I have seen several of montages, and yours seem to be the best so far :)

I was thinking about doing this myself, but with my editing skills it woudl be an embarasmant :)

Oh and i agree with MadMustard, it is worth your time to watch Colbert adn Stewart. They are geniuses!

Cat, I very much liked your take on the edit. It was very crisp, clean and professional. Of about a hundred of these, I have seen so far, you are the only other person that edited out the black band on the left from the raw footage. You have that editor's eye buddy! You can watch clips of Colbert and Jon Stewart at Comedy Central's website, comedycentral(dot)com. It is worth your time to watch their humor.

ahem, I'll take credit for the 'clean, crisp' editing but must admit I hadn't purposely taken out the black band on the left, I just enlarged the image until it looked 'right' - thanks though and thanks for the inspiration on this one
