ made a terrible decision on how to help the markets. So without Social Security, the amount you think is needed to save each year may not be enough when it comes down to it
@hotfudgemoney because the market might just fluctuate enough to make whatever you accounted for not enough in terms of saved money. This is why people need social security and government help instead of just "oh I'll save my own money because I know how the market will be in the future"
@hotfudgemoney The only reason why entitlements seem to "not be enough for each person sometimes" is because this country has no way of controlling it's population. We need to have population laws so that the amount we put into entitlements is enough when people need to take money from it and so that there is a way to plan how much we need to put in. Just think about how much the baby-boomers are screwing us over because people many generations ago were irresponsible and had too many kids.
Why did google put an Obama ad on this vid? Is it random or on purpose?

When will people LEARN? Communism has killed millions of peopor yet they still want to have a totalitarian system of government? LAWL they really like being slaves.
1337wafflezz 2 days ago
@1337wafflezz INSANE GOVERNMENTS and POLITICS have killed millions. Idiots have to learn to separate government from society. Socialized programs create only 1 thing: growing government dependence, both financially and mentally. The people are responsible to act kindly to each other. If the people took care of each other on their own, there would be no apparent need for the government to ignore the rich and steal from the middle class to give to the poor.
gintherlover 1 day ago
The first thing he mentions. "Under capitalist system, health care can be expensive." What he appears to be implying is that because he is now free to pay his own health care expenses, he doesn't like it. Well, my question is, "who paid for it before?" The government? Where does the government get that money? Him, and every other Russian. Plus, since the government controls the care, he has less control over his care. SOCIALISM DOES NOT WORK. WHEN WILL PEOPLE JUST GRIN AND BEAR THE TRUTH?

PrimarchBlade 2 weeks ago
@PrimarchBlade Slavery always works. It's profitable. Until the slaves ("citizens") figure it out. All forms of society/government that use its force to take from the fruits of the production of the people is a form of slavery. Any group of people that impose their will on other people, for any reason, even if it sounds great, are tyrants. And, I hate how communists think communism works. I also hate how capitalism is always associated with freedom, "democracy," or republican government.
gintherlover 2 weeks ago
@PrimarchBlade Also, socialism may work, temporarily. But, it is unnatural. At some point its dissonance with the nature of people naturally causes its destruction. Usually from going broke.
gintherlover 2 weeks ago
@PrimarchBlade People are naturally free. And naturally want to be free. They can't help it. Once they feel the reigns of government too tightly, they will throw it off. You can't change that. This cycle has been repeating in history since the beginning.

davidraye1 1 week ago
@davidraye1 Good for you. It is not sustainable. Good luck in the future. It will never work here in the U.S. solely because our fundamental law is based on individual rights to liberty and property and the sovereignty of the people over government. There is no lawful way to force the people here into paying for everyone else's healthcare. Not to mention our government sucks. The only reason healthcare in this country sucks is exactly due to government involvement.
gintherlover 1 day ago
@gintherlover Thanks for the wishes :) I'll assume they're genuine. I do want to point out that universal healthcare is a politically moderate move for modern industrialized nations, and I don't believe the healthcare debate fits well under this video.
I do agree with you in that the United States has hurdles to overcome in terms of healthcare reform. I do not blame this on the cultural values of individual rights and populist sovereignty held in the states..
davidraye1 1 day ago
@davidraye1 Popular sovereignty IS the issue here. The people of the united states of America are sovereigns in their own right. But that means THEY are responsible for all that is happening here in this great experiment. Government sucks? People's fault. Country in the shitter? People's fault. Idiot in office? People's fault. “Till heart’s bewitched, till senses reel:
With Satan I have struck my deal. He chalks the signs, beats time for me, I play the death march fast and free.

And then sink down to utter nothingness,
Perished, with no existence — that would be really living!

The word Nazi is used in the same way as Racism, Racist, and Anti-Semite. These are words that were invented by Jews to suppress all criticism of Jews that are warranted.

