Here's why: even though you were trying to be a smart-ass, as a commenter, YOU and YOU ALONE have got the story completely straight from watching the trailer. "Almaden," in the film IS nothing more than a version of Alameda, but with the differences you noticed! Like, exactly! It's too bad we printed the DVD jackets before you posted, because your observation would have been a perfect synopsis!

Neo Nazi drug dealing drifters from oakland...sure why not, after all oakland has a huge neo nazi drug dealing drifter problem... All standard tropes minus a little romper stomper. Check.

1. the crime rate in alameda is basically nonexistant
2. oakland is not even that bad, it really had a bad rep because of one bad side of oakland. oakland misconceptions are so wrong
