@gammondog That was because they both realized the threat which USSR represented to their Democracy, Stalin wanted all.Roosevelt was relaxed because USA hadn't had so much casualties as UK.In my opinion there were only to victors USA and USSR, UK was very weak near the end of WW2.That's why Churchill was uncomfortable, he knew that whatever will happen next, UK will depend entirely of USA.Churchill was a smart man, smarter than Stalin+Roosevelt.

Roosevelt couldn't believe what they were trying to tell him because, to him, Stalin was a great heroic leader. @etalococh What happened in USSR was not communism. Was a disfunctional socialist state, where the power was in the hands of a little and privileged group of politicians. Communism can only work with democracy, real democracy, not the fantasy of liberal capitalism, where most of people does not have any control of the curse of their lives.

@anarkobob There was always a desire for a Governing figure, there was just changes done to make it fairer. The idea of a fair government was not a wild dream as it did not go against basic natural instinct but just a surface change of how society works, it could perceived as a wild dream because lords wanted to hold on to power but that is not the problem at hand. A system that goes against natural instinct which is so basic that it is found among plants is unpractical and won’t work.

It works better then communism, i understand your philosophy of sharing instead of hording wealth and status. It IS better and i agree with you, but the flaw with communism is not everyone mutually sharing but rather an elite group collects everything and decides who gets what. There is still greed in those leaders in the elite and it will fail. Capitalism never fails unless you add socialism to it, in the capitalist world there are people who suffer but it is still fairer then other systems

I am talking from a personal history.
The husband of my grand,grand mother was executed,she was deported to Irkutsk and all of her belongings were taken away from her,yet two of her children died in the train.
But this is before she met my grand,grand father.
So if she wasn't deported she would never meet my grand father,thus I wouldn't exist.
It is just irony...But no matter,I don't like Stalin I don't idolize rulers,I like communist idea,but not stalinism,maoism or smth like that.

We fought for 1 month against Germans(attacked from north south and west) and Soviets(from 17th September from east).We didnt colaborate with enemy.
France had better equipment more soldiers and they lost in 2 weeks.
They were attacked from east.

@gammondog That was because they both realized the threat which USSR represented to their Democracy, Stalin wanted all.Roosevelt was relaxed because USA hadn't had so much casualties as UK.In my opinion there were only to victors USA and USSR, UK was very weak near the end of WW2.That's why Churchill was uncomfortable, he knew that whatever will happen next, UK will depend entirely of USA.Churchill was a smart man, smarter than Stalin+Roosevelt.

Roosevelt couldn't believe what they were trying to tell him because, to him, Stalin was a great heroic leader. Seeing him in this film glancing at Stalin so affectionately, confirms, in my mind,his naiveté. Yes,Churchhill truly was the wisest of the three leaders.

The idea of a fair government was not a wild dream as it did not go against basic natural instinct but just a surface change of how society works, it could perceived as a wild dream because lords wanted to hold on to power but that is not the problem at hand. A system that goes against natural instinct which is so basic that it is found among plants is unpractical and won’t work.

@1ohtaf1 freedom is one of the wildest dream of men, I believe there still are slaves in some countries, and you might not think so but getting away from some forms of "communism" (because is not real communism as it cannot exist at the momment) to get freedom is a wild dream, maybe not for you maybe not for me, but for them it is, the ones who are not living that reality should have a wild dream, a dream of something better, in my case I've chosen communism, I know that capitalism doesn't work

It works better then communism, i understand your philosophy of sharing instead of hording wealth and status. It IS better and i agree with you, but the flaw with communism is not everyone mutually sharing but rather an elite group collects everything and decides who gets what. There is still greed in those leaders in the elite and it will fail. Capitalism never fails unless you add socialism to it, in the capitalist world there are people who suffer but it is still fairer then other systems

@1ohtaf1 mmm, I really don't understand how can you say capitalism is fairer than communism, I don't see the fairness in working a shitty underpaid job forever to make someone richer, and that is even as an engineer, a medician, a lawyer, yes you are making "big money" but in reality that work you make is way bigger than you think, and believe me, there is something better than capitalism and communism, but if we do not abandon those ideas we will never find it

No one is forcing you to work, if you need the money then stay, or find a competetor that offers a better pay, if you are too shitty at your profession and all the better paying jobs are given to better suited people, tough luck, thats your fault not the system. Another problem with communism that i havent touched on yet, is the lazy bums who do jack shit get the same pay and the hard working middle class. Greed for more money is a motivation to work harder

@1ohtaf1 I guess you didn't make myself clearXD, in comparisson the money you are making as an employee, the money you are generating to your employeer is abismal, and that lazyness exist also in the capitalist world, is not exclusive, and I disagree, one of the rules of communism is that if you work hard you get results, is the same but kind of different because in a capitalist state the most likely is that you wont get the chance to grow as you should according to your effort

@anarkobob Yeah some are lucky and some are not, its not a perfect system and its not a perfect world, if you make a system for a perfect world and think it will work in the real, unfair, unforgiving world then you are blind. Nope, in a TRUE communist system, the harder you work, the same pay you get. Its not based on your contribuition but what they think you need to feed you and your family. The problem is when socalism is added to capitalism, lazy companies fail, but noo you bail them out.

@1ohtaf1 I don't think so, we just have to see what happened to the US car industry, those companies were not lazy , and there is no way that socialism was added to capitalism in the US, however they fail and the government had to bail them out as you said, and yes there won't be a perfect world where everything is fair, because the people who get to decide it don't want to and the people who want to don't have the guts to fight for it or the ones who want it and have the guts are killed

Socalist government ideals is controling and intruding into the private economy, well the start of one, a capitalist free market system is where you work for your penny, you dont get paid for failing. You commie wannabes always complain how in captialism the rich gets richer cause they are to big to fail, WRONG, it is because you say that bailouts are good, but then compain when shitty companies monopolise. GM sucks, if it didnt it wouldnt need a bail out, if you suck, you deserve to fail.

@1ohtaf1 I couldn't agree more,if something sucks it deserves to fail, but socialist government ideals are not controling neither intruding the private economy, if that were true the workers would be getting a share from the earnings, a bigger share, but they aren't, they are making the shareholders richer, even that name implies that the workers are getting screwed XD. socialist ideas are are to protect the on who doesn't have anything, giving them school and health system, is that wrong?

YES COMMUNIST governments CONTROL the private economy, heck there is no private economy, because its all controlled by the government. You are not making sense, in a socalist state you dont own anything, it belongs to the governent. If you dont own anything, what you buy and sell isnt yours, and hence there is no private economy. The government intrudes into everyones lives.

@Lavron4151 someday we'll be doing that, we just have start a change, but it goes deeper than that, nationality, social status race, historic background, and there is a lot of people who still hate people just for their skin, it is really hard but someday it will happen, though it seems we are going backwards in stop hating and education, well that's what I see where I live=)

@Doom2012Today I disagree, because not everybody was doing the hard work, just the poor, as it is in the society we are living, imagine that everyone has to do the dirty job for sometime, then all of the people after they finish their "service" start a new "service" in a higher rank and keep going untill you have to retire from the "service" instead of doing the dangerous work or the underpaid job all the time, just keep growing =)
