Would love them to re form . They are great. Its funny how on x-factor the final is often won by the weaker act.Rhydian Roberts springs to mind. This group are without doubt the best act ever to come out of x factor.Brilliant
christ u people get touchy on here, they sang it well,y the fuk do u all wana argue and slag everything off, grow up!!!! if u dun like it, dun watch it!! if u like it then watch n enjoy! simple as!!
@barbieley Unfortunately Paul Potts is nowhere near as technically secure as these guys, G4 trained at Guildhall school of music, one of the top music schools in the UK, and I'm not sure Paul Potts studied music.
@barbieley please dont waste your life listening to paul potts and g4 they really are just club singers. have a listen to franco corelli on utube if you want to hear a real singer
@gerry4339 well i do actually and the guy that won steve shit head were is he now simon sacked him best thing he ever did they sold more albums and had more success than him. They were together for three years and he only lasted eight months before he was dropped by the record label. so get lost!!!
@jamesbooker89 yes you are right the one who won was crap. but these guys wernt much better. listen to corelli or bjorling or pavarotti if you need to hear real classical singers. not these awful buskers. were are the other three now if they are that good? they were hardly il divo were they? embarrasing british crap
Wow, I was not expecting that to be as lovely as it was. Personally I like this interpretation slightly better than Potts', but the two singers are in the same league. Singers can not be compared objectively against each other, because everyone is different. It's all a matter of preference. However, most people agree that the people here and Paul Potts both have some training to go before being in league with someone like Pavarotti. I can't wait to see how it works out.
What a great voice Jonathan had at 22 years old.. But you need to listen to him now at 27 years old - how much it has matured particularly in his lower range. Jonathan in a high tenor so his natural range is 'higher' than Pavarotti as a lyric tenor. He is still so young - as he recently said his voice is 'work in progress'. & won't be fully mature for another 10 years. His vocal idol being Florez another Leggiero tenor.
As for Paul Potts - Pavorotti impersonator/karaoke singer.
Holy shit, who's the lead singer? I listened to him do Bohemian Rhapsody, and damn he sounds good no matter what genre he's in. I know that there are better singers in the world, but I just want to listen to more of that guy!
I am sorry, but Paul Potts has a great rang and depth in his voice which, mind you, is completely untrained. He has a wonderful vocal growth to develop.
Pavarotti is in a league of his own, there is no question about it. However do take into effect that he has been doing this much longer with training.
To be fair sophie i think we all know that jonathan is beeter on jhis own thats why hes singin solo now. G4 were good but u sayin u defend mike on every single commentary of g4 songs just makes ppl want to say it more to nnoy u lol.
Although Brookstein won the series his mentor Simon Cowell later admitted that G4 (mentored by fellow judge and rival Louis Walsh) were the real winners and they are of x 2004
hey lads i`m italian.i heard this song trough my childhool thousand of times, bcause of my mother and what i think it`s that the blond one,i don`t know is name, anyway the one that sing alone he could have done better without the 3silly friends, they must shut theyr mouths...and tell the one in the middle to take out the hand from his pocket while the performance,,but i`ve been impressed from the blond one,,bravo bravo....luciano r.i.p.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
oh shut the fuck up will yhuu u no nothing jonathan dus sound good on his own they all do and i get very deffensive over mike so shut up about him and all of them .. .peace :)
jeeeez there really are some knob heads on here . with comments like amateur etc , really do you think that the blonde guy has had no training ? these classical purist always trying to keep this genre for themselfs , well got this - classical music is for everyone not just purists who "think" they know it all . get over it singing is singing and as long as its in tune then its valid
Good God, spudwoody! Are you trying to tell us that beautiful singing is beautiful singing even if it doesn't follow the exact prescription of some peculiar old-fashioned Italian type of singing that sounds like animals screaming in pain? The rule is that if it is popular and moves millions of people it must be rubbish. If it sounds like a cat with its tail in the wringer, and appeals only to a small group of snobs, it is high art.

Who says it sounds like a cat with its tail in the wringer certainly hasn't ever listemed to good singers.
Although I agree on the fact that the so-called 'popular' singing can be beautifull too. It's just that a lot of wannabe-singers (like Britney Spears par example) ruin the image.
On a good day - when I haven't been savaged by too many rabid purists - I might concede that some opera singers have reasonable voices. Not everyone likes opera though, and it may be related to their producing much of their sound energy in the same range as the human scream. It's a fact they do this. It is what enables them to project over an orchestra. But I'm opposed to what I see as snobbishness rather than opera per se, Hoogn. and don't think I have any real beef with you.
The funniest thing about this stupid and inaccurate comment is that you don't know how to spell "amateur" =] you don't seem to understand that performance of a piece of music like this is more about interpretation than anything, and this is beautifully interpreted!
It's not all interpretation. You need to have at least a little talent. And I think they do, but not for this. Their Circle of Life is great and I first heard it on Pandora, which is why I looked them up on youtube. But they really shouldn't be doing this kind of music.
Technically beautiful, but it just has something about the performance that is very underwhelming. Probably the harmonies: they aren't weren't very rich, expecially for (what I hoped for) strong voices.
However, at least the blonde guy who sings the lead of this sounds better than over half of the real opera singers I have seen performances of on Youtube.
