Jeld Wen is disgusting... I know worked there for 10 years...treat their employees like shit. Their quality is shit along with there buildings here in K Falls
@SuperHunter43 The quality is the worse in the industry. There is no aftermarket support for repair parts or replacement units. Their reps hide behind hidden anonymous phone numbers and blame every product failure to maintenance or installation. People need to avoid their product. Quality products come from happy employees. The employee who build my windows shot spools of waffle strips where nails belonged and disn't hold- nearly cutting stop strips in half.
As a company, they know so little about what customers really want. They do not listen. I have heard their executives say, on more than one occasion, "They need to buy what we have.." Hint, no they don't. They can and will go elsewhere for the product. And get better service and quality along the way.
So wet-flash is sealant dependent? Why is the wetflash required under the wood? Why not install the wood first and then install the wetflash product? I would rather use Air-bloc 33 by henry's or graces vapor permeable air barrier than wet flash because of cost alone. Wet flash is $24/sf installed and Grace is $3/sf installed.
