  • hi, Im a british citizen about to apply for my texan fiancee to come to england with me on an engagement visa. I am a little bit confused.... you are saying that we have to have 3 months worth of income ....i have also heard that you can have enough money for 100.56 a week. which would mean that we could come with savings. i really dont want to leave her for 3 or 4 months to get my job etc.... are you 100% i have to have employment already.

    Thanks\

    Tom

  • @tlecore The regulations have changed , and the required evidence is now 6 months and not 3. My videos are for the Spousal Visa- which is when you have already married. For the Fiancée Visa- they are not allowed to work for 6 months, so it is imperative that enough money is in savings and yes, you need to be working. No one likes to leave their partners, but unfortunately we have to (in most case's). I was separated for 6 months...its not fun. Good luck.

  • Thank you, once again, took a while to find the barcode... we are getting there. We very much appreciate the guide you have relayed to all and your informative video. Regards D

  • Hi Pepper Ann,.... may I ask you a couple more questions... did you make flight reservations before you applied for your visa? Did you book a one-way flight? Please can you clarify printing the "barcode" for the Biometric Testing. Is this before or after the testing? Thank you.

  • @nwadTAN No, you do not book a flight, you get near the booking lol.. just start the process of booking a flight but do not pay for it. You will have an itinerary at that point. Print it off, this is what you send. The barcode comes with your biometrics appointment you set up after you process the online visa. hope this helps, if not let me know, and I will try to give you further detailed information. Good Luck!!! xx

  • did you have to get entry clearance as well as the visa or are they the same?

  • im getting married in october to my british guy. just started looking into this. glad to know i dont have to hire a lawyer. but a quick question. does he have to be living in england before i can move, or can we move at the same time? also what part of England did you move to? we're going to hull in Yorkshire

  • @CNepusz Yes- he needs to be in England to get started with income and housing so that he has a support base set up for you. I think in only extreme occasions do they allow you to apply when the sponsor (your fiance) is with you out of home country. Remember your sponsor will need to have 3 months of income and evidence sent for your application!

  • well its gud :)

  • I'm from Texas too and I also will miss Tex-Mex food. Fish n chips are gorgeous. So are steak pies. And Yorkshire puddings. I know it's not British food, but the best pizza I ever put into my fat little face is in York at a place called Caeser's on Goodramgate. What part of Texas are you from and what part of England are you in now? Curious.

  • @TexDad1971 I cant stand fish n chips- lol too greasy. No pies for me :) I make my own chicken pot pies though!!!

Im from Stephenville (bout 45 minutes south of Ft Worth and have moved near Newcastle - North East England!

    xxPepperxx

  • @JourneyOfLaughter oh wow, I know where Stephenville is. I'm from Dallas and hopefully will be living in York. To fill you in from a reply on your other vid, I have 2 kids and I have had baby mama drama, but I have the paperwork showing that I have had her rights to them stripped away. Knowing that, would you still recommend I do it all myself and not use a company. The main reason I like the idea of a company is they return all your money if the visa doesn't go through.

  • @TexDad1971

well- Ive just helped a friend who is from Mexico and in same situation- she Hired a immigration lawyer. I guess at the end of the day if you have the money then yes go for it. But if you dont, then you honestly dont have a choice but to do it yourself. I will message her tonight and ask her opinion as she literally just got the approval two days ago :) If you want to private message me so your details arent on the face of Youtube lol you cant :)

    xxPepperxx

  • Respond to this video... also, for your biometrics, did you go to Dallas? I see there is an office on Westmoreland in Dallas. If that's still operating, that's where I'll go. Nice to know there is one that close to me.

Aside from all the legal, it would be cool to see some pics or vid of the area you are in now. I have loads of footage of York.....and when we went to London and Stonehenge etc. If ya get bored, just look on my channel. Later.

  • @TexDad1971 I went to a mall in Ft worth. But yeah just google biometrics office in dallas and it will give you addresses.

:) Ive got a few on my channel

  • I've only just found you, but we are similar....I'm American and my new wife (married Oct 24th 2011) is British. We've been at this for 4 years plus and finally made the wedding happen. I just had to drive her to the airport to go back home while we work on getting a spousal visa. Glad your situation worked out. (I assume, but I've not watched all ur vids). Wish us luck.

  • Thanks for ur fast reply honey

Just wondering i have already a four year old and now am pregnant do i let them know about this one, am afraid if i do have to work harder to earn enough salary for them to see, now am earning ok, not really bothered to work two shifts and with big belly its headache

And who get to fill in the application me or husband

  • @yasoo0o8 hmm. I dont really know about anything to do with kids- but from what I have seen, honesty is always the best policy. Because once you have to apply for indefinate leave to remain, they might question why you didnt let them know in the beginning? IDK..But then again, it might make it like you say a bit harder for the salary! But if you have plenty of savings I would tell them! :)

    xxPEpperXxx

  • Oh my god! Thank you so much! I'm stoked to say that everything youve suggested I already have together, with the exception of knowing that I'll need to remove my piercings :) you've made me feel so relieved ! I'm going for my biometrics tomorrow, got the barcode and am triple checking my 5 inch binder. One question though...must I send in my written application or is that optional? And if I must, do I send it with my evidence binder? Or separately? Thanks a million!

  • @asanchio Hi :) You send the printed application in your binder to the consulate or if like me, to the courier service. :) Glad you got some use out of the video!!

  • Hey may i know how many saving should i have and how much should my salary

  • @yasoo0o8 It depends- every situation is different!

  • thx for your advices =)

  • @soare24 You are very welcome! Hope it helps!!! xxPepperxx

  • did you have to have an interview in england?

  • @NORMANGODS No if you have to have an interview it will be before you get your visa and before you leave your home country :) But I didnt have to have an interview at all as my application was straight forward. Good Luck!

  • Hi, this was really helpful to me. I do have a question however- my fiance's salary ensures that we will have at least 200 pounds per week for our living expenses. Plus we have about 12000 pounds of savings between us. (Also my dad has volunteered as third party sponsor and is willing to pay 400 GBP per month until I get a job in the Uk). Do you think this should be enough for maintenance?

  • @maitrayeeb49 Hi, That should be plenty! I would like to point out, every persons case is different, but from the people I have talked to, the amount you have should be more than enough. Good luck on your journey!!!xx And keep us all updated!

  • Wow this is so helpful thanku!! x

  • @xsapphirex1 Thank you and good luck!!xx

  • Wow this is so helpful thanku!! x

  • thank u for this post.my beautiful english wife in uk weve been married 2yrs an we are doing our best to get our paperwork right so that we dont waist our cash an get denied we have everything needed.we jus want to sort bank info out are there anymore hits u can give because im nervous an i jus want to be with my wife again i miss her so much. i too have to travel too states to get biometrics..how has ur progress been good i hope so..wish u and ur husband the best

  • @Keyanthecomedian Hi- I suppose the biggest tips are- make sure you have the three months of income and bankstatements, and keep copies of EVERYTHING!! And be patient ;)

  • Hi -

For the question of your sponsor being born in the UK - you just put his birthdate :)

I did use A Briggs- they were excellent and I totally recommend them!

I did not get my passport untill after I got married, because I wanted it all to have my new married name on it. You dont have to change your name on your passport but it makes things alot easier, however I know you have to pay for it. I am assuming you just get another form (as if you were getting a brand new passport)
