Ayami kojima is far more the masterpiece of her own artwork. Her style of gothic made a perfect fit for castlevania since symphony of the night. Also i love Michiru yamane's tunes. kind of creepy music which is awsome!!

castlevania is a part of my life (and it seems your's too) and you should not say things like damn iga. and generally people stop with the hatinng on the ps2 cv's. the real problem is the new castlevania on ps3, which looks a lot like a god of war clone. and i think every castlevania fan don't want that to happen.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure Leon was a retcon. In the old Castlevania games, the Belmonts were a different kind of force entirely, and by old, I mean all the way through SOTN, and somewhat on into the excellent "sorrow" games. Other games since then have tried to make the main characters all pale, slim and emo, whether they were vampires or not, and I'm just not into that.

Okay I must admit he doenst look so masculin like Trevor or Simon did before, but only real "Emothing" about him is the tragic End of his Story, and you must admit that he got the most tragic ending of all Belmonts, about his look we can argue, but I think his look does fit well in a "horror" game like Castlevania

See, that's the thing. Leon did things that I could never imagine any other Belmont ever being willing to do, in order to accomplish his goals. Julius, Simon, Trevor, Richter, etc, etc... all seem like basically decent guys with firm morals and really bad life situations, but Leon didn't just have a bad situation. He actually sacrificed somebody else's life in order to defeat his enemy. Yes, it tore him up, but he still did it. Not cool. Way not cool.

His wife wanted it like that, and because he loves her, he took the "torment on his shoulders" and followed her wish, you should listen again what he says to mathias when mathias admit that he became a vampire, he said to dracula that he did this all to follow the wish of his beloved wife, or you really think he sacrafice her only to kill walter? the actual goal of the game is to take sara back

Murdering is still murdering. Even if they want you to kill them, it's still wrong. I excuse it with undead characters like the vampires, and with non-human monsters, but Sara clearly gave up hope, and Leon should have done the noble thing and tried to reassure her that they'd find a way to undo what Walter did, even if he had no idea how.

P.S.: If the point is to recover Sara, how come you don't do that by the end of the game?

P.P.S.: Yes, I really think he sacrificed her.

I didn't say it was her will to become a vampire. I said she gave up hope, and made a choice that essentially amounts to voluntarily consigning herself to Limbo. This was NOT a good choice on her part, and it was just as bad for Leon to agree to it, especially if he actually cared about what happened to her.

P.S.: To "love" someone does NOT mean doing what they tell you. It means that you do what it best for them.

This takes place in 1094 Europe. That means that, like everyone from that time period, Sara was well aware that her soul had a specific purpose; to ascend to the afterlife. It's this that she gave up on.

And yes, it was bad. In fact, it was evil. Interfering with a soul's path to the afterlife makes Leon just as bad as a vampire, in that respect. At least with vampires, you can free their souls by killing them.

Yes. You do keep saying that. Apparently, he didn't want it. Apparently, she didn't want it, yet both of them participated in doing this evil thing nonetheless. One of the most basic truths of ethics (and the very point where good and evil are differentiated from one another) is that one must never do evil so that good may come of it. You don't have to be a psychopath, or scheme cruelly in order to do something terribly evil. You just have to compromise. Leon did. Sara did.

In the Castlevania Story the Vampires are like the most strongest creature of the night, and Dracula as the "King" also rule Death, and Death is a thing with "divine Power". If there would be another Way, Rinaldo would know about it... Not like you, I cannot see any evil in this sacrafice Sara made or in Leons respect he gave to the last wish of his wife. I think thats the special about Leon's story and that whats make him the first belmont and the start of Castlevania.

Thats true... Look at the Belmonts, Leon for example is slim, while Richter ane even the New version of Simon (chronicles Version) are still very muscular. Kratos from God of war is in my opinion a little "special" Character, because he is like the personification of masculin beeing but also his character and gameplay is depend on his masculin appereance. But I think in future, game characters will be more muscular again, also Gabriel Belmont in Lords of Shadows was huge, lol

Yeah. I actually kind of liked the Conan look somewhat, though I though Richter's outfit was better suited to the whole vampire hunter thing. There's kind of a mix between a warrior and a civilized man to be found there, whereas you know both are present with Trevor and Simon, but more on the inside than the outside.

I think they should reduce the muscles on a "athletic" level. I think Trevor got the best modernized Version of every Belmont, the new Richter on Dracula X Chronicles is somewhat too slim I think, about Simon, I think this look does fit him very well, the old barbarian look wasnt bad too, but he was too mascular, like a Bodybuilder... I think this was a Arnold Schwarzenegger Trend and they made the first Simon after this Picture

Yeah, I think you may be right. For someone fighting vampires, the most important thing, naturally, would be not getting hit, so while it makes no sense for a vampire hunter to be skinny, per se, it's also hard to picture them surviving long with exceptionally bulky muscles, since they just can't match the superhuman strength of the vampires.

On they other hand, if they do possess superhuman strength, they can be as bulky as they need to be. The Kratos equation again.
