  • Excellent Justin; I always love your songs; I know you strive each time to distinguish each one from the others. The harmonies/voice overlays are brilliant.

  • This is one of my favourites of yours... made the hairs on my neck stand up.. Loved it mate. *****

  • Thanks.

  • beautiful!

  • Thanks!

  • Watched again late this night. Still like it. Love the hammer on notes as they harmonize :)

  • I am planning on making a few touchups and resending this one.

  • I really dig this song. Well done!

  • Thanks Jim.

  • Justin, your life must be filled with tremendous drops of hurt to compose such somber melodies and lyrics! Well, I very much appreciate what you go through to provide us with such delightful harmonies and honest songs.

  • I can't say my life is all that bad, I just feel music quite intensely. It is why I have such a hard time writing a silly song.

    Thanks for commenting, Mary.

  • modest mouse "the moon and antarctica" the darkest, coldest album ive ever heard, also, a top favorite... this song would fit well stuck between "the cold part" and "3rd planet" which you must hear and continue with this style of writing! wonderful song!

  • I will definitely check it out. Thanks for stopping by, Zach.

  • PS; this is exceptional original material bro :O)

  • Thanks.

  • Creepy little number - lmao- Fav --5/5 ******

  • Glad I could give you a chuckle, Dana.

  • thats amazing- a wonderful song...and sad!*****

  • Thank you for listening, Daniela.

  • Wow. Spacey. I like the picking, and I love the vocal overlaps.

    Although morbid, good!

  • Thank you, Rebecca. I'm glad you liked it despite the morbidity. Is that even a word?

  • Thanks James. What happened to your other channel?

  • Honestly couldn't see what Elmo was doing. I'm sure with more professional equipment the quiet beginning wouldnt matter. So tell me, what happened, did someone die? I'm thinkin the suicide watch is back LOL

All seriousness aside, a very dark, sad, but sickeningly reassuring little number. I love it.

  • Mnay people have commented on the Elmo toys in the background. If you look closely at the right side, this time there is an Elmo toy AND an Elmo chair.

    Two Elmo's in one video!

Yes, this is a morbid little piece, no matter how you read into it.

  • Wow - this is something very special. The guitar sucked me in right from the start. I just had to listen to it a couple of times in a row - I love it!

  • Thank you very much, Lynn!

  • dude!...i'm totally loving the fingerpicking on this one...esp just after the first verse...the harmonizing is tre cool as well...nice job oszie!

  • Thanks a lot, Stina. Oddly enough, the fingerpicking style seems to be mode hand's MO. If I want to use another technique I actually have to concentrate on it until the song is imbedded in my brain. I actually have another tune I like a lot ready to put up, but it uses the same picking and I didn't want it to sound the same as the previous tune.

  • I loved it! I like what you did with the vocal overlaps and added guitar stuff. This tune has an amazing atmosphere. Bravo Justin!

  • It was fun to play around a little, Alex. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • wow......thats cool

    great job

    bryan

  • Thanks a lot for stopping by, Bryan.

  • Absolutely beautifully hypnotizing...Enough said

  • A very fine arrangement you got going there. Thanks for sharing.

    Mark

  • Thanks you for listening, Mark.

  • Thanks for the compliment, Haley.

  • That was schweeet. Bravo.

  • Thanks for stopping by, it's nice to see you again.

  • Hello Jusitn, this is a very heady piece of music and lyrics. It is highly atmospheric, and I like what you are doing with the voices very much. It is a first rate song and performance from you. -Ron

  • Much obliged, Ron.

  • {Combining both replies into one}

Yes, I put some extra stuff in there for those headphones listeners. Thank you for noticing.

That is also one of my favorite parts. I wish I had a bass and an electric to really highlight it, but we do what we can.

Thank you for you lovely comments, Ruby.

  • Fantastic!! ...its all been said 5****

    and faved.

  • Thanks for listening and commenting, Brian.

  • Holy sh*t!! That just took my breath!

This one if fav'd for sure!!!!!!

  • This is one of my favorite comments ever. Thank you very much,

  • back for more. delicious.

  • Great song, love the feel, very haunting sound, just subscribed like to hear more, please check out my channel.

  • Thanks for stopping by, commenting and subbing. Your stuff is quite good, so I will gladly return the favor.

  • This is incredible. A new favourite for me! The layering is perfect. The way the separate vocal and guitar parts just blend into one another sounds great.

  • Thanks Tom. I actually thought of you when I uploaded it because it is mildly reminiscent of Muscovy's stuff.

I am pleased with the mixing and panning with one exception. I wish I had made the higher harmonies on the outro a little louder with a shorter fade in. With headphones they were present enough, but with speakers it doesn't seem to carry that well.

    Thanks again.

  • wow justin, this is so good. as soon as you starting singing, i was immediately drawn in. the lyrics, the guitar and your singing is beautiful. a new fav of yours for sure!! i'll be coming back to this one later today to take another listen! take care my friend! laura

  • Thanks for listening and for this wonderful compliment, Laura. I hope you enjoy it just as much when you return.

  • I like it a lot Justin! From the harmonies to the guitar leads to the lyrics, really nice!

  • Thank you very much, Raul.

  • This is just loverly...I agree with Ruby

    this is a FavoRite:)

  • Thanks Michael. I had a feeling you might enjoy this one. I borrowed some of your airy singing style. Hope you don't mind.

  • All I can say is...sweet...:)

  • ohh..just so gorgeous. can't stop hitting replay... you never dissapoint.

    faved, and vlogged.

  • Thanks Carol. Your comments are always much appreciated.

  • Very cool original Justin !!!...great counterpoint vocals !! Excellent !*****

  • Reminds me of Elliot Smith.

    -z-

  • Checked him out; I take that as a compliment as I liked what I heard. Thanks, Z.

  • nice job , one of the best composer i've subscribe

  • You are too kind.

  • Up late - can't sleep either?

I like the whole thing - Nice harmonies - Kinda spooky.

    Jim

  • Oh I can sleep with the best of 'em. I just don't get very many daytime hours to do the music thing. Thanks for the listen, Jim.