Anarchism and Free Markets!
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm no. we don't want to be slaves to whoever ends up the most powerful in the laissez fair monopolisation.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere You do realize in a free market system, you could start your own business with ease? There would be no ridiculous regulations, there would be no taxes to pay...if you wanted to pop up a tent and sell beer on any street corner you could. You would have every opportunity to "not be a slave" or a wage slave. You should really try to understand what free markets are about...there can be no monopoly in a true free market.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm No, it's bullshit and it creates a pathetic existence for humanity. Capitalism inevitably leads to monopoly and oligarchy, this is the very nature of the system. It destroys the natural environment and divides people based on their capital value. In a system based on private ownership of land and establishments, there must be haves and have-nots. People's opportunities are determined largely by the wealth of their families, not by their own potential. It's unjust and inhuman.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere Capitalism without a state simply does not lead to monopoly or oligarchy. The state is the problem...not an economic philosophy. Anarchy is the path to freedom, not begging a state to give you freedom.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm If you chose the corporations over a democratic state, then you chose slavery.
Human nature is to work together. That is why monopoly and oligarchy are inevitable in capitalism - the elites will work together to control the rest of the human population: the consumers. Advocating anarchy and maintaining competitive capitalism rather than democracy and co-operative socialism is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere I'm confused, so you think the state is inherently good?
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm The state in its current form is not good, being that it is not of, by and for the people. The current state represents only those who can afford to lobby it. What people need in order to be free is the expansion of democracy - in both government and economics - a system in which each individual's voice has equal value. As time progresses and humanity becomes fully educated and confident in its ability, a state will be no longer necessary. Until such a time, a new state is necessary.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere So you think if we could all vote then everything would be better. What if 90% of the country is straight and through democracy they vote to ban gay conduct of any kind. Is that okay in a democracy? Is it okay for 99% of the population to vote to take the land from 1% of the population? Democracy is absolute bullshit. Majority rules, even if they're wrong.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm That is not a democracy, that is a mob dictatorship. In a democracy, there will be laws and tolerance and open discussion of opinions and views. And if you honestly think that such a circumstance remotely similar to that would happen in a socially conscious society, you would delusional. A democracy works in matters of public interest, not private intrusiveness.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere It happens every day right now with democracy - the majority cares about the poor, so instead of donating money to charities to help the poor, they vote to force everyone by gun point to give up money to help them equally.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm I've never seen anyone put at gun point to give up money to the poor, although there are a few people in this world which I whom I would very much like to see put in that position. And no, the current government is not a democracy and does not spend money to help the poor as much as it spends money to kill the poor by putting their children in uniforms and sending them to foreign countries armed with guns. The only way to eliminate poverty is to eliminate the system that enables it.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere "i've never seen anyone put at gun point to give up money to the poor" - What do you call taxation? I have no choice to not pay it. If I do not pay it, i will be arrested...at gun point. This is the initiation of force and it is evil, and if you support this, then you are evil. On the other point...i agree, the only way to eliminate poverty is to eliminate the system that enables it. Name a state or nation that has not formed a hierarchy where there is massive poverty?
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm I agree that progressive taxation is not beneficial to the rich in a capitalist society. However, its necessity is what shows the fatal flaw of capitalism - disregard for the community. If you want capitalism without taxation, then the infrastructure for capitalism will fail and the entire capitalist system will crumble. A system based on selfishness and competition over community and cooperation is doomed to fail. Which is precisely why it's falling so hard now.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere You are completely incorrect. You are viewing what you see around you as capitalism. IT IS NOT CAPITALISM. In every aspect of the economy, government force and coercion is at play. This is not free market capitalism! You marxists have convinced yourself that business greed is the problem, no it's a monopolization of power from the state. When business and government join hands, all bets are off. The state is the problem, not business.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere "A corporation is a legal entity that is created under the laws of a state designed to establish the entity as a separate legal entity having its own privileges and liabilities distinct from those of its members."
By that definition...how in God's name can a corporation exist without a state????
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm The corporations exist now. If you eliminate the state and keep the corporations, you are essentially letting loose the corporations to ravage nature and the consumer population.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere No, if you remove the state, corporations collapse. There is literally no way a corporation could compete without patent laws. There is literally no way a corporation could compete with the little guy if neither had to pay taxes. The little guy is currently taxed far beyond what a corporation is taxed. Corporations love regulations - they can hire armies of lawyers to find the loopholes and break through the regulation while the little guy can not. This creates inequality.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm I don't know what planet you're living on, but claiming that the poor are taxed more than corporations is a flat out lie. And claiming that corporations love regulations is quite laughable. I guess Wall Street was just confused when they infiltrated the government to destroy financial regulation. You must have a very warped view on things.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere Well, I can clearly tell you're firmly convinced that the state is the answer to your solutions even though every bit of empirical evidence says otherwise. It's been fun talking with you, but just remember this. Taxation - The initiation of force to take property from one group and give that money to another group. This is theft, and it is immoral.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm What's immoral is 10% of the population owning everything and the rest owning nothing.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere Sigh...you really need to read a lot of stuff on the subject to understand that the reason these people have this is directly because of the state. Without the state, wealth would not be so unevenly distributed. Many things with communism I love...but the one thing I don't like about communism is that it involves a central government to force people to NOT own property. In a free society, you do what you choose. In communist society or this society, you do what you are told.
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm You're very misled, and somewhat delusional, if you seriously believe that anarchy means that the rich elites will magically become compassionate and share the wealth with the rest of society.
michaelwuzthere 5 months ago
@michaelwuzthere It has nothing to do with magic...it's economic law. You're not even delusional, you're simply uneducated. Through all of your research into marxist ideas...how much time did you really spend understanding how a true free market functions?
munkyusm 5 months ago
@munkyusm Marxism, particularly Das Kapital, is the study of market functions, and is as law establishing in economics as is Darwinism in biology. I really have no way to help you see simple truths in the world, except only telling you that if you lift all regulations on corporations and rich elites and expect them to then give the wealth out to the working class, that is just not going to happen.

