This commercial came out right after my son was born and I used to sing and dance to the jingle to make him laugh. Guess that's why it's a sweet memory for me. Thanks for posting it!
What a beautiful expression of real life, real occurrences and feelings! It just shows that not all advertising is meaningless or unwanted, or makes the viewer languid or apathetic.
I recall Clorox commercials were blocked out in Florida in 1987 for a time because they would not pay 5% sales tax to the state government for airing commercials, so this jingle was missed for a while before the tax ended after 6 months.
It 's scary. What deep emotions, rites and mythical nursery rhymes bind all amercans emotionally together in their past? Ehm..right..washing powder commercial jingles. I am touched.
It's the longest running jingle in TV history.

What about dad's... Do they not do laundry too? This is a sexist commercial disguesed with good feelings, nature and a cheesy jingle.

Your sexist if you think that, it is true that women usually do all of the house work.

@cejunes
the black music makes this suck. every cleaning product now smells like a tampon given out at a hospital.
