I have to say, though the movies themselves have all been very impressive, one of the highlights really has been the credit sequences. My personal favorite is Thor, but the others are excellent too.
Nice to see Hayley get the "We Can Do It!" poster. Contrary to popular belief, the poster was not related to the "Rosie the Riveter" song, nor was it meant to encourage women to become factory workers. Actually it was an internal campaign for women already working at Westinghouse Electric to boost morale (and discourage absenteeism and strikes). The poster was based on the photo of a real woman who worked briefly as a metal presser at American Broach & Machine Co. in 1942.
When the credits rolled, I wondered why the majority of the audience, myself and friend included stayed and then I realized why; the sequel! A lot of the guys were cheering after that trailer showed! lol
I'd love to find a list of what posters were used here. I recognize the familiar "I want YOU" poster and the "We Can Do It!" poster, but not the others.
@toddsmitts Look at the one right after the "I want you" poster, the one with the yellow planes that have a red propeller symbol on the side. it is an old Civil Air Patrol recruting poster. Civil Air Patrol was founded in 1941 as a way to utilize civilan air power against german U-boats along our coasts. Today Civil Air Patrol is the cadet auxiliary of the United Stated Air Force, and is open to students ages 12 to 21. Sorry, I cant help you with any of the other ones.
@Scoonertuna I wonder how many people noticed the similarities in the scene before they show Steve Rogers in the fake Hospital with the kids playing Captain America & the Howling Commando's witth the ending of the Rocketeer where the kids are playing the Rocketeer.
What a way to end a movie! The best ending credits I've ever seen. Captures the WW2 feel perfectly. Captain America could have been better but they managed to capture a WW2 feel which made the whole film worth while.
A 3D motion comic of a bunch of World War II propaganda to partiotic music.
Perfect.

Best credits sequence in a superhero movie since the opening to SUPERMAN, hands down! (And I loved the title sequence to WATCHMEN, by the way!).

This may open a can of worms but this was so much better than the last Harry Potter, but thats my opinion others may think otherwise

Thank you, Joe Johnston, for making the best superhero film of 2011! Captain America all the way!
Also, thanks for Rocketeer, the most underrated super-hero film!

Other than Black Sabbath's "Iron Man", this is *the* most memorable instrumental I've ever heard in an Avengers movie.

Man, the team who designed the end credits should be nominated for an academy award for score and editing. Amazing!

This end credit sequence reminds of of the 1940's style propaganda war art, I love it.

Yea its weird. Maybe its a politically correct thing but that doesn't make sense when we are talking about a movie with Nazis :D.