@arkers2010 So true.
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
The problem with communism is it reduce freedom by trying to create the utopian society of equals forcefully. And humans like most animals like freedom than wealth. But we also needs a system which take care of poor and underprivileged and some sort of level playing field. That's when socialist (not communist) ideas come into play. Communism is nothing but and economic political version of social hatred. That's why so many died just to implement communism which was dubbed as "revolution"!
unheardvoice11 6 months ago

CSmoCC 6 months ago
@CSmoCC Agreed. Here's my stance on this stuff...I don't think any raw form of either philosophy is natural and I think no matter how communist, or how capitalist a society becomes or tries to become there will always be elements of both in every human being and in every group of human being. The reason I am a socialist is not because I think it's the natural state of human society, it's because I think it's the best form of economic justice that a society can have.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
Americans support Corporatism the most rotten and corrupted form of Capitalism yet they dont get they live daily under the joys of socialism, Socialism brought the US and all nations; Trade Unions, Labour Movements, Minimum Waging, Workers Rights, with exception to the USA it brought universal health care where private companies are forbidden from profitting of health care since this is not medically in the best interest of patients. Socialism helped to revive agriculture when capitalits harm it
CSmoCC 6 months ago

Even Karl Marx said it Socialism is 1 step after Capitalism and

hotfudgemoney 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Actually, 97% of human history has comprised of communist societies. Read up on sociological statistics, my friend. You'll find them quite interesting.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@sbalusu94 Ummm.. That's a biased statistic, get that shit out of here. If you want to call the cycle every society through history has gone through in which they begin with little to no regulation, and the framework for the society is lain, prosperity is abound.... Early Chinese Civilizations, South American, as well as Egypt. All of these civilizations eventually enacted laws governing relationships between people for "the greater good" and you know what happened? Soon after, they all went
hotfudgemoney 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney That is in no way a biased statistic.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@sbalusu94 stagnant or collapsed. Now this didn't happen over night of course but if THAT'S what you want to call Communism... sad. More importantly... Humans in the event that society does not exist ARE COLLECTIVISTS. You might misinterpret that as Communists, perhaps, but it's not. Collectivism does NOT equate with an ideology developed only in the 1800s. Communism is a joke... end of story.
hotfudgemoney 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Right...I myself don't agree with communism, it's just a misconception when people think it's an idea that has never happened. I don't think it's a very practical idea to have a communist society either.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Yes they were collectivists and they were also communists because everything that was collected by hunting/crop gathering was shared roughly equally with everyone in society. There was no private property either nor was there any formal government. It was basically a form of council communism.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
Wooooo the government needs to control me and everyone else because we're all inept, please communism show me the light, i need to be subsidized and handed the things i need to survive.
hotfudgemoney 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Actually Communism is the elimination of a formal government and the enactment of a grassroots democracy extended to all spheres of society. Today, Communists and socialists are thought as one and the same, but they're very different. Socialism requires government control while enforcing economic justice, while communism does not require a formal government.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@sbalusu94 Communism is a made up philosophy that requires humans to go against nature on a scale so massive, it will never be achieved, you're dreaming. Communism is the dictatorship of the proletariat... no one can own the means of property so without some form of ruling body, government, whatever you wish to call it how do you make it communism and not "fuck you that's mine"? Good luck explaining that one. Socialism does NOT require government control, I don't know where you get that.
hotfudgemoney 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney The only kind of socialism that does not require government power (and I'm actually a socialist so in no way am I trying to say this negatively) is anarcho-socialism, libertarian socialism, and communism, which are all the same thing. And yes I agree that the implementation of communism is impossible and it is also impossible to sustain it even if does get implemented. That's why I'm not a communist. I'm a socialist.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Communism by definition is a society that lacks a formal government in which resources and services are shared roughly equally.
sbalusu94 6 months ago
Communism is not the dictatorship of the proletariat. Here are the steps according to marx (roughly laid out): 1) Revolution 2) Dictatorship of the Proletariat 3) Socialism with a strong government 4) The elimination of government and the establishing of a grassroots democracy with socialist economics, which he referred to as "communist"
sbalusu94 6 months ago
@sbalusu94 Socialism with a strong government. Weren't you just preaching that the government didn't fully embrace Communism and that was the cause of the failure? What are the consequences of giving a strong government to people who don't fully embrace Communism? Dictatorship? What are the chances that someone in that position actually supports sharing everything?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney A democratically elected government with a strong legislative assembly and powerful impeachment policies would work fine with a socialist economy.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Really? Isn't that pretty much the goal of every government? Does it work here? What're your grievances with the way our electoral system works? Strong legislative assembly? So you want the legislative branch to have more power? You want them to be decisive and make reasonable decisions in a reasonable time frame? Powerful impeachment policies? How would you propose improving upon our own impeachment policies, since Socialism would work better if they themselves were better?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney There needs to be an economic council that makes central plans every so often and the legislative assembly which only includes a house of reps needs to approve of those plans to put them into effect. Then, the plans go into effect. The judicial system of the government needs to be very powerful, having the power to immediately impeach a president who breaks fundamental rules of the socialist consitution (a new consititution.) And an efficient removal of a pres that abuses power.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Who's going to check the judicial system?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney The state legislative bodies could do it.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Ehhhhhh, I asked a bunch more questions than that, when are you getting to those?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney The econ council would be the 4th branch of government and the 5th branch would be an emergency distribution council. My grievance with our current government is that the economy is not managed in an efficient way. This government would have a complex system of checks and balances. the legislative branch only makes politices like healthcare and military operations. Basically congress has less power. And their main power becomes the power to impeach specifically anyone in the other
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 The economy is not managed in an efficient way? How would you suppose we manage it? I suppose everyone manages their own personal finances, how bout that? But since you wanna organize my money too... How much to I start with? How much does it cost to pass go? What company gets to use this land? How is that decided? Why not this company? What about favoritism? The legislative branch makes decisions about health care? That's an economic issue too... How are you paying for it?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney No our current economy is not managed in a fair way and nor is it efficient, as can be concluded from the financial collapse that occured in recent years. You start with the amount of money that you get your first of working at your job minus the taxes.entitlement programs would be payed for by taxes. Healthcare would be handled by a single-payer system. A company can land as long as it buys it from land owners. Everyone manages their personal finances after taxes.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Buys it from the landowners? There are no landowners chief... This is Communism we're talking. Everyone manages their personal finances after taxes? Well then that's not really managing my own finances, now is it? Economies are meant to be managed, that's the problem. The "managing" of the American economy is what caused the collapse.
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney There are landowners. Do you remember that we're talking about Socialism not Communism? Didn't I say 100 times that I was a socialist not a communist? And no the economy collapsed because of rich capitalists that were arrogant and made stupid investments and sold bad loans. And now those same people who got screwed over are begging the gov. to give them bailouts.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Socialism still requires the abolishment of private property.
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney There are many types of socialist societies. The society I propose still has private property with respect to land. It's still socialist because of the central planning, the distribution, and the entitlements.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 The key aspect of Socialism is NO private property. Mixed democracies are not socialism. Central planning does not work. How do you expect to manage surpluses and shortages? How do you account for everyone? What do you not understand that entitlement programs cannot sustain themselves. Social Security was meant to be temporary. These sort of programs try to undercut the actual cost of things and they fail, just like the way the banks were being under cut by the Fed.
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney The gov would account for everyone by having local, community parliaments and other government figures from each community report to them to make sure things are keeping up with the plan. Social Security actually has a balanced budget right now. It's Medicare that's in trouble. The way you fix the lack of money going through entitlements is by increasing taxes on the wealthy to create more revenue and to cut out inefficiencies in the entitlement system itself.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 Social Security only has a balanced budget, because that factors me paying for old people, and young people paying for me when I'm old. I want to save my own fucking money, how bout that?
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney There are many people that cannot afford to save their own money, therefore creating a government system that supplies people is the best for society as a whole.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@sbalusu94 It's not best for me.. Why can't I opt out. You're infringing upon my right to keep the fruits of my labor.
hotfudgemoney 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney I understand what you mean. Here're the two situations: 1) Have everyone manage their own finances for retirement/emergency money and have a lot of people that work at jobs that don't pay them enough to save just die. 2) Have everyone pay into the system (which pisses some people off because it takes their money) but everyone's lives are saved and those who can't afford to save are not left in the streets to die. From a purely utilitarian perspective, you save more lives with #2.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney You're assuming that everyone (extending the discussion to all entitlements) that doesn't have enough money saved for emergencies or retirement is in that situation because they were irresponsible. But there are plenty of people that had jobs that didn't pay them enough for them to adequately save. That's why we need entitlements. It's unethical to just leave those people to die.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Call it what you want if you don't want to call it socialism. Well first of all, in this society, it is illegal to have more than 2 kids. If there is someone that has more than 2 because of reasons out of their hands (such as the possibility of triplets), that is okay. However, if it is because of irresponsible behavior, they face consequences but their kids are taken care of by foster parents in the meantime. In each local community, there will be a small department that keeps
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney track of everyone that is married, how many kids they have, and their purchase of birth control. Also, the government has a local department in each community that takes a count of all the people there. This will overall work, because if you have 2 kids for every set of 2 parents, it is easy to predict the population. That's how you account for everyone.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney If we have surpluses the surpluses are taken by the government and stored for emergency use, so that people aren't encouraged to lie about their actual needs just to get the government to get factories to produce more. If there is a shortage, the government will buy the appropriate number of goods from overseas with it's Emergency Distribution Council.
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney Everyone needs Social Security. It needs to be permanent. In a free-market economy, the biggest weakness is that it creates a wide degree of fluctuation. There's no way to keep track or even predict the future of the cycle properly. That's why even Alan Greenspan, the guy with a Ph.D. in Econ made a terrible decision on how to help the markets. So without Social Security, the amount you think is needed to save each year may not be enough when it comes down to it
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney because the market might just fluctuate enough to make whatever you accounted for not enough in terms of saved money. This is why people need social security and government help instead of just "oh I'll save my own money because I know how the market will be in the future"
sbalusu94 5 months ago
@hotfudgemoney The only reason why entitlements seem to "not be enough for each person sometimes" is because this country has no way of controlling it's population. We need to have population laws so that the amount we put into entitlements is enough when people need to take money from it and so that there is a way to plan how much we need to put in. Just think about how much the baby-boomers are screwing us over because people many generations ago were irresponsible and had too many kids.
